Friendly staff, but be prepared to deal with price adjustments and upselling. Ring had a cracked side-stone prong and was reviewed & quoted by the in-person jeweler, at a reasonable price in line with this simple fix. Left the ring but was called back in an hour claiming that the original estimate was only to fix the prong itself, and that it would be an additional $130 to re-seat the side stone. Fixing a cracked prong is not a standalone task - the stone obviously needs to be re-seated. This is not how quality jewelers quote - regardless if my experience was poor quoting or a poor attempt at upselling, it's poor business practice. Look elsewhere read more

We went in just on a whim to find out if they could do a custom wedding band. Cali waswonderful! We decided to work with her and Schapell Jewelers. She took her time explained what could be done, what it would take to do what we envisioned. This was over many days, she was very patieint through my indecisiveness. Cali answered all my questions and gave me other options to think about and different price points. Finally we came to a decision and she was able to order exactly what was discussed. Rose gold, flat band, satin finish with a deep engraving of abstract mountain outline. It's beautiful and exactly what I had envisioned. Mine is 4mm and my fiance's is 6mm, same style. I also bought an engagement ring from another seller and had Schapell place a family heirloom diamond into the center. They did this with a fairly quick turnaround, and it looks beautiful. Wonderful service! I took a ring in here to get resized, prints adjusted and appraised for insurance reasons. I was immediately greeted with smiles (with their eyes since everyone was wearing a mask). The staff quickly took down all the info and provided me with a bunch of options when it came to sizing. I had always thought I needed knuckle beads to accommodate my 2 size difference between my finger and my knuckle (dang genetics). The associates explained a few other options that might be more comfortable and functional for my ring! I chose to go with the wings, which is a better solution for such a large difference in size. I couldn't be more pleased with the end result! The ring looks more beautiful than ever and fits so comfortably on my finger! I was also impressed with the turnaround time, it was only about 10 days! Nice friendly place. I took my nice dress watch there (Tag Heuer) just to get the battery replaced. And they did it in 1 hr for $10. Usually a jeweler wants to send my watch off, have it water tested, and finds a million other things wrong with it to charge me hundreds of dollars. They did note that the stop watch didn't reset to 'zero' exactly and they could have it fixed. But I don't use that feature very much and they said that's fine to just leave it 'as is'. Rob came through for me and designed this gorgeous diamond ring with a GIA rated yellow diamond as the centerstone. It's hard to say enough great things about Schapell Jewelers. My boyfriend bought me a beautiful antique ring when he proposed...but it was too big. We read good reviews about Schappell's & took the ring there to get re-sized. Christine was extremely helpful and thoroughly inspected the ring for us before we left. Our diamond was loose and there were several visible cracks in our old ring, all of which she pointed out & visually showed us. I was concerned that my antique shank, which is very thin, was going to break and inquired about whether they would recommend a re-shanking, but they didn't, explaining that our ring material (platinum) is stronger than gold & re-shanking now would be a waste of money. This gave me a lot of confidence that the people at Schapell were not trying to rip us off. The jeweler did a phenomenal job of fixing every problem in just a couple days, and when it turned out that we chose a slightly-too-small size for the re-size, they fixed the problem at no additional cost to us. Schapell Jewelers is very ethical and affordable, they really seem to care and their jeweler is a true professional and an artist. We both highly recommend Schapell! read more

I have a very uniquely shaped engagement ring and was worried we would not be able to find a wedding band that would accompany it beautifully. However, my expectations were met and then-some. From the very second we stepped in the door, all of the staff was so nice and accommodating. Everyone made us always feel welcome and like family each time we were in. We had the pleasure of working with Elise directly. Elise went above and beyond to help find the perfect wedding bands for each of us. Her talent of an eye for jewelry is nothing short of professional and amazing. She allowed us to try multiple bands, even ordering some that were not in store for us to be able to see in person. I've had contact with Frank and the Schapell Jewelers team since 2006. Frank was a savior of sorts in my darkest hour. My ex-fiancée and I decided to split in 2006 and I was able to get the ring back, but the Shane Co where I had purchased the original engagement ring, has a strict no buy back policy, even at a discount from what was paid. Frank agreed to take the ring off my hands at a fair price and I told him that if I ever found the right girl in the future, he'd be the guy I would come and see. Fast forward to 2009, I found the right girl and I head back to see Frank. With his help and Christine (one of the great employees at Schapell), we picked out a ring for my wife and Frank provided incredible quality along with a great deal. I then bought my wedding band there later in the year before we got married in 2010. I had a small diamond from my grandfather's 50 year Mason ring mounted to the wedding band and it looked and looks phenomenal. We were incredibly happy with the service in 2009 and 2010 and have been back to get our rings cleaned too (which they make look like new). Then, just this last week, I went to Schapell because my wife had handed over her ring for a "cleaning" and I worked with Christine and Frank to upgrade my wife's diamond and take the diamond she had in her wedding ring and place in a pendant for a necklace. Again, all done with the highest standards of quality and care in mind. And, again, Frank was incredibly generous in his final price when it came to the labor involved for the jeweler, the new appraisal, and the new jewelry for my wife. I told him then as I am telling you know, as long as I am in Colorado, Schapell Jewelers is the only place I will patronize. I recommend them to friends all the time and now I want to take the time to recommend to the Yelp Readership. If you want to go into a store where they don't just look at you as an opportunity and a dollar sign, Schapell Jewelers is the place you should seek out. My husband got me a beautiful amethyst ring (thank you Husband) for my B-day and I couldn't wait to wear it, but it needed to be sized down to fit my bitty finger. So we went to Shane Co. where they told me they wouldn't size it because the stone is too fragile and it would be a liability... I've never heard of that! So, I decided to give Schapell's a shot. Not only are they going to size in 2 days, but the service was steller! The owner's daughter was so nice and even took the time to talk to me about the micro-pave diamonds in my ring and how sizing it down to a 5 might loosen the setting.
