After a brief chat, Dr. Zhang immediately sensed my frequent anxiety. She was incredibly gentle and reminded me that I need to protect my own energy before I can take care of others. Sitting with her, I felt so safe and relaxed that I couldn't help but burst into tears--which ended up being such a necessary emotional release. The treatment itself was completely painless! I honestly couldn't feel the needles at all. I stayed for a 30-minute session, and by the time I got home that evening, my period had started--a clear sign that my body's qi and blood circulation were activated. That night, I slept soundly all the way through until morning, and I woke up the next day feeling full of energy and vitality. I'll definitely be continuing my treatment here for the next two months and am really looking forward to more good news. Highly recommended!

After nearly a year now of regular acupuncture and herbs, I'm very happy to say that not only have my specific issues improved, but I also feel generally stronger. Dr. Zhang also modifies the treatment each visit based on how my symptoms evolve, and is very attentive to my complaints. On top of her expertise, the office is clean and the atmosphere soothing. Which I think is good insurance I pay a lot every month for Empire. I feel terrible. I never was turned down before because of my age. It's not a choice that I have Medicare if medicare don't pick up all of the bill Empire will. So I feel discriminated against. What can I say. I'm sure someone will see me. Referral for more physical therapy and acupuncture was added. Got home and called my insurance company and received a list of acupuncture options. Well I'm going back to STARS rehabilitation center for they were amazing with my physical therapy after I had lumbar spine surgery L5 S1 on Feb 17 2023. Now for acupuncture I stayed in my neighborhood and there was a location in Garden City. I called and spoke to a lovely woman Jeanine. Very bubbly, friendly and helpful. Got me an appt the next day with Dr. Seolhee Kang. I wouldn't wear makeup for you're face down is in the round top of the bed. Walked in and was a bit nervous. Great white space and colour of the herbal supplements in the back. Refreshments available as you walk in to the left. Tea, chips and water. They also have WI-FI. Definitely a great vibe and smell. You hear crazy stories online. Spoke to Domenica at the front desk. Gave her all my medical information of surgeries, doctors, prescriptions and insurance card. She handed me a well detailed questionnaire. It was like 14 pages. That made me feel more comfortable for the intensity of the questions shows true professionalism. All the ladies Domenica, Sindy and Jill were so amazing. Great personality, welcoming, professional and informative. We had small talk. Some laughs. I never felt uncomfortable or dismissed. I was later escorted to my room. Okay now. Loving it. The room was gorgeous. Like a private spa. Towels, napkins, hand wipes. Kleenex, hooks for your personal items. The bed was so so comfy. Would have taken it home if I could. Dime orange like light. Smokey device. Soft music and white noise. At that point I knew I will be back 3 times a week. Domenica let me know what to. Handing me change of scrubs and a button for at any time during the process if I feel uncomfortable to press the button. All changed up and a few moments later Dr. Seolhee Kang arrives. What a sweetheart. She asked about everything. In a kind, respectful and professional manner she let me know it's okay to be nervous. I will be okay. I have gone through a lot. It felt like my mommy giving me a hug verbally. Dr. Seolhee Kang patiently let's me know of the process with the acupuncture, suction cup and heat lamps. Asks me a lot of medical questions, prescriptions I'm taking and the point to be get off the pain meds doing things more natural which is better for your organs and body strength. I'm telling Dr. Kang everything I'm taking and how I'm feeling. Where is hurts. What my daily issues are with pain. She lets me know it's about 45mins and when I get home make sure to rest for 1-2hrs on the couch for you'll be tired and maybe off balance. Most important eat first before taking meds and coming here. For I will get a better result and my body will perform better. I lay down and as Dr. Kang does every needle she lets me know. Explaining what needles at certain places help with. Your organs and mind. Relaxing and pain relief with less meds. Also there are heat lamps put over your body at a distance. Like sun bathing but no sun burn. After acupuncture (30mins) suction cups are used for 15mins. The entire time I was at bliss. Napping a couple times. So relaxing with the smell, sounds, music and the entire private room setup. Sindy (Head Medical Asst) knocks on the door. She takes off the suction cups. Checks up on me asking if I'm okay. I'm okay thanks. I get ready. Sit for a couple minutes head out and make 3 appts. Saturday, Monday and Thursday. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH. YOU WERE ALL AMAZING. My doctor, Dr. Maeng was patient, knowledgeable and literally had hands of magic. I liked that he patiently spent time listening to me and my ailments, and offered some suggestions on things I could do in addition to acupuncture. After one service I began to feel better and I've been back twice since then. I plan to add Liberty Acupuncture & Wellness to my self-care routine because it is worth it.
