    Beef Alcapurrias
    Nicolas L.

I visited Sazon Fry and Grill with my wife for dinner last night and had a nice experience. We shared three dishes: Sorullitos, Beef Alcapurrias, and Cachapa with Cheese and Wood Fire Beef. The Sorullitos (basically fried cornmeal sticks) were crisp, savory and lightly sweet. The Beef Alcapurrias were crispy on the outside and filled with juicy seasoned ground beef. For our entrée the Cachapa with Cheese and Wood Fire Beef was delicious. This was the first time I have ever tried a Cachapa (Venezuelan Corn Pancake); the pancake was soft, sweet and savory and filled with a light airy cheese. The beef was juicy with a nicely charred outside and topped with tangy pickled onions.

I had a decent first visit and was excited to taste Venezuelan grilled food, never having been to their partner food truck (Arepazo's Grill). On weekends they cook "wood-fired beef" over hickory . The smell was 5-star walking across the parking lot. Once inside, it was a cement floor with 5 tables, 2 high tops and bar seating with space for a stage. There's also outside patio seating but couldn't see it from the bar. Everything is painted black so very dark inside (personally didn't feel like a place to bring kids). Two people gave a welcoming hello but then ignored me for 10 minutes. (They'd been open 4 hours so wasn't rushing them to open.) I ordered their "national plate" of 3 kinds of meat with boiled yuca & pickled onions and tajedas, the sweet plantains other nationalities call maduros or amarillos. The server said ready in 10 minutes but it was over 20 minutes, still not long. The beef was well done, already cubed, some parts very chewy. There was only one rib and hard to get meat from it. The locally made chorizo was very flavorful. I'd do that meat again. Had 4 sauces for dunking, spicy green, mayochup, cilantro & garlic. They helped the beef be palatable. Best yuca I've ever had and tajedas were great. Service was fine after the initial issue $25 was a fair price for the special dish. There are several less expensive one meat options. Eight beers on tap. Puerto Rican music played over the speakers. The server said the food is "Venezuelan-Puerto Rican" except for some dishes. I will go again for that great sausage!

Does not look like a fun spot. But I fully endorse if you want a combination of good authentic food and good music. Outdoor space available for people that like to enjoy outside. Great menu at reasonable prices. Fully enjoyed my visit.

Amazing customer service. Love the back yard for outdoor seating. Great place. Food is great and a lot to pick from the menu.

Big Things Come in Small Packages!! I was in town on…read morebusiness and had a craving for Colombian food. Thing is, I had no appetite for a 1-hour drive to Orlando so I took a shot and checked my Yelp for a Colombian restaurant in the area. One appeared and when I arrived, it's a tiny home with 6 tables inside and 4 more outside. We ALMOST made the huge mistake of leaving and I'm so glad we didn't. This 6-topper is a Show Stopper! Cute little place that is extremely well distributed for its size but the true excellence was in the kitchen. I have no idea who was back there but they truly know how to cook Colombian food. But don't just take it from me, I was with a Colombian national from Medellin, Colombia. WOW was this an absolutely great experience! Just what I was craving and a true delight and surprise to the Colombian who was with me. The dishes had authentic flavors. The chicharon (pork belly) had a delightful crunch on the crackling side yet a soft, moist, and flavorful meaty. The morcilla (blood sausage) and chorizo were delicious as well. My company had the traditional beef Sancocho and the flavors were spot on. This location, though not in the tradional "Hot Spot" of Central Florida (ie: Orlando, Kissimmee, Winter Park/Garden) it is by far a wonderful gem. It's worth the drive to try and if you're in the area, don't let this pass you by, you will be happy you stopped in. By the way, if the tables are taken, I'd wait. Until the next time..Enjoy Life - one plate at a time.

Hawaiian pizza was our best option for the day. We weren't too hungry and saw someone eating it as we walked inside. So we had to try it. It's our favorite pizza. As it is for most Colombians! The pizza was good, plenty of pineapple and everything else. Pineapple was very sweet. And it was nice and cheesy I am definitely coming back with the rest of my family, and or friends to try other dishes that looked delicious- like the Parrilla for example. The service was decent. They were busy and so not took some time to figure the sitting and ordering. But once we ordered, the pizza did came out very fast Loved the soccer decor. They're clearly ready for the World Cup or at least I hope so. Nice decor, I definitely takes you back to the city of Bogota if you grew up riding their city bus that was fun for my eyes The place is small with a larger amount of tables. So, it can feel tight when busy. And can only imagine how it would feel if you go there to watch a game. So just be prepared for that. They have a restroom for men and one for women- with a baby changing station
