The state fairgrounds are great pleased to host events. It's very clean. The lines were orderly and people are cheerful. It was an awesome event going to see oddities and curiosities today.

Love seeing the Fuel play. Always a good time. Beers aren't cheap but that's ok. The pizza is really pretty good. Perfect for a lite dinner during a period break. Bring a sweatshirt as it's cold for the games. Fun time win lose or tie.

I've been here for two hockey games and they're so much fun! It's small enough to watch closely but has a great size for a good crowd! There's a Jose Cuervo bar that is spacious. We came for Blackhawks night and it was packed and they had a great intro for the night including autograph signings and Jim Cornelison singing the National Anthem.

Its a venue so hard to rate. Food and drink is typical for ballparks. Prices are reasonable. Parking is a challenge if you have to park in the oval. Expect delays exiting if the crowd is large. Seats are average but its small enough that all seats are good for viewing events.

The husband and I went to our first Indy Fuel Game Last night, December 17, 2021. We looked so forward to it as it was our anniversary and we were anticipating having a lot of fun. We went hungry because it was an all you can eat night and popcorn was on the menu. We arrived in time -driving through horrible cold misty rain and found a parking spot about three blocks from the entrance to the Coliseum. Since it was raining we had carried our umbrella on our three block walk. Upon entry we were met with metal detectors and purse searches. Immediately I was told my purse was too big to carry in and was informed I wouldn't be allowed in with it. I was informed this by some guy who looked like he hadn't had a bath in about a week and smelled like it. When I told him it it conformed to the policy on the website he, again, told me it wasn't allowed. I again informed him it was allowed according to the website protocol. Another "security" person, a large, rude, woman was summoned and she told me I can take my purse back to my car or leave and not come back. So rude. So disgusting. My husband walked the three blocks back to our car, locked my purse in it and returned to the entrance. While I was waiting for him to return I noticed several woman carrying purses that were larger than mine. The purse size rule is it has to be smaller than 14x14x4". Mine measured 9x8x3". Husband returned from the purse-locking up drenched because-no umbrella was allowed either. So our fun night is off to a crappy start. We went to our section where we were met with a worker who wanted to show us to our seats. He tried to tell us our seats were in one place when, clearly, he was wrong. If your staff can't figure out their ABC's please don't hire them. We found our seats in row D, section 200 and found out the people seated behind us had a cowbell! I guess loose metal objects are allowed after all! Cowbell lady proceeded to ring the damn thing constantly. How fun is this! We had a cold hamburger, stale popcorn, and paid $6 a piece for a soda. We bought a 50-50 ticket because the youth hockey deserves the support and we're glad to contribute. After the game, we walked three blocks, in the even harder pouring rain, no umbrella, and we're soaking wet when we got to our car. Thanks, Indy Farmers Coliseum. We won't be back to watch an event in your venue. We won't spend our money supporting rude people, inconsistent policies, and lousy food. Too bad the team didn't enjoy a full house last night because they won. They deserve it a standing room only crowdUnfortunately, they won't get better attendance with people like this making it miserable for those of us who don't want to be treated rudely or so inequitable.

