It has always been my dream to be layed to rest here, which will never happen. Always so neat and tidy from the street, the grounds are beautifly maintained. When I sit at the light either approaching from Salisbury Park Drive or School Street, or up and down OCR or Merrick Ave, I always think how cool it must be to pass your loved one and be so close to them, verses having to drive out to Babylon or Queens or New Jersey. It must be comforting to really know where they are and what is going on around them and be able to swing by at a moments notice to visit them.

My husband of 37 yrs sadly passed away suddenly and unexpectedly from a cardiac aneurysm and for you to ask if I have the correct funeral home is quite insensitive & insulting. I dealt with Christine. She was very cold and 'matter of fact'. Everything I posted indeed happened. I certainly would have liked to have management there on that evening. As you can imagine, it was an extremely sad & stressful time for myself and our three sons. There was no one present to ask for help. Again, once the bill was settled, management disappeared. I did receive a cake from a bakery from your buisness the following week which was the only upside as I hadn't eaten for days. I still feel very badly as things could've gone a whole lot better. Again, no one even asked if I needed anything or helped the guests get situated. I literally stood up the whole time not knowing what to do. It took me a while to have the courage to even write this. It's difficult to continue to realize that things did not go well.

It might seem a bit morbid to review a funeral home but I needed to speak about my experience…read more I haven't dealt with them in about 3 years so it might be different now. When I had to plan my fathers wake and funeral it was obviously a very difficult time, especially for a 16 year old, the man we dealt with was very respectful and kind, which is a must in this business. He was very accomadating, and even gave reccomendations, and it wasn't the highest priced items either, he went on what we told him about my father and gave us ideas of things to fit with the type of man he was. The one thing I liked was that the casket selection was changed, they no longer bring you in to a room with caskets, its corners of caskets which makes it less morbid. The prices were not outrageous, and he made sure we covered everything. The phone in the office rang many many times but not once did he rush out of the room to get it, it felt like he really cared and understood our suffering. Well the day of the wake, things went a bit wrong, he was not there that day and a new man was who just started. Most of the things we selected were not there, or in the wrong room, we were put in a tiny room even though we paid for the larger room because of the amount of people coming. We weren't going to fuss much though but we did tell them our concerns and they immediately went to work fixing them. The next day the man we met with originally came to our home to apologize about any problems we had which was very sweet. Overall the experience was okay, I mean it wasnt going to be fabulous but this place truly cares about the people coming in their doors, and if you are looking for a place that is going to care about you and do everything to make you happy and to help make your loved ones final wishes come true then this is the place
