The staff was plentiful to help and friendly. Inside the arena the seats were comfortable and everything felt close to the action. The in game production was good and orderly. Try the Cardinal popcorn as it is a mix of butter and Carmel popcorn. It's very tasty. I thought it was odd that the arena didn't have a clear bag policy. This didn't slow down entering into the building too much. However it isn't very standard for the sports industry. The other oddity was the facility design. I loved the easy access from the parking lot into the arena. However, you have to climb stairs to go up into the arena. No simple walking in the same level from the box office to the arena concourse. There are elevators if you need them. And the stairs are wide and very safe. Just an odd design to me.

Even the seats on the side are angled into the center of the court, so you're just a bit more comfortable. The glass on the front row of the upper level gives more of a viewing opportunity. The natural light is a great tough, getting to see just a little bit of the Indiana sunset as you take in the game. Even the concession stands are thought out enough to be inside the playing area, which makes for some difficult line navigation but cool nonetheless that you don't miss any action while waiting. In true Indiana style--and I mean this in a great way--this feels like an expanded Indiana high school gymnasium built for basketball rather than a big arena for multi-use at a university. This place was MADE for basketball. Highly recommend a game here.

We snagged excellent seats but they were occupied by a bunch of students, who begrudgingly eventually did move. We went to the VIP section where they celebrated with Fat Tuesday cakes, cookies, another beverage stand, veggies, etc, met the Merchants frog, and had a fun Night together. The bathrooms were clean, admission into the facility was quick and easy, security check points moved fast and overall, both kids had a pretty smooth introduction to sports in the safest environment possible!

I wish that they would make some kind of rule that people cannot reserve entire rows of seating for guests that have not yet arrived, but I suppose that is a personal preference. Their concessions were open, and they had a stand out front where you could buy flowers and mementos for the graduates, which I thought was nice. If you happened to be "up in the rafters" they also had huge screens where you could view the ceremony from the perspective of cameras that were strategically placed around the stage. Parking was $10, but I feel that it was well worth it to be able to have so many family members and friends with us on such a joyous day!

One of the biggest bonuses was the location. It was an easy walk from our hotel, and if the weather is warm, you can actually walk through the convention center, which is air-conditioned. That was a huge plus! There were also plenty of bars and restaurants along the way, so you have lots of options if you want to grab dinner or drinks before the event. As soon as we arrived, there were Fever signs and decorations everywhere. My girls are huge Indiana Fever fans, so of course I had to take approximately a million pictures for them! Even though Gainbridge is home to the Fever, I really appreciated that they didn't make the arena feel like it was only about the home team. There were plenty of photo opportunities and decorations specifically for the Garth Brooks concert, along with promotions for upcoming events featuring other artists and teams. It made the arena feel very welcoming to everyone, regardless of what brought you there. Every staff member we encountered, from the people outside to those inside the arena, was incredibly friendly and helpful. And they have a Chick-fil-A inside, which is always a win in my book! Our seats were up in the 200 level, which is definitely getting into nosebleed territory. The stairs were extremely steep, there wasn't a ton of legroom, and as a larger person, the seats felt a little tight. Once we got up there, though, we basically decided we weren't leaving until the concert was over because getting back up and down those stairs was an adventure! Thankfully, the concert itself was fantastic, so we didn't mind staying put. One of my favorite little details was the staff name tags. Under their name, they had the word "Drafted" along with the year they started working at the arena. I thought that was such a fun and unique connection to the team and a really clever way to make the staff feel like part of the organization. Overall, I really liked Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The location was convenient, the staff was fantastic, there were plenty of places to eat nearby, and I loved how they incorporated both the Fever and the Garth Brooks event throughout the arena. My only real complaint was the seating in the 200 level--especially the steep stairs, limited legroom, and tight seats. But the concert was amazing, the atmosphere was great, and we had an awesome night. I'd definitely come back to Gainbridge Fieldhouse; next time, though, I might try to get seats a little closer to the action!

This year I got to experience the private area behind the field. The space contained multiple…read morepicnic tables and 3-4 repeating food stations. Several coolers of beer and non-alcoholic drinks lined the VIP area and we also had access to a full bar. Food was standard ballpark food plus sides - huge hot dogs and brats, mashed potatoes, green beans, rolls, mac & cheese, and more. Bags of peanuts and cracker jacks were laid on the tables and a freezer held dippin' dots. Later we received coupons for soft serve ice cream. A section of seats was available to our group to watch the game; however, we could see from our VIP section. Overall the staff were friendly. They oversaw the coolers and bars, and we were regularly ID'ed.

We ended up at Victory Field last night in the most unexpected way! We were actually on our way to…read morethe Garth Brooks concert when we ran into a man who had two extra tickets to the game. His grandfather was being honored for his connection to the Negro Leagues, and he told us that his grandfather had even thrown out the first pitch at Victory Field a few years ago--while in a wheelchair. We couldn't pass up the opportunity to be there for such a special moment. We only had a short time before we needed to head to the concert, so we went in specifically to see the tribute and experience a little bit of the stadium. Even though we weren't there for an entire game, I'm really glad we got the chance to visit. Congrats Bill Owen's and family! One thing I loved was how much Victory Field embraces and honors the history of the team and the people who helped shape baseball. There was so much excitement and genuine support throughout the stadium, and it was really special to see the crowd come together to honor someone's family history. The location was also incredibly convenient for us. The stadium was directly across from our hotel, so it couldn't have been easier to get to. What started as a random encounter on our way to another event turned into a really meaningful experience. We were honored to be able to support this man and his grandfather, Bill Owen's, and witness a small but incredibly special piece of Victory Field's history. Sometimes the unexpected parts of a trip end up being the memories you remember the most.

First time at Kokomo Municipal Stadium and first jack rabbits game(single A team, Great Lakes…read moredivision of the northwood league). I went to some single A games in Virginia that were played on a high school field, so I was shocked when I arrived. It's a really nice facility, I was told IU Kokomo plays their games there. Not familiar with the ballpark, my experience started with buying tickets over the phone. I described the kind of seats I wanted, lady at ticket window provided exactly what I wanted; they were great seats!! The night I went was thirsty Thursday, so domestic beer was $2 for 12 Oz glass. Had a brat and eventually French fries. Parking was easy, may be a challenge if sold out. I had a blast!!!

They'll turn up the ballpark driveway, not knowing for sure why they're doing it. They'll arrive at the ticket gate as innocent as children, longing for the past. Of course, we won't mind if you look around, they'll say. It's only eight dollars per person. Folks'll pass over the money without even thinking about it. For it is money they have and peace they lack. And they'll walk out to the Umbrella Bar and the Backyard, and sit in shirt-sleeves on a perfect afternoon. Or they'll find they have reserved seats somewhere along one of the baselines, where they sat when they were children and cheered their heroes. And they'll watch the game, and it'll be as if they'd dipped themselves in magic waters. The memories will be so thick, they'll have to brush them away from their faces. People will come, Funk...The one constant through all the years, Funk, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It's been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt, and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game -- it's a part of our past, Funk.
