I have had the pleasure of retaining Nick and his ScapeTech team on two occasions and I look forward to retaining them again for future projects. The first project (in 2016) Nick undertook was a major redesign of our large backyard. From the first time I met Nick, he was very pleasant and easy to work with. He listened to the rather vague, general ideas I had, then offered a number of outstanding suggestions -- which were much better than anything we envisioned. In addition to many new plants and trees, a new watering system and dramatic lighting, Nick brought in a number of huge boulders for additional dramatic effect. We are talking BIG boulders. He personally selected them from his source and with Nick's artistic eye, brought in materials -- boulders, plants, trees, gravel, pavers, lighting -- that aesthetically tied everything together. On the day that a large crane arrived with the boulders, I watched from within the house as Nick carefully placed each stone, positioning and repositioning multiple times, each one in a precise manner to best compliment and enhance the background mountain views we have. Our second project (in 2017) primarily focused on the front yard and an existing "wall" of oleanders. Prior to commencing work, I walked the property with Nick and once again, he offered many outstanding suggestions. We ultimately removed two large, but-quite-old trees and replaced them with beautiful palms that matched other trees we already had. New lighting in front, including in-ground lighting for our existing trees, as well as new plants and dramatic lighting resulted in a wonderfully enhanced presentation of our home, with greater vegetative symmetry than previously existed. The wall of very mature oleanders (planted in 1953) was considerably thinned, removing lots of old "woody" branches, and decades of undergrowth. New soil for the oleanders, a new higher-volume watering system, and berm to contain water were also created. These 60+ year old oleanders have lots of new growth and are going to thrive even better now that they have received the care that Nick and his crew provided. In the backyard, which is large and completed walled, as part of our second project, Nick installed many catclaw vines as well as beautiful tangerine cross vines, all on weathered, metal trellises. The vines and trellises look fantastic -- far better than anything we envisioned. Nick's crew are incredibly hard working and despite the oppressive heat and rigorous work, they are always pleasant, courteous and respectful of the property. In my opinion, Nick and his crew at ScapeTech are the best landscape and design experts in the area. I have used other landscape/design firms in years past, but none compare with the level of service, attention to detail, and reasonable pricing provided by Nick. I will definitely be calling Nick again and I will continue to recommend him, without qualification, to anybody seriously interested in professional landscape/design services offered by a truly nice person who does extraordinary work. read more

We did a complete landscape design and project with Scape Tech, (Nick is the owner and Santiago is his Lead foreman) on our 11,000 square foot corner lot. This included all new irrigation lines and lighting front and back, repaired property drainage (it was crushed underground), 600 square feet of expanded travertine that matched perfectly in the backyard, installed 900 square feet of pavers on our RV parking side, all new pavers in our 200 square foot courtyard. They custom cut travertine and pavers for all new pots installed around the backyard and in the courtyard and the remaining 6 trees. We also had a couple trellises removed from the parameter cinderblock wall and re-textured, and a new cinderblock wall built and textured with a gate installed. Nick is very knowledgeable and was patient in assisting us in our overall design and it came out beautiful! The lead foreman, Santiago is equally knowledgeable and professional. His team was on time every day, worked hard all day, cleaned up at the end of every day and professional from start to finish. The Scape Tech team customer service is second to none. I have and will continue to recommend Scape Tech to anyone looking for a Landscape & design company. Nick and his incredible team finished our backyard in FOUR days. We had nothing but dirt in our new home's backyard, and by the time they were finished with it, we had a giant grassy patch for our dogs, complete with a brand new sprinkler system, gorgeous pavers, fruit trees, and beautiful plants. Everything is stunning and growing. (But he offers a guarantee that they make it through the winter months and will re-plant anything that doesn't take.) Prior to planting everything, Nick took us to a nursery to choose plants we liked, and brought us to another store to find pavers that would work well in our backyard. He gave us ideas about how much we should extend our back patio, where our grass should begin and end, and listened carefully to our wishes. We even had a giant snafoo--and it still only took four days! The pavers we originally chose came from a plant that shut down and they hadn't stockpiled any for future orders. Nick called all 25 locations in Arizona to find them, as well as giving a piece of his mind to the unexpectedly shut down plant. He brought more paver options to our house so we could choose a different kind to keep the backyard's timeline on track. Although they were more expensive, he didn't even charge us extra. His team was talented, efficient, and neat. They did an amazing job. Hire them; it is so very worth it. read more

