I was there first time with my miniature Yorkie 4 lbs. I asked the staff to give a hygiene clean up bath , I signed up for membership. I was so excited, day before two girls at the front desk were very helpful, and explained the membership clearly ,they were very professional. Unfortunately the next day when I showed up with my puppy for haircut and bath, I asked them to just clean up the face one little matted hair on top of his head, it just needed to be brushed out. I have miniature Yorkie special breed with a silver crown little silver hair on the top. When I picked my dog up, I was so disappointed. I am attaching the picture. They cut the top of the head completely so close in one spot, that it was red irritated skin. When I asked the manager what happened ,the answer was "well there was matted hair so the groomer couldn't brush it out ,so he got it out by cutting it. " And I replied WOW every little dog pools and they don't like to be brushed. Especially my dog is only a year old, I told her that you need to have patience. It looked terrible. Manager had no concerns Amanda front desk, was so surprised and very sad for me. I was very disappointed left in tears because I knew that my husband would be so upset. This is my husband's emotional support dog due to his illness of cancer. I don't think I will be coming back. I will be canceling my membership. Unfortunately I never met the groomer ,never apologize to me and I don't like my dog to be hurt. Very unprofessional behavior, who ever was the groomer that day in Denville location should not work there. You need to have knowledge about dogs and be patient. After i gave my dog a bath today, i realized how long his nails were and that he desperately needed a nail trim. He has severe anxiety with nail trims. I can't do it, my groomer can't and the vet barely can and requires me to give him gabapentin and trazadone which i would prefer not to give him especially now that he's older. I called up Scenthound and they were willing to take us right away! They did a fantastic job and somehow was able to cut all of his nails!! Caution when asking for a cut that is different then their cut chart you might be disappointed. Do not complain about being dissatisfied with their service. After going to the Denville location for almost a year, made a 2nd complaint the cut was too short. They cancelled our membership. read more

Kevin, in response to your answer to my complaint. Your answers don't seem to add up. Your option for having my pups come on Sunday was your decision not my request. And I specifically contacted both groomers who were available. The last Sunday that the pups were supposed to be there, both groomers were available however you canceled due to maintenance. I later found out that in reality no maintenance was ever performed on that Sunday and both groomers were available to take care of my dogs, but you and your management still did not want to service my pets, so I'm not sure where you're getting your information from. Has for your handling fees I don't really feel that they as you say, transparent in structure . I've requested the handling fees to be documented in writing and shared with all clientele. But your management and owner never advised in writing how the handling fees were determined. I requested these things in writing. I also asked to know. where it was documented that additional fees would apply in writing. as for your partner who answered my call while driving, and it sounds like she was traveling under stressful circumstances. I appreciate her answering the call, however maybe it was a poor choice while driving. During the conversation, she was unable to clearly define the circumstances for termination of my dogs memberships. And said that she would get back to me on providing written documentation for termination at my request. I have yet to receive any response or documentation substantiating their termination. There is no documentation of my dogs, causing any harm. I know for a fact that the grooming staff enjoy having my dogs and have never complained about them. quite honestly, I only expect the same respect and professionalism that any client should receive. And I feel that this was very mishandled multiple ways. I would've appreciated your owner partner, or manager taking the time to actually proactively discuss the situation and offer an appropriate notice. Instead, I received a termination notice by text by your partner who verbally told me that she thought that that was good enough . Do you honestly feel that terminating a membership contract by text message is appropriate? I don't know of normal businesses that practice this way and I am sorry to have to inform you of this. I hope that you will take this experience and learn from it. Let's not forget the multiple times that you office has rescheduled or canceled and had to reschedule appointments over the last two years which I graciously accommodated. I don't understand how after being a good client for two years why all of a sudden your staff would have problem.. The only thing I see is your new management that started three months ago when all these problems began. Maybe you should look into that. read more

New to the area, so we took our pup here based on convenience location wise. We were stunned by the prices, which actually wouldn't have been an issue really had the service been top notch. When we picked our girl up, she was still incredibly damp. And once we got home, just petting her produced a ton of her hair on our hands. So we ran a brush through her and tons and tons of hair came off. We have had her groomed previously and never ever encountered this. Again, no problem if it was a discount or quick groom place. We will now instead make the drive back to where we were taking her previously, where the cost is 40% less and she comes out completely dry and brushed out. read more

Horrible experience- took my 100lb labradoodle for intro special. Received back in less than a half hour a 98% sopping wet dog ( they did recommend blow drying but I declined cause by dog doesn't care for it) but expected a well towel dried dog. He was still shaking and spraying water everywhere except for part of his face which was bone dry. Upon receiving my dog back I immediately commented on how wet he was and no offer made to retowel dry him, matter of fact, no answer given at all! I brought my boy to the car and that is when I realized part of his face was bone dry. I immediately return back to the salon and stated my concern of how well could dog be clean if part of his face is bone dry? Once again girl ( Christine) just looked at me, didn't even say anything try to rectify in anyway. So I proceeded to my car, and realized I am really not ok with this. Called and asked to speak with manager,and offered to bring dog back in for them to feel his face. I was told manager was not there, was due in around 1pm and would call me back. Here we are over 24 hours later and no call. My boy's belly/ groin was also still dirty. I would equate this dog bath to that of an automated car wash- u are cleaner than when you entered but not clean. Customer service though friendly initially, leaves alot to be desired if you have any issues! Definitely would NOT recommend wasting your money!! Ps.
