I brought it to their attention that I had been allergic to large doses of Sulfa so they just gave me the Vitamin B shot the first visit and offered to do a test dose of lipotropics on my second visit which I did Monday (1-23-2012). It went well. I bought my beginning experience through Groupon and it was an excellent deal even if I didn't use the lipotropics, but just the vitamin B shots. I submitted my health checklist and paperwork on line as they offer that option and they had no trouble locating it when I arrived. Everything is explained fully on their website. My only complaint is that it is not a "homey" or "welcoming" place. The atmosphere is relaxing and beautiful. You are greeted as you come in the door, but not really warmly, establishing trust. The first visit was not an hour like they say and I didn't see the doctor. but only spent a few minutes going over my chart with the PA. I also had to bring the Sulfa allergy to her attention as they were very busy when I was in there. The staff could be a little warmer with the patients and ask questions like they would like to get to know their patients. I had to ask about all of the products, on my last visit, and how that works as it was never initially explained to me. They could make a lot more money if they would explain the shakes and bars as they are delicious and I would definitely recommend them. I told the young lady to choose the packet for me and she chose the lemon and chocolate shakes which are great, and the Rockey Road and Peanut Butter Chocolate Protein Bars which are actually better than any candy bar I have ever eaten and stick with you for at least three hours of no hunger. Nice. Down side this week was that the tech blamed me to a lady that came after me, saying that I "took" the last shot. I had no idea I had done that and would never cause a problem for another individual. That was a mistake. She was also vacuuming when I came in and did not stop to help me making me feel insignificant. This salon is located off of Hodgson Memorial in an older business center. Located toward the back right with lots of parking. Since I arrived later on a Saturday the lot was basically empty. It's located on the first floor and reminds me more of a townhouse set up than a business setup. The first room is the waiting room with a small desk and the business name against the back wall. I was greeted by Laveda who I later learned is the owner. At the time I had only made the appointment for a basic IV bag not knowing much about the others that could be offered. I was taken to the IV room to fill out the paperwork while she finished up with another client. The space was clean, cozy and cute. I ended up upgrading my IV bag after speaking with her more and telling her about my history and how I had been feeling. I was very surprised that she sat with me the whole time I received treatment. There was no awkward silence and we enjoyed chatting like we were good friends. Most salons I know would have just set me up and left me alone but I enjoyed the company. The service overall was great! I warned her in the beginning that I was a hard stick and my veins had a mind of their own and even though I had been drinking a lot water they may still be hard. And they didn't disappoint it took quite a few tries to get a vein which is completely normal for me and after finally getting set up I was good to go. The appointment was scheduled for a hour but it run over a little over 2h but I barely noticed since we had been chatting and sharing stories.
