    Cute court yard

We were driving through Bloomfield on our way from the cottage back to Toronto and this place came up on Yelp when I searched for "coffee." The cafe itself is tucked away behind a church and has a lovely court yard. Right now, due to COVID restrictions, orders are taken through a window then patrons who are staying to eat seat themselves. I waited in line to place my order (we were looking for Americanos) but was bummed to discover they only offer drip coffee here. The lady at the window was super lovely and directed me to try across the street at the Public House for espresso based drinks. Since I didn't want to leave empty handed, I ordered a humming bird cake to go to split with my hubby on the way home. The cake itself was super moist and chock full of pineapple, pecans and coconut, all topped off with a glorious cream cheese icing - it was so good! Will for sure return when in the area again to try breakfast or brunch!

Front sign, go down driveway to the cafe.

A hidden gem! Such a cute little cafe we stumbled upon on a Sunday morning when everything else was closed. This site stays it's closed everyday but it was open:)! Very Covid-friendly as you order at the window and ring the bell when you're ready to place your order. The lady working there was incredible friendly! The patio is adorable and creates a very welcoming atmosphere. We had just eaten breakfast at our campsite but we will definitely have to try the food here next time.

With essential oil diffusers located on various tables, a trickling water fountain to set the mood, and gorgeous views of a cornfield, this little patio seems like it was plucked from a fairytale book. Would give five stars because the food was fantastic and the coffee was out of this world (especially coming from a coffee snob!!) but giving four stars because our food took almost an hour to arrive at our table. We ordered the basic eggs breakfast and an egg omelette with toast, so not sure why it took so long, although I did hear the owner mention to friends that she was short a cook. Definitely come here if you want the most delicious breakfast in a tranquil setting, but don't come on a fully empty stomach.

All of it was great - food, ambience and service - all above expectations . It's a special spot in the county!

They make delicious sandwiches, chili, soup and much more. My favorite is the Chicken Caesar Wrap, which is the best I've ever had. The server/owner is very hospitable, and she will give you information about the property and the surrounding area and attractions. After shopping in downtown Bloomfield, stop in to have a bite before heading on.

The lone server…read moregreeted us and told us there was two tables ahead of us, and there would be a delay in taking our orders. Once seated and she took our drink order, the drinks arrived about 15 mins later. Then about 40 mins later she can back to take our orders. We ordered a BLT sandwich and three Chicken Ceasar Wraps. All came with fries. About another 40 mins later, the BLT sandwich came with barely a hand full of fries. The sandwich was warm and partly cold fries. The BLT sandwich was $ 15.00. The wraps came...barely a hand full of fries. My wrap did not have the fries since they were still being cooked. Each Wrap was about $ 17.00. We ate so fast because we were soo hungry, asked for our bill, which was over $ 80.00!! Even when paid for the bill, I had to remind the server about my missing fries. She brought them in a takeout container with again barely a hand full of fries. We would not go back again as we had just stayed at Isiah Tubbs Resort. Not recommended. Slow service and food value for the $$ was poor.
