I have been using the mobile grooming service for several months now. My dog was always traumatized after being at the groomer with several other dogs. Now, the mobile Pet Groomerie truck comes right to our home. The truck just sits in our driveway and is a fully equipped grooming facility. They offer every grooming service that any other groomer offers and the privacy is an added bonus. My labradoodle is happy to get into the truck and she comes out clean, fresh and untraumatized! The groomer and lady in the office were so friendly. The groomer came out to discuss with me the length of how I wanted my poodle cut because I wasn't sure and she helped figure out what was best. My puppy looked so precious after getting all cleaned up with a fresh haircut. I found the pricing to be confusing with lots of options for membership pricing/non-member pricing and add-ons but other than that it was great! read more

Worst groomer ever. They are currently running a promotion for teachers and free basic grooming. I would think this is a great time to shine and get new repeat business. Sorry, but we will not go back. They didn't even wash our small dog or trim him. They sprayed perfume on him that was greasy and that was it. Didn't even put a brush through his coat. Girl at front desk said they would do a sanitary trim and it was not done. And even though we had an appointment, they told me they could not groom him. Waste of time. Gave him a bath myself when we got home. Very disappointing. read more

We've had nothing but unresolved grooming issues after every one of our last (3) sessions, and at nearly $100 per visit with the gratuity, this place AIN'T WHAT IT USED TO BE! I got my dog back from Scenthound in Jupiter today and they shaved the FRONT of my dogs legs (a strip right down the front) leaving the back. It's the most absurd thing I have ever seen. I called to let them know so that could be avoided in the future. I didn't ask for a refund or my tip back. I even sent pictures. The manager called me back and had the audacity to tell me the groomer didn't shave her legs she came in that way ( I guess the hair just fell off sometime before I got home). If you decide to take a chance with these groomers I highly recommend u check your dog out THOROUGHLY before leaving. You might not want to leave a tip! read more

Apparently any cretin can hang a shingle and call themselves a "Dog Groomer". I brought my Afghan Hound in for his monthly grooming and walked out with a Greyhound. They couldn't deal with the mats, so they shaved him DOWN TO THE BONE" (and charged me $82 for the effort!!). (WHAT EFFORT!!) I have owned 5 Afghans over 20 years, and I NEVER had a groomer "Give Up" and have to shave a dog. Apparently, these folks do not know the finer points of grooming or de-matting. I would STRONGLY advise against using this service. They obviously take the "lazy way out", and at the customer's anguish. BEWARE! read more

I've been bringing my dog here for years. They have always done a really good job and have an overall friendly staff. Bath, hair cut, ears cleaned, nails-cut and grind, teeth plaque rinse.....will run you around $80 for a 7 pound dog. I don't mind paying it because I can tell they take their time and are gentle with my dog. Never any scratches or cuts on her skin. read more

But all of the old clients are not getting the same service and the dogs are not being groomed the same I left specific instructions on how I wanted the dog groomed as they did prior ....and they did not do the job...I left my dog there at 9 AM and I went at 4:30 and she still was not ready read more

My two doodles LOVE to get pampered at Scenthound. The staff is gentle and kind. The products they use are very high quality and always leave my babies smelling delicious for days. I am very particular about the way my boys are groomed and they do a great job of taking just enough off the top! I also had a bad experience at this location. They shaved my 16 year old long haired dachshund within an inch of his life. He looked horrible, not even like himself st all. I sobbed. I could barely look at him. They said, "It will fries back." Really? He died two months later looking like that. read more

I set up a grooming appointment for my dog well in advance to ensure an early morning appointment. I was given an 8am appointment for a Thursday morning. Pet Groomerie called the day before the appointment and indicated they don't do appointments at 8am, but I could have a 9am appointment which I said was fine. However, I would be required to pay a "priority fee". REALLY!?! Why would they give me an 8am appointment when the first one isn't until 9am? Why would they not indicate there was a fee for early morning appointments when I made it in the first place? I understand if they make a mistake, or the receptionist wasn't properly trained, but don't make me pay a fee for your mistake or lack of professionalism. There were many ways Pet Groomerie could have made this right with me, but they did not. I will never use Pet Groomerie again. read more