The Indiana Famers Coliseum (or The Coliseum as we called it back in the day has definitely risen again to become a place for events in Indy to be hosted. From musical concerts, comedy shows, marathon events, car shows to hockey games, do not be surprised at who may be having an event at this venue on the northeast side of Indy. The fascinating history of the Coliseum is worth learning about. I had the opportunity to learn about the Coliseum during a history class field trip but there is also a historical fact sheet that be found during an internet search. The $53 million dollar renovation completed in 2014 and was well worth it. Getting There - Conveniently located off of Fall Creek, Binford Boulevard or 38th street, the Coliseum is centrally located in Indy. Parking - Usually you can enter in from the east, west or south entrances for events throughout the year. Usually you will pay around $5 to park. Note: if you are sporting those cute but non friendly for walking shoes, you may have to walk a bit depending on where you park to get to the Coliseum. Venue - Stairs can be steep so be careful if you are still sporting those cute shoes after your potential trek to the building. Sitting in the lower sections to the left or right of staged events is your best bet if the stage is at one end of the building. Accessible seating is available as well. Concessions - Available in the 2nd and 3rd floors you will find the basic food staples such as popcorn (extra butter is not an option), candy, nachos, pretzels and hot dogs. One wing cart was also present. Water and soda is available for consumption. The adult beverage selections will not win a mixology competition but if a spirit + soda is enough you should be able to have a pick of about 10 spirits and 3-4 domestic beers. They did have one local craft selection from Bier Brewery. Gotta Go? Restrooms are strategically placed and been renovated. Climate - Quite adequate in relation to the outside relative temps. They seemed to cure the draft during the renovation that used to be present from long ago. Overall the renovation has definitely upgraded the facility to make it a real contender in the entertainment business as well as a good spot for other types of events. There is more to the Coliseum than the once a year fair event.

The only times I have been to the Coliseum have been for hockey games...so my perspective is all based on that. The recent renovation seems nice enough...I know a ton of money was dropped to bring the level up. The building is old...but nice. There isn't a bad seat in the arena for hockey except maybe at glass eye level and I prefer sitting higher up anyways. The curtains in the 300 level are weird...it feels like they could have spent a bit more for walls or something (but maybe there is a reason). And the rows in the 300 level are a straight guessing game...a big letter "D" at the start of the row would help. Parking is hit or miss depending on where you come in. Last visit was a nice crossing over the muddy horse track/infield...and muddy feet are always great.

Love to go to hockey games here, concerts, not so much. Perfect venue for a hockey game. No matter where you sit, you're going to have a great view, so you don't have to shell out a ton of money to go to a Fuel game. I've been to a few and it's never a dull moment. The only time I was extremely irked (and yes, I'd had a little beer at this point) was when we snuck into some closer seats and this shrimpy security guard told us we had to leave. Problem was, there were several people doing the same thing. I won't go into detail, but he looked pretty foolish by the end. Check my photos to see the little tattle tale :)

Hockey is back! I came here for the inaugural Fuel game welcoming pro hockey back after a 10 year absence in Indianapolis. This was also my first time back into the Pepsi Coliseum since its brand spankin' new renovation. Our group had such a fantastic time! I am excited Hockey is here in Indy! My thoughts and observations: Atmosphere/Coliseum/Fuel Event: The building has a whole new modern look, very clean, and streamlined. The netting around the entire rink adds a nice layer of puck hazard prevention. No one wants to loose a tooth for peats sake! Thankful for the safety first approach. In regards to seating there isn't a bad seat in the whole arena however, if you want to experience the intro in its full historical, flaming, captivating glory, or if it is your first Fuel outing, try to get seats on the North or South wings. The special on-ice intro is a must! The $4.00 overpriced hot dog can wait, watch and cheer on the Fuel! Parking: Once you have actually made it into the fairgrounds parking is $5.00 a carload. Realistically this isn't a bad deal compared to what you would pay for other sporting events downtown or in other cities. Also, parking is placed within a short walking distance or a provided shuttle ride to the Coliseum. Easy breezy! Concessions: Meh...they have food. This is your basic standard event food with the event price tag - popcorn, nachos, hotdogs all $4.00, burgers and pulled pork sandwiches are $10.00. On the plus side Sun King beer is available $8.00. Definitely a great event to check out. Good for families, groups, date night, newbies to the sport (like me), you name it.

I work at different shows. This weekend is the boat/fishing/hunting show and it's great!!!! YOU HAVE GOT TO COME PUT AND SEE IT YOURSELF! Friday 12-8 opens Saturday and Sunday as well*call in for hours** They have hundreds of gorgeous boats from your large boats to small boats. They also have duck calls, deer heads, hunting houses! And many more! I've never been hunting been just from working this show, makes me want to try it!