Just had Nick and his Scape Tech crew finish landscaping the front and back yards of our newly constructed house. We started with not much more than dirt and mud but within a week and a half we had beautiful front and back yards. They started on time and stayed on our job until it was complete. They showed up early, worked late and kept the work site neat. Even on the last day there was no rushing or hurrying to get done. Nick was excellent to work with - easy to communicate and stay in touch with and his guys were great as well. Nick listened to what we were looking for, offered some excellent suggestions,incorporated some nice touches along the way that we wouldn't have even thought about, and was very open to input from us the entire time. He and his crew are sticklers for details and care about what they do. A great example was the extension on our existing pavers driveway. The crew didn't just add on to the edges - they took old pavers out and mixed them with the new. We added to both sides but now even we can't tell where the old pavers ended and new pavers began. That's unlike several other jobs in our neighborhood where you can see a very clear distinction between the old and the new. We would not hesitate to use Nick and Scape Tech again - and we highly recommend him to anyone looking for quality, professional landscaping. read more

After doing extensive research to find a reputable landscape company, we found Scape Tech. We have a large front and backyard that was nothing but dirt and we had a limited budget. Nick, the owner, recognized that and stretched our dollar pretty far. We couldn't afford to do the entire project this time around, but we did get Nick and his team to complete all of the hardscape. Which included over 1900 sqft paver patio/patio extension, 150 ft retaining wall, curbing for 5700 sqft of grass and the entire sprinkler system for the front and back grass areas. The entire project took just over a week. Nick's team was out there everyday (with Sunday off) from 6:30 am to about 5 pm. They took minimal breaks even in the 110*+ summer heat! They cleaned up every night before leaving and left our place impeccable after the project was done. I highly recommend using Scape Tech for a fast, stress free experience. On a side note, even though we could only do half the project right away, Nick designed our entire yard and took time to go around a nursery with us to pick out future shrubbery and trees, so we can do work in the yard a bit at a time until it's time for stage two! I recently built a new home and hired Scapetech to design and install the landscaping for my front and back yards. I couldn't have made a better choice. This is definitely the best experience I have had with a contractor. Nick not only did an excellent job of designing my landscaping, he was incredibly respectful of my budget. Nick and his amazing crew redid part of my large backyard and I am so thrilled with what they did! First of all, Nick came up with a great design idea. I knew that I wanted pavers and artificial turf and Nick gave me some great ideas that I would not have thought of on my own. He was patient with me and was respectful of my budget. I was able to host a large Easter lunch this past weekend because it was so functional and beautiful out there. I did also get other bids and did some research regarding pavers and turf. Nick does the job as it should be done - without compromising the integrity of the work. Yes, I did receive a lower bid however the other company told me that I didn't need to use certain materials and techniques which I learned (by researching it) that the potential for problems in the future were magnified without doing the job the right way in the beginning. I am so thankful I found this company! I originally started my backyard with a company that a friend from work had referred, but unfortunately after giving them money to get started they only worked a little bit and never came back! Being a single mother this was quite a set back. After doing some research I found this company and spoke to them and explained what happened, and they they were so caring about my situation. After looking at my yard they showed me that the company that started laying the pavers had the water DRAINING TOWARD MY HOUSE!! We had Scapetech almost completely redo our landscaping. Started by replacing over 3000 sq ft of concrete driveway with pavers. Unbelievable how quickly they accomplished it. Turned out awesome. Nick was also very creative in designing an all new desert landscaping package to replace our grass and other outdated parts of our yard. In summary, they worked with our HOA for approval, removed concrete, put down pavers, built a small patio, brought in very large boulders, replaced the sprinkler system, and planted well over 100 new plants. Big job, but he has a hard working team. They aim to please. Many neighbors have stopped by to compliment the job. I don't post many reviews, but this an exception. This is the second time in 3 years I have used Scape Tech for my landscaping design and install. The first time he also landscaped my front yard, so nothing much needed there this time around. My need for a new septic tank (nothing to do with Scape Tech) gutted my whole back yard, so I had to start again. Nick is creative, and I totally believe in his ideas. We discussed different options and came up with some plans. He was very knowledgeable about all the different plants and what would and wouldn't work in our space.
