Bob recently did a LOT of work on my nearly century old house - and it all turned out great! I…read morewanted to replace the original single pane wooden windows with essentially exact replicas and to reuse the original stained trim. It turned out that this was a VERY challenging ask... Bob helped find a dealer who could make and factory finish the windows to the required dimensions and then work with me on fitting most of the old trim to the new windows. It was a painstaking task, especially as the old stools needed to be replaced and Bob had to come up with a clever method for securely attaching the new stools to the windows such that they blended with the existing trim. He also had to create new trim for one window and try to match it to the others. They all came out great, and I realized that I never could have gotten the same result if I had tried to work with a "traditional" window installer - it required more time, patience, and attention to detail than they would have offered. Bob also paid attention to details that don't show, like insulating the area around the windows - another thing I would not have gotten from a traditional window installer. I am thrilled with my 27 new windows! In addition to the windows, Bob also replaced my roof (including fixing many issues that the last roofer just covered up) and identified issues with my chimney, which he also fixed. My house is now in much better shape that it was a year ago. I highly recommend Bob for all of your home projects - he cares about the quality of his work and will work with you to get the results that you are looking for.

Amy Goodstein, at Catskill Valley Homes made the journey with me every step of the way: choosing a model, designing it to fit my needs, my wishes and every last detail (I'm a fanatic for details). Can I have more windows? Can I leave a wall out here? Can I move that wall over 12"? Can I take a door out there, can I put another kitchen window in here? The answer to every question (after she cleared it with Commodore, the company that made the house) was YES! My very affordable home arrived about 8 weeks after I ordered it, right on time. We watched it arrive on two flatbeds and it was perfect! I planned to be surprised, happy, perhaps disappointed about some things, but I found not one tiny bit wrong or out of place or disappointing. I am over-the-moon about my new home. From the exterior siding color and trim (carbon & clay), to every detail on the inside, to the kindness and highly skilled finishing work the CVH team completed (on time and very efficiently) I was frankly astounded at every turn. Frank Finn, Amy and Brian's uncle, guided me through the process of preparing the land for the house to get down the long driveway - all the way to the delivery and set up of the house. There were a few issues which can be expected with the building of any house - nothing out of the ordinary, but Frank, Amy, Brian and Steve addressed all of them quickly and efficiently. If you want an affordable manufactured home, you need a good company that will guide you through the process, return your phone calls, be friendly and professional and see you through to your Certificate of Occupancy. John Arpino did a fantastic job of helping us design the home (Along with Brian), and also helped us tremendously with pricing. CVH/Brian was very upfront with all costs associated with the build, and answered all questions with hidden motivations. I was very pleased with the communication and the fact that not once did I ever feel or see them trying to take advantage of us, or hide any costs, again, everything was very up front. The biggest thing I found was that they stayed exactly on budget, which I found incredible. I never thought that building a new home on un proven ground that would be possible to stay within the contracted budget. I also found the house was built within a very reasonable time frame. They did a great job from the foundation to finishing the house. They made the whole process very easy and simple. I did the floors, painting and tiling of the bathrooms myself, which saved us money. I was happy that Brian and CVH were more than accommodating with allowing me as the home owner to do my own work. I worked with another modular home company before CVH and they would not allow me to work on the house, and also threw in some hidden cost the day were supposed to sign contracts. Jamie was also essential throughout the whole process. She was excellent at communicating, answering all phone calls and emails in a very timely manner. if she didn't know the answer she would find the answer. Jamie also continued to follow up once the home was done addressing any questions or concerns. They did not stop communicating when the home was done, they just continued with great customer service. I am STILL satisfied with their work. All their staff is fully insured and fairly paid (they are an honorable employer) and professional.
