So to further embarrass himself, the staff and the association he works for, Joe M. (SAA treasurer) sends me this email this morning. Rosie is the pac-10 head football coach of SAA (my son's last year in SAA). Being a parent is tough. Sometimes you still have to let them play with their friends, regardless how you feel about the adults running it. But we've moved since and that equation is now gone. No more SAA and our son is just as excited.
For instance, my son hurt his neck playing in a game. It came down to the day before the game and he woke up and told me his neck was stiff. Who would let their child play a contact sport on a neck injury? I emailed the coach and his reply was mainly concerning the amount of notice he got, REALLY?! After a few replies back and forth, he resorted to calling me a dick and that's where I ended the conversation. You'll see in the recent email I got from Joe M. with other coaches CC'd, they know I've left reviews about them, so at anytime, they're more than welcome and I encourage them to open some dialogue about this situation, if they feel I'm being dishonest. I have plenty of saved emails.
It's been weeks after the season, I wasn't going to leave a bad review this year, even with not having to deal with these people again and with what's been said and name calling. But to have this kind of child's mentality to have to send out one last insult, just warrants it.
Retaliation for giving an honest, well deserved review. Not an email trying to bridge a gap. Usually when someone gets upset about what you say, a lot of truth can be within those words.
This is SAA football.
Keep it classy SAA.
Beginning email:
Rosie,
As the year comes to an end, I wanted to thank you on behalf of all the people that LOVE SAA Football. Everyday we have coaches, parents and players that give their all to this program. I personally have given everything I could over the last 7 years, and I am very proud to be part of SAA Football.
During this time, I have had to deal with terrible people. You had to deal with that this year as well. We will continue to not let people like this change how we feel about doing what is best for the kids and the program. Are we perfect, no. Some people like to attack from behind a fence, while being far far far from perfect.
Lets hope the people that like to post negatively about the program find a home they are happier with. Maybe this year we wont have someone post how no one should join SAA Football and then be the first to register their kid for it.
Terrible people are not able to see how terrible they are, which makes dealing with them even worse. Except to say, please dont come back, we dont want to see you anymore.
Great year Rosie. read more
