It means so much to me knowing my son feels safe, happy, and loved when he's with her. Ms Kimberly, and Ms Elizabeth have also been incredible with Camila . They treat my children with so much love and care, and that gives me so much peace of mind every day. My younger son (8.5 years old) has been on program for six months after we saw him loose focus and his love of learning during the pandemic. Our neighbor mentioned Kumon to us and I decided to bring him in for an assessment. He is now in the highest reading and math group and his teacher has noted the improvement since September. The shocking news, I think is with my older son (11 years old). We received his schools standardized test scores (they test students quarterly) and he has moved up significantly from starting your program. I had brought in the NJSLA when he was assessed at Kumon with a 208 Fall 2020 for reading (25% growth). We were very disappointed as our son is a bright boy and having a 25% growth was not like him. Nothing else has changed and he has fought the program every day, every step of the way. If he is not an example for kumon, I do not know who would be. He scored in the 99% for growth in reading and language usage!!! ( Reading went from 208 to 235 Language usage 203 to 219 fall 2020 to winter 2021 ) He would not be there without your team. We have two children attending the Village School ("School"), and have been there for over 5 years…read more When our first son started there at the Primary level (at 3.5 years old), it was not our intention to stay at a private Montessori school. However, each year, we saw our boys thriving at the School; not just academically but in their overall development as a person. This is a result of the experienced and dedicated teachers, principal, and staff. The Village School is one of very few Montessori schools in Bergen County that goes to 8th grade. We chose the School initially for this reason, in the event our children stayed on beyond Kindergarten. The School fosters a caring community environment within the school and beyond. It is an ethnically-diverse population of students, with many mix marriage households. The School was (and has been) proactive since Spring of 2020 in complying with COVID requirements to re-open school; so the students were able to start school in September in-person (for those who chose to do so). One week after the March, 2020 lockdown, the School was up and running for virtual learning; keeping a full day school schedule. The teachers worked tirelessly from June to September to get their classrooms re-oriented and ready for in-person learning; which is from 8:30 to 2:30 Monday to Thursday, with Friday being a 100% virtual school day. Despite the challenges this year, our family feels that our children are still being nourished socially and academically because of the support from the Village School.

They also hold executive functioning as a corner stone in its approach to education, something many children are loosing these days. It has structure, a robust and rigorous academic curriculum, and their enrichment programs harken back to what we used to have as children (woodworking, maker space, sewing, engineering, robotics, chess). They also teach Spanish beginning at the toddler level all the way through to eighth grade. We couldn't be happier that our children have thrived there and call it home.

Now a private tutor he can tutor you or your child for the GRE, GMAT, SAT, K-12, college math, economics, statistics courses, high school admissions tests, Regents and State Exams. His hourly rate was reasonable enough for me to have him tutor my daughter 2 hours per week. Ben is professional, shows up on time and is very enthusiastic about the subjects he tutors. He also breaks things down in the simplest way. He is extremely down to earth. My daughter likes him a lot. My daughter took the SAT last month and did well for her first go round. She will take it again in August to try and get an even higher score. My advice to all parents is to shop around. There is a perception that because someone went to an ivy league school that they are the best choice to prepare your child for tests like the SAT etc.. That is not the true. What should matter is the way they interact with you and your child. Also take into the consideration the plan that they come up with in regards to getting your child from A to Z. Every time I did a practice set I understood the applications he taught me more and more. Not only did I do better in my scoring, but more importantly felt more confident.