Our seats on the floor for the dalai lama
    Danielle C.

In the last year or so, I have been to two events at the Coliseum although I am sure I was in it during the state fair. I was here for a roller derby event last season and most recently at the Dalai Lama. Everyone from the off duty officers to the ESG security to the Coliseum staff were so nice and pleasant. I had no trouble finding our seats based on the signs, although the signs were not super prominently placed. (It is more of a habit to look for the signs.) The restrooms were clean and well stocked, although one of the stalls I was in I was leaning against the wall because the toilet itself was so close to it. (I am a size 12, so not overly large.) I was slightly taken aback when we got a water and they removed the lid for us. (I didn't want to spill my water while walking to my seat although in hindsight, I understand the reason for taking the lids, at least in this day in age. While I have not been to the Coliseum for an event because it was at the Coliseum, I would go to an event because it was at the Coliseum. Its a great venue in an old historic building and I love that.

Loved the yard games and chalk, a worker (I assume) came out and gave my son a ball and balloon which made his day and kept him busy which was kind. Not so good: first time here and they were out of almost all of the food, and I think only one person working because it took a good 10+ min to see anyone to order my beer. Again first time here so I was confused; was I in the wrong spot, do I go up front to order? Do I need to use the QR code for beer? I ended up asking some people in the area and they said "oh you're in the right spot, I just haven't seen anyone in quite some time." Suggestion would be more signage as to where to order, and maybe even a "will return in X min" sign so you know someone is working somewhere and have a better idea of when they will return to set expectations. If the guy, who I assume worked there, didn't come out and give my son a ball, fill the dogs water bowl up, etc. then I would have been uninterested in returning, but I think I'm going to chalk it up to a holiday and it being hard to find service people. Since they have Guggman beers I may be back if I'm looking for a dog and kid friendly location.

The mansion was built between 1911 and 1914 and is now on the National Register of Historic Places. Allison died young from pneumonia at age 56. CoHatch, which has hosted at least a couple Yelp events that I can remember, currently has five locations in Central Indiana (a sixth, Circle Centre, I believe has closed). The locations include Polk Stables, Zionsville, Carmel, Noblesville, and this location in Broad Ripple. This location is housed in a former church (I know it used to be Common Grounds and I'm pretty certain it was at least one church before that). There's still some of the stained glass windows present. Managed by Jenna, whom I met during a Polk Stables Yelp event, this location seems to be quite busy. While I didn't get a chance to go around it as much as I'd have liked as I was here for an actual meeting, I was impressed with the decor, amenities, the people I met, and the efforts to make it accessible. Let's start there. Not every CoHatch location is truly accessible - they tend to locate in unique and often historic buildings. This can create challenges to true accessibility. This location has accessible parking in the back along with a ramp that goes up to one of the doorways. If you're not a member, you'll have to be let in. I wasn't completely thrilled with the end of the ramp - it's got a bit of a lip to it, however, the effort is obvious and it definitely works. The parking is also truly ADA compliant. I didn't notice all the businesses here, however, I did note that the Sagamore Institute maintains offices here. This location has the usual coworking spaces, a large event space, an outdoor area with a patio and kitchen, a sports simulator, and private offices. They have high-speed Wifi, coffee/tea options, meeting rooms (we used one to record an interview), 24/7 access, phone booths, office supplies, mailbox service, printing/copying, workshops for members, a kitchen, and an onsite manager. The neighborhood feels safe and is a pretty easy jaunt over to Broad Ripple's main strip. I like the decor, though found it a bit more plain than some of the locations. I think Polk Stables remains my favorite of the Central Indiana locations. This location is probably the closest to my home and it's definitely someplace I could see myself working. As someone who does a lot of social outreach/charity work, I definitely saw spaces I could bring to life here. I also did notice the restroom offered nice accessibility and there were some personal supplies in the restrooms - nice touch. I'd wanted to stop into this place and was pleased when I found out a meeting was going to be here. I finally got to check it out and was definitely impressed.
