Elvis lamp, cute dogs, super nice people? Coin machine, places to sit, brightly lit, parking outside? What's not to like?? I had a day-ruiningly bad experience here this morning. Laundry gives me crazy anxiety. Don't ask me why. It simply does. It's stressful living in a city and on the 4th floor of a walk up and trying to finagle laundry and quarters and carrying things with spaghetti arms! I digress. Usually Soap Bubble is fabulous in helping my frantic anxiety ass when I can't get the card readers to work, or I need advice on which machine to use for whichever size load I have that day (generally gigantic). Today, the card reader on the washing machine wasn't working - this happens to me quite a bit. I tried two cards, swiping in several ways, and probably 15 times they said declined. I know these cards work- I've used them here on these machines a zillion times! The last time this happened to me, I went up to the counter, and the employee was so kind, per usual. They came over and swiped it with their magic touch, and it worked. They didn't make me feel bad at all. It seemed like a regular thing that happens to everybody! This morning I approached the attendant on duty, who I had not seen before. I let her know that my silly ass couldn't get the card reader to work, and asked for some help. She came over to the machine and WAS SO. BRUTALLY. MEAN. I swiped the card and she said, "You're swiping it wrong. You're swiping it wrong. Why would you swipe it like that? Is that how you swipe it at the grocery store?" Not in a joking way... in a very rude, almost-made-me-cry way. Like, why am I being bullied at the laundromat right now? Anyway, she helped me by letting me pay at the computer desk. All while being the rudest lady. I don't get it. Why work in customer service when you despise human beings? I'm too sensitive, and I'm sure everyone else would brush this off. But before I went my boyfriend did joke, "Careful of that lady, she is... testy. Try to avoid that." So, she has a reputation. Laundry is already a no-fun chore that causes many of us stress. Why add to it and make your customers feel stupid and like a burden? Especially when they're being kind???? Sorry to be lame. Just like, WTF. Now I have even more anxiety around laundry, because I have to worry about being yelled at by the Soap Bubble employee. C'mon guys!!!!

Prices are not bad. They use a laundry card system, but also have machines that take credit/debit or coins. The staff has been helpful when I've needed assistance, I just feel like they could do some more cleaning of machines/floors. They also have a dry cleaning service (they send the clothing out, so takes a few days). Overall not the worst laundromat, but I've been to better. Just was convenient location wise.

Some of these bad reviews are skettttttchy. I've only done laundry in person, and have never done a…read moredrop-off so I can't say for sure, but I'm not buying it. Anyhow, there's two laundromats in Biddo that are convenient to me. LaundryUp and Booms. LaundryUp is a bar with laundry services, which is pretty cool, but sometimes you just need a chill, clean, regular laundromat and this is that spot. Better and cleaner than all the ones I used to use in Portland, I'll tell ya that!

I will continue to come here though, because it is close to where I live and the hours are convenient. One of their washing machines "ate" one of my tops. Aka it got caught in the rubberized part on the side of the washer resulting in it being basically ripped to shreds. Not a fancy top by any means. Kind of old actually, only worth about $8 maybe. I told the kind employee who happened to be new and she took down my name and number and informed me that the owner would be in touch with me regarding it. Cool, no big deal. I came in today (a few weeks later) to do laundry. I had not heard anything back from the manager so I asked asked the woman on duty about it. It was the same employee from last time and by the way she was explaining what had happened I could tell the store manager didn't give a flying f**k about their machine ruining my property. I also took notice of their new signage stating "NO REFUNDS", which had certainly been updated since my last visit. I guess the plethora of "no refunds" plaques already plastered all over the walls weren't enough to convey their selfish frugality. Come here for the convenient hours but do not come thinking you will be treated fairly. I don't care about the shirt but I care about the principal. It's better to give a customer the $8 they are owed than to have a negative word be said about them. I guess you learn new things every day

I washed my clothes in a front loader when I got my clothes out the washer machine it didn't agitate and My clothes looked worse they were when I brought them in . I don't even give them one star. it's expensive to wash n dry here it's so gross . It's a complete dump now it used to be okay. I will never come back !!!!
