The star of the show were the potatoes. Potatoes mashed right in front of you with sour cream and cheese. We could have added even more toppings, but that's all my wife wanted. It was absolutely amazing and perfect. As I write this review, I'm regretting not going back here for round two before we left. The reason I compared it to Auntie Anne's despite having vastly different pretzels is because it was in a small kiosk in the train station, and looked like the kind of place that would be anywhere that kiosks exist. This was the first place we visited after getting to Munich, so we had a bit of culture shock when realizing that not everyone who worked here spoke English. There was one person behind the counter who did, and she was very friendly/helpful!

We repeatedly tried to get someone's attention to place our order, but the servers seemed to avoid eye contact and kept waiting for someone else to help us. Even getting the check was a struggle--we eventually had to get up and go to a counter ourselves. It felt like the staff had little interest in actually serving the customers. The atmosphere itself has the traditional Bavarian beer hall feel, but unfortunately, the poor food, disappointing beer pour, and especially the terrible service completely overshadowed it. I really wanted to like this place, but based on our experience, there are much better beer halls and beer gardens in Munich.
