A mess of food for $15. The catfish was good, the okra was good, but the Twanky's are out of the world! Imagine a large whole jalapeño stuffed with cream cheese, smoked brisket, and then wrapped in smoked bacon! The flavor was indescribably and smoke was off the charts. They also offer house made pies and cakes for dessert. They have a wall of veteran pictures, which I always like to see. All food is made and smoked in house. You're really missing out on a great meal with great value. You should stop in and see for yourselves what a great establishment this is. I left feeling like I had truly been welcomed, treated right, and that my patronage was appreciated. Kind of rare in today's industry. They run a buffet for $9 where the dishes change daily. I went there for lunch twice this week, on Thursday the main entrees were fried chicken, burgers, and pork chops. Today they were cajun catfish and chicken cordon bleu. The vegetables and greens are seasoned extremely well. Both days I went back for seconds!

I believe the name was Highway 82 diner, but I could be wrong. We ended up eating here because the real Dixie Diner was across town and we were just passing through and didn't have time to go to another place. We were very disappointed as the food at this restaurant was just average. Initially, we had recommendations from friends to try Dixie Diner if we were ever in Texarkana, but when we put it in Yelp it took us to this bogus location. After our vacation was over and we were headed home we found ourselves in Texarkana again at lunchtime and was able to go to the real Dixie Diner and was very happy with our meals.
