If you appreciate amazing gelato, you should be swimming across oceans, riding the waves out, walking across deserts, and climbing mountains just to get to Sbrino. This place isn't just another gelateria, it's a full-blown experience. From the moment you walk in, you know you've landed somewhere special. The gelato? Unreal. Deep, bold flavors made fresh daily with local ingredients. Whether you're diving into something classic like cherry or letting the staff guide you into something unexpected (egg cream, apricot - why not?), it's pure magic on a spoon. And then there's Nico and Ale beyond phenomenal. Genuinely warm, effortlessly cool, and clearly passionate about what they do. They're not just scooping gelato, they're curating joy. Their energy alone could power Florence for a week. We ended up getting a medium cup each of Almond and Cherry , Apricot Jam and cherry and they tasted beyond amazing. To top it all off, the music was dope, laid-back, vibey, the kind of soundtrack that makes you want to hang out long after your cup is empty. This isn't just a spot to grab a treat--it's a place you'll think about long after you've left. A must. A vibe in its own right. An essential. A destination.

The only REAL gelato I had in Italy! Every other place is tourist trap: this gelato is kept in deep metal tins, and is so creamy. 10/10!!! Flavors were all amazing too.

Best gelato in Florence! The flavors are creative and delicious! The staff is friendly and the shop itself is cute!

This was my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE gelato place we ate at in our entire 2 weeks in Italy, in all the cities we visited, from Bologna to the Amalfi coast. Walking up, there was a fairly long line but it only took about 20 min from us to have gelato in our hands from entering the queue by the photo booth around the corner. The inside of this place is decorated really cutely, with a shocking amount of seating inside. They have the metal container with a lid type of system (not the huge brightly colored mounds) so I had in inkling this place would be good. You do the came thing as other places, where you pay for the size you want and then come to pick your flavors. The people working here are friendly and super quick and efficient with scooping. I got the salted caramel gelato (caramello) with mulberry sorbet (gelso). This was actual heaven. I will dream about the salted caramel for the rest of my life, it was that good.

Delicious gelato recommended by our Airbnb host. There was quite a long line to get in, but it was worth it! Medium cup was 4 euros. Unique flavors. Highly recommend!!

The best gelato place we ended up trying out of all the cities we visited (Venice, Cinque Terre, Pisa, Florence). Sbrino checked all the boxes: metal tins with lids to store the gelato and maintain temperature, flat spatulas to scoop the flavors, natural-looking colors, and seasonal flavors. This place was recommended by someone we met who was studying abroad here. The flavors are listed in Italian outside, but if you go inside, they have English translations for the flavors as well. So many interesting flavors to try! I ended up splurging for the three scoops in a cone since there were so many flavors I wanted to try. They had bacio (hazelnut/chocolate), malaga (vanilla & wine; kind of like a rum & raisin flavor), and vanilla bourbon. So good! Very flavorful and silky and smooth texture. This was definitely one of the best (if not THE best) gelato places in Florence. It's conveniently located in the San Spirito district where a lot of the major tourist attractions are (although this was away from all the crazy crowds), so no excuse not to stop by here if you are visiting! Only wish we had discovered this place sooner!

Only gelato I have ever had with chunks of cookies in it instead of on top. Amazing flavor and consistency. I wish I had come here every night for my trip. There wasn't a long line or many people stopping by so the service was quick. You can't see the gelato so ask to try it if you are unsure.

The gelato here is G-R-E-A-T. They have multiple locations in Florence (Italy), but I just happened to be close to this one and visited more than once. It was way better than Perche No. You can get a cone or cup for the same price of 3.50 euros. One scoop can be split into two flavors. Pistachio is a really popular one. During my first visit, they ran out of pistachio and the lady in line behind me got really upset. They said it would take a while for them to remake more. There were 3-4 people working at the time, so they could help 3-4 parties at a time. It's a tiny space inside. I say their best flavors are speculoos and salted caramel. Enjoy!!

