Maybe I'm ignorant about Italian pizza, but this place stands out against other local pizza places. Great thin pizza.

So glad we found this SUPER cool and welcoming family restaurant! Located on the first floor of a converted Log Cabin, the dining room is surprisingly bright and spacious. We were greeted by a sweet smiling young woman who sat us in a cozy both with the sounds of Italian music playing softly overhead. Christine, one of the owners took excellent care of us for our lunch. BELIEVE it when I say service was impeccable! She was so attentive, made suggestions and brought my spouse a sample of wine he was unsure of trying. That was such a nice gesture! THE FOOD was incredibly good! I had the Eggplant Parmesan which is my go to for Italian dishes- oh my- perfectly done! Just enough crispness to the outer eggplant. Sauce was DELICIOUS! My spouse had angel hair pasta with a huge meatball on top. He was a very happy man as his measure of a good Italian meal are the Meatballs! We shared a freshly made Antipasto salad to start our meal and had more than enough for two. Can't forget to mention the warm bread with balsamic and oil dipping sauce that came with our meal. Spouse had some of their freshly homemade key lime Gelato for desert and I sampled a few flavors thanks to Christine's generosity! So yum! Very Reasonable prices for such an amazing meal with fantastic food and fantastic service! We will definitely be making return visits!

I was hoping the coloring in the pictures was just off, but the cheese on the pizza and lasagna is indeed American cheese not mozzarella. I don't know if this is a regional thing or what as the restaurant has a large following, but my husband and I were in complete disbelief when the food was set in front of us. My lasagna was absolutely inedible. Not only did the sauce taste like it was literally poured from a hunts can, but there was no additional flavor whatsoever. They didn't even try to add any Italian flavoring, no garlic, nothing. The noodles were so overcooked they were just balls of gumminess mushing in my mouth. Not only was the flavor repulsive, but the mouth feel created an effect of repulsion. When ny husband asked how it was, I replied "I cant talk about it" as I forced down as many bites as possible before I stopped as I was feeling nauseous. He had the same complaints about the taste except that his pizza crust appeared to be literal heels of loaves of bread which was smothered with bland sauce, sprinkled with pepperoni then had the yellow cheese dropped randomly on his "pizza". This sad offering resembled a situation where your friend's mother offers to make you Italian food, but they scrounge around with what they have and do their best. We felt we would insult the restaurant with complaints as unfortunately this is their actual product, not a one off. We didn't read reviews or look at pictures before arriving and wish we had. The photos are exactly what you get. And the food tastes as bland and off as it appears in the pics. Save yourself and don't come here. I have no idea why this place has a following at all. The food is disappointing and not good at all. Maybe this is a regional thing or fans don't know any better. We ate a little then took everything to go and threw it in the trash as we didn't want confrontation. My feelings are mixed between feeling insulted for being served this and feeling sorry for the cooks who think they are producing a quality product.

Shared the Funghi pizza with family as an appetizer and was delicious. Ingredients were fresh and tasty. Meatballs are unique and cooked with love. That's what I pictured anyway in the first bite Dinner at 6:00 no reservations on a Thurs for 2. Would have been a 45 min wait, we were offered 2 seats at the pizza bar. Score! We were looking forward to dinner and a "show". Service is top notch. Friendly, helpful easy going. We went and the summer menu had just started. Which I think is a great thing to visit a place the menu changes. Food. We tried the meatball app. rich beefy flavor without the meatball being a dense brick. A chunky tomato sauce packed with flavor. We both wanted pasta and our server helped us pick. We requested 1 swap tomato sauce instead of pesto. The server had to check with chef. It made me think they almost were not going to honor the request. But they did. Phew We loved the orecchiette and rigatoni pastas. Both with sausage one spicy We also had the house made focaccia bread with olives and herbs and a really amazing dipping Olive oil We finished with 2 mini scoops of strawberry and hazelnut gelato. Setting. This is a tiny place. They packed it with tables and chairs. The result is LOuD. And barely room to squeeze in or walk through. That brings the experience down for both of us. Sitting at the pizza bar we could mostly hear each other. I suspect at the tables (by all the shouting) it was difficult to have a conversation. I would love to go back. Might try lunchtime and pray for less crowd This is food we loved to eat!
