I will say after I left my review yesterday I received a call from one of the owners and have some crow to eat. It has changed my view on the ownership of this place. Sounds like the issues with my watch may have just been a series of unfortunate events, and will update the previous review as soon as I get it back, but I was very impressed with her willingness to do something tough and call a frustrated customer personally even though it was not her fault. Her willingness to actually listen is very rare these days, often times you'll just get a canned response, but I left this conversation feeling heard, and that their shop truly does care about its customers. I took my mother's old engagement ring there to have the stones reset in a new design more to my liking. I worked with Emily, who was so helpful in figuring out the right design. They then had the CAD design worked up and then a ring made of wax for me to try on before they made the final ring. I was in here yesterday as I wanted to get an Opal taken out of its setting. I've never taken jewelry somewhere before but the staff was super helpful as soon as I walked in! They took my Opal and had perfectly removed it from it's setting in just minutes, and it only cost me twenty dollars to boot! I was super happy with the whole experience! For our 10-year anniversary, my wife and I wanted to custom make a new band out of platinum and a diamond setting that matched her wedding ring and would be fused together with the ring set. I found this place in yelp and walked in, telling them I just needed a ring size and wasn't able tot buy anything today from them and asked if they could help me, Morgan gave me a smile and said, "That's what we're here for." I was greeted by Laura and quickly began talking about various Rolex models and assembling a wishlist. The staff is very professional, knowledgable, and most importantly quick to identify what my needs were. They assisted me on making a custom mens wedding band which I love. My wife wanted a unique engagement ring and they helped me though the entire process and even were able to cast it in a medal that had not been done before. They also were able to identify and order a special wedding band that she had seen and really liked. I shopped around Denver/CherryCreek/Castle Rock prior to going into W&H and was recommended from a friend that this was the best place to buy an engagement ring. My friend was absolutely right. Once you speak to their staff you can tell you are working with well informed, top notch people. They guided me into exactly what I wanted. They do not carry low end diamonds for example so everything in the store is something you would actually want to give someone for a lifetime. I also purchased a Rolex here and felt that I got a really great deal having been shopping in Las Vegas the week prior. I thought I was comparing similar models to what they had in the store and they were able to point out several flaws on the one I had been looking at so I went with them. A great place for getting ears pierced! I recently took my 6 year old who wanted to get her ears pierced. She was nervous but Don Janson was great. She felt confortable and they look great! The total cost was about $48 for the piercings and studs (beautiful gold spheres). Don said to come back in 4-6 weeks when he will take the studs out and put in her next earrings (birthstone studs for about $75). As a mom, I was nervous, but I felt much better about the quality and attention my daughter got. Also, there were lots of other customers in the store (probably spending a lot more than $48) but that didn't stop Don and the others from giving attention to my daughter. Fantastic customer service and a fair price! What a gem this store is! It is a very upscale jeweler with quality pieces, but they won't hesitate to serve whatever you need no matter price range. I brought in two sterling silver bracelets and a watch band and was in hiking clothes. I was immediately greeted cheerfully as I walked through the door, treated with courtesy and respect. There was nothing ostentatious or uppity there, but only a very obvious desire to serve the customer. Mark worked with me to get the resizing exactly what I wanted on the bracelets and watch band. Then once we were sure that was right, and Mark took the time to try and retry and try again, John (aka "the torch guy") did meticulous quality craftsman work. Mark and John just hung in there and made sure I was happy with no hesitation to tweak some more and no pressure to accept it until right. They polished my inexpensive ss bracelets and we had a wonderful chat - two nice gentlemen who just seem happy in their work. Service was fast. Quality was high. Courtesy was off the charts! Whatever your jeweler need, I recommend you try here first - don't assume their prices will be unreasonable. They are professionals and provide quality service at an honest and fair price. I will go here first for all my needs from a watch battery change to a jewelry purchase. To be honest I haven't seen this level of service and expertise in a long time and it is refreshing. I can't count the number of times I have looked in display cases for a long time before anyone came to help in the big chain jewelers. That's not the case here.
