Tiny glittering objects and trinkets adorn every inch of space, appealing to new age crystal collectors, modern hippies, beach-combing coastal dwellers, cottage core kids, and everyone in between! On the main floor they have most of their crystals and gemstone jewelry, from many different vendors and suppliers. In the little alcoves right near the front door they stock palo santo, cedar, and sage bundles, as well as my absolute favorite fragrances and candles from L'apothecaire. In the next room to the right they have a variety of leather goods like wallets and purses, greeting cards, and some clothing. Upstairs they sell all different types of incense, incense burners, tarot cards, essential oils, even more gems, and candles (including voluspa that are significantly cheaper than you can find online). And I'm just barely scratching the surface of what you can find here. Without a doubt, Heartichoke is a treasure trove that you can easily get lost in.

I usually go in the late afternoon/early evening when it's nice and quiet, so it feels like a personal shopping experience (I have Aspergers, so this is wonderful!). I especially admire their unique Samhain (Halloween) décor around this time of year! If you're goth you know how hard finding spooky pieces that don't "scream Happy Halloween!!" (no pun intended) is to find, and enjoy all year long in your home. At Home should be on your list of places to find cool stuff. As for their other items, they have a nice selection. The departments in the store are neatly organised, well planned out, it's hard to not know where you are in this store. Some of their larger furniture pieces are nice, they look sturdy, and they have a good selection of styles to choose from. I purchased a gamer chair to use as a desk chair a month ago, free delivery for signing up to their newsletter, and it's still holding up very well! Was $200, not including tax. It was within my budget. Also purchased some cool gothic battery operated candles from them last year, they still work perfectly as well! The staff are friendly, the place is kept nice and clean, and the bathrooms are kept up well. Despite the overall positive things I have to rave about, there are a few downsides. Almost every time I've been here the scooter has died on me in the middle of my shopping. I use the scooter because I have chronic breathing problem that puts me at a risk of choking and passing out with physical exertion. The scooter tends to die on me in under 40 minutes. This applies to all 3 of them. I can walk, but not for a long time, and much slower than most people's normal pace. The scooters need to be charged for much longer than they currently are. Second complaint. While the quantity of products is impressive, the prices are not. Those gothic candles I mentioned earlier were $25. They are a set of three of black waxed LED pillar candles, three different heights, with detailed silver wax spiders on them, and the abdomen of the spiders have a red plastic diamond crystal on them. Very beautiful, but not worth that price, considering they don't come with a remote. Also, I purchased one of those cup holder tissue tubes-$5 for the tube with 50 or so (single ply) tissues! Far from the end of the world, but what a rip off!! A nice store to shop in, great products, but a on the pricey side for sure. I recommend, but budget a bit more money.
