I already had a poor impression of this place, as I know they are one of the many businesses in CO that advertise a good wage, but pay much, much lower if actually hired. I decided to visit their holiday market anyway, and was mortified to learn they only serve booze. Fittingly, the creepy jazz score from THE SHINING was blaring through speakers & I half expected Jack Torrence to jump out swinging an axe. Sadly, I was expecting to buy a cup of coffee on this chilly morning & all they had was tepid water in cheap thermos dispensers. I guess all the parents bringing their kids to pet the mini donks & alpacas will go without or drive home impaired. The kids will definitely go without. Nothing says "Happy Holidays" like alcoholism & overpriced candles & stale cookies!! Save your fuel (or battery) & precious bodily energy & forego this rotten experience altogether. At least bring your own coffee, if you must saunter through. read more

purchased 5 hanging baskets a month ago and they are all dying. When I spoke to Schillings they said I probably had bugs but would not stand behind their product. So disappointed as I have been a long time customer. I won't be a customer any longer. read more

Ordinarily, I adore Schillings and have spent thousands with them the last couple of years as we completed two major landscaping projects. They're great right up until you need to return or in my case, exchange something. I had bought a small $17 box of fertilizer which was an acid mix for blueberries. We ended up deciding against planting blueberries so I asked to swap out the unopened, in perfect condition box for a different version of the fertilizer from the same brand that I could use to plant the $400 worth of plants on my cart. They said no, they would not allow an exchange. I found it really surprising to say the least. I purchased my cart full of plants, bought a new box of fertilizer appropriate for what I was planting, and left the acid mix behind. I asked the clerk to give it to someone for free, but my guess is that it will end up right back on the shelf to be sold again. Disappointing interaction and it may actually keep me from returning to Schillings. read more

Great selection and pricing and better quality than some of the "growers" on the Old Bend Redmond Hwy further North in Redmond!!

We spend over $600 this summer on landscaping plants at Schillings. We notified the store that one of the plants was not doing well within the first week. They asked us to wait a month to give it time to acclaimate. Two weeks later I was in to purchase more plants and showed them a picure of my non thrieving clematis ( 1 of 3 purchased) and they said they would get back to me, and never did. Thus began a string of phone calls and even showing up at the nursery just to have no addl. Follow up as promised. Two weeks later we let them know they lost a customer over this...they didnt even care about that or our experiene. We picked them because they were family owned and we previously worked with a nursery in Eugene that was family owned that provided excellent customer service. NOW I KNOW WHY Schillings was down thhe list of nurseries reccomened by my landscaper. read more

This place was awesome! We came here after a quick google search and the pictures online did NOT do it justice. Their campus is expansive and the selection is awesome. We didn't really know where to start and the staff spent quality time teaching us about different plants and helping us make a plan. One of the girls working saw we had a little one and said "did you know we have goats and chickens in the back?! You should go give them a visit!" Which was awesome. It allowed us to keep a toddler entertained while we shopped. They had everything we needed and it was such a great experience. A fantastic local option that also allowed us to skip Home Depot. This is a lovely garden market. We went before Halloween and enjoyed the patch and picking out our pumpkins. The retail area is super cute. It's small but has lots of plants and very kind, helpful staff. read more