This place is great! My dogs Mack and Bubba were having issues with their scent glands and the folks here took care of my pups with out a hitch! Both of my dogs were constantly scooting and after their visit, they both stopped all together! The service was wonderful as well. It's on rare occasion that you find individuals that are as kind and concerned as the staff at scent hound are. This place has changed for worse since no longer Pet Groomerie. I had to take my dog to the emergency vet because her anal glands were not expressed. Scenthound report card had listed it as being done. Turns out it was not expressed. I had signed up for their monthly grooming and decided to cancel my membership and told the receptionist why. She(older lady) didn't say sorry and did not react about my dog, but instead read me the cancellation rights and advised to come in to sign the cancellation. In addition because I had to the end of the month, she proceeded to tell me I have available cleaning if I wanted to bring my dogs that they close at 5. I went in and I wanted to push my vet bill on them, but was persuaded instead to write this review so other people can be aware of the company only wanting to secure a revenue stream. I used to trust my dogs being taken care of people who loved what they do and was a customer since 2013 thru 2015 and recently since I moved back to Florida. Be wary. No longer bringing my dogs and letting my credit company know about this so I don't have to pay their exorbitant 129.00 membership fee because it was too late to cancel. No worries, my dogs are my family not Scenthound- they are just a business and thankfully there are other business to choose from. Sharing is caring. We've been bringing our dogs here for years and have had nothing but a great experience each and every time. We usually go for a full groom with teeth cleaning and nails clipped, but occasionally, when we're short on time, we'll do a quick wash with a towel dry. A great option post beach or boat. The full groom usually takes 3 or 4 hours so budget for that amount of time, but we wouldn't go anywhere else! read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR FURRY FRIEND TO SCENTHOUNDS! I took my seven pound Yorkie Schnauzer rescue there today for the first and LAST time. I had never been there before so I brought in pictures of how I wanted her trimmed. I was very specific and explained that I want her body trimmed short and her legs and haunches left longer. When I just picked her up, her whole body had been shaved down completely and she looks like a drowned rat! This will ruin any holiday photos and she was adorable when I brought her in and just in need of a trim. If I could give zero stars I would. Unfortunately, I had to pay BEFORE they brought her out. They should actually pay ME for the stress this has caused. They also trimmed her nails and now they are like daggers! The person who did Lilly was Oliver. Do yourself and your pet a favor. They were so patient and loving with her and really seemed to understand dogs and dog behavior. They spent extra time and attention on her, helping her feel more comfortable with the whole process. I have the sweetest, most lovable dog, and they told me my dog was growling and showing teeth, and said they couldn't handle doing her nails. I went to Waldog Astoria (where she goes to daycare and loves it) and they brought her back and had her nails done in 10 min! I will never go back to Pet Groomerie again. You can't stick a dog in a small crate and not expect them to be scared!! read more

I tried initially with a groupon. Will not return. The first time one of my cavachons came home with a cut. No one bothered to tell me they nicked and cut her. Went back giving benefit of the doubt but this time the other one came home limping. Not good !! I also noticed a big sign by the front desk for receptionist to ask for proof that shots be up to date!!! No one asked me!!!! Nope. Unfortunately, used their services last February to groom my toy poodle. Had a long discussion on how I wanted her to look, and was assured everyone there was professional and had plenty of experience with giving poodle cuts. Well, I paid an obscene amount of money to have her bathed and groomed and out in an hour, where I was shocked to see what they had done to her. Instead of a round head, they had clipped her head on a diagonal straight back, and she looked awful. Her coat was uneven. I will not go back. read more

BIG MISTAKE taking my beautiful Coton de Tulear to these idiots. I gave them instructions multiple times upon drop off so there would be no mistakes. I clearly stated Please do NOT touch her head or tail...PLEASE do NOT touch her head or tail at all! The groomer wrote down the instructions which I thought was good...it apparently wasn't enough. They shaved his poor dog down to a nub. I didn't recognize my dog when I went to pick her up. DISASTER! read more

Don't be fooled by the 4 1/2 star rating, which was our reason for choosing this groomer. While the friendly staff was a plus, their talent was sorely lacking. We took our Pomeranian for a trim, specifically telling them NOT TO SHAVE his beautiful locks, and after 3 hours and 2 phone calls from them to us trying to figure out what we wanted vs what they could do, which looking back we should have seen the red flags that they did not know how to groom a pomeranian, the only word that comes to mind was shock! Not only did they shave his entire body of all of the fluffy hair, the first words out of their mouths were "were so sorry we had a problem cutting his hair so we had to shave him to even it out." Even though I was infuriated and shocked, I had to pay for their mess up. I would have had more respect for this groomer had she simply said, we are not sure how to groom pomeranian dogs, maybe you should go to a professional. We are still in shock, and our dog was traumatized by the whole thing on top of everything. Pet Groomerie, you know you deserve this 1 star rating. Next time keep within the realm of what you may do best, be honest with your customers and stay away from dog breeds you are not trained to groom. read more

I am almost remiss to write this because the staff was very nice, but my poor golden doodle just received the worst grooming of his life! He is all uneven and is practically bald in some spots. He looks like he got into a fight with the trimmer and he did NOT fare well! I'll admit that he had some mats, but my regular groomer would have taken care of those without a problem, not shaved him to bare skin! Good thing hair grows back, because it is not good! I honestly feel like I could have done a better job myself, not to mention that they charged $115 and I usually pay $75 on a regular basis. I would have expected much more, since they literally have a golden doodle on their advertisement! The more that I look at him, the more upset I get! Maybe they are good for baths and simple things, but I would not recommend them for any type of actual real grooming service on dogs that need special haircuts. read more

I booked an appointment two days ago for my 2 dogs. They took all my information including my address, dog breeds/special needs, and the package I was going to purchase for each dog. They booked everything and informed me they would be here between 1 PM and 3 PM. They SEEMED very friendly and professional. Then at 1:07 PM today, after I had already taken off work early to be here, they called me and told me "we are no longer coming". They said that I'm out of their area although they have a salon within 5 miles of me. I asked why they didn't tell me this when I gave them my address initially and before I took off work to be here. The girl was extremely rude and said "well I'm sorry, but we're not coming." The reason I picked this company was because it had wonderful reviews, but after my experience with them, I'm wondering how many of them are fake and posted by their own employees. This company is extremely unprofessional, unreliable, and I would NEVER recommend them to anybody!!!! read more