BEST GELATO WE HAD IN ITALY. Seriously, not only was the texture and the feel amazing, the flavors were like mini explosions in my mouth. They had so many unique options as well! The Pistachio was the best we've ever tried.

This was an amazing little gelateria right by the pitti palazzo. It was the perfect cold treat during the heat of midday. It had a bit of a line but went by very quickly, and was quite reasonably priced. The variety of flavor options was extensive with basics like dark chocolate to pumpkin seed to pear with chocolate chip. The flavor was rich and delicious, with the hazelnut having bits of nuts to add a little crunch to smooth texture. The dark chocolate tasted like a rich chocolate pudding. My girlfriend says the salted caramel was the best she ever had with a salty aftertaste- every salted caramel lover's dream. Also the portions were very good with each scoop being generous. They had quite an assortment of baked goods as well, which looked delicious and unique. After an exhausting walk in the Boboli Gardens this was the perfect afterstop.

The best gelato in Florence!! I wish I discovered it sooner than my last week here the mint lime flavor is so amazing and my sister still dreams of it haha! This place is underrated and so well priced! Not a tourist trap and so worth going to! HIGHLY recommend coming here if you're in Florence!

Maybe the best gelato in FIrenze. Yes, i know, that is saying a lot. But I stand by my statement. The consistency/texture/ingredients are - as with most good gelaterie here - exceptional. It's the flavors that kick it over the top - dead accurate, and somehow redolent of the *essence* of whatever it is that you're having. I, literally, can't recommend this place any higher - if you can, go.

Lived in Florence for 4 months and this was by far the best gelateria. Great flavors and great service. Cinque stars.

I learned about Vivoli from scrolling Tik Tok one night prior to our trip. Knowing how much we love…read moreice cream and how much we love coffee, we decided to give it a whirl. We came to Florence on a cruise and probably one of the hotter days of this year. We showed up at Vivoli and clearly the Tik Tok went viral, because it was very crowded. We waited in line and it moved rather quickly. We debated on ordered the regular and the pistacchio, but decided to go with the regular affogato. Upon ordering and entering the establishment, it gave off the cutest old time coffee shop vibe. The staff was working diligently to process orders. We watched this well-oiled machine of a staff for several minutes while they passed out 10-15 affogatos within 30 seconds. We sat on the curb and enjoyed ours in the glass cups they gave us. This was a highlight for us. The creamy gelato with espresso on the spoon was perfect for a hot day. I hope this business continues to thrive and I look forward to recommending it to everyone I know heading to Florence.

I heard about Vivoli from a couple of tourists whom I was standing in line with at one of…read moreFlorence's historical sites. I later saw a video about the same spot on Instagram. The seed was planted, so I made it a point to check out Vivoli when I was in the Saint Croce neighborhood. There appeared to be 3 queues at Vivoli: one for the cafe/bistro, one for the gelateria, and one specifically for affogato. I think it was possible to get the affogato from the first queue, but I stood in the affogato only line just to make sure. The queue moved pretty quickly. I probably waited around 15-20 minutes to place my order, which I did on a self-serve automated kiosk. I gave my ticket/receipt to a barista after paying, and then she started working on my drink right away. The process of making the affogato was very fast, and it was fun to watch. I noticed that unlike a regular affogato back in the USA, which is typically one big gelato scoop, Vivoli fills half a cappucino sized cup with gelato and then adds scoops around the edges to form a square shape. I got pistachio, so the gelato gets dipped into chopped pistachio bits. (The pistachio bits did add a nice texture.) Lastly, fresh espresso was poured in. Vivoli had a counter that could fit about 3-4 standing persons. Other than that, there's no where to sit inside the affogato storefront. Mostly everyone else tried to find a spot outside to enjoy their affogato. Although I did enjoy my affogato, I didn't find it particularly different than one I've tried back at home. It was just the prettiest.
