The house is older and needed wallpaper removal (that was decades old) and some minor patchwork and cabinet painting along with all the walls and ceilings. It was a big job but they did such quality work! The cabinet painting alone was done with such care- they removed all the doors and hardware and put it all back- none of this painting around the hinges nonsense- really top notch work! I was thoroughly impressed with the bid/estimate process, the communication, and the execution of the work. I feel lucky that Hector B. and Robert M. were my "crew" to remedy the mistakes of the prior painter and start the new outdoor project. From the meticulous attention to detail to the thorough prep work on day 1, it was clear that Hector and Robert were going to transform my space. I decided to post here, in addition to Nextdoor.com (which are the where the wording pics are from), because other people's OP were being deleted, subsequently deleting my comments; & when I hired them, I looked at Social Medias & Yelp & didn't see any complaints (which now others have chimed in since I did an OP). This is exactly what these platforms are for, to help one another find the best & avoid the worst; giving details allows anyone to make their own informed decision (I'll be the first to admit I'm guilty of just consuming vs. reviewing). I too was having trouble getting Greg to come back after paying him/Jackie. We scheduled three appts, & they never showed up to finish the corners they cut, even though it was spelled out in their contract. I questioned it before paying, & figured I could trust Greg's "everything passes" response, since he's the owner, gave a 10-year warranty, is licensed & bonded, & has a decades-long career. In full disclosure: would I have hired them again after their initial job? NOPE. I was kind about their lack of communication, in my original comment compliment on Nextdoor.com, because I don't take lightly to bashing small businesses in a small town. Sooooo at the same time of me asking them to come back, I asked for another quote, thinking they would respond in good faith to both (since it'd only cost them in the hundreds to finish what they didn't, as long as they were going to make thousands more on the new work; because I realize when most get paid, they don't come back; I was trying to make it a win-win). Wow, was I wrong! To be clear: I'm totally fine with them not wanting to quote additional work, as I appear to be of the rare bread of holding people accountable to their word (& they consider that "really hard to work with"). Who wants to hold another adult accountable? It's uncomfortable (& why we have contracts/laws). They also claim they "went beyond to make me happy" yet I can't find a single item they did that wasn't in their contract. You can expect to see the defensive response coming, likely similar to the one received on the other review last month. When I made the above points on Nextdoor.com, Jackie responded with "It's sad that you think like that as a Christian. Business can change. Jennifer, just like people can. Forgive and move on." WTH?! The Bible is clear about being a person of your word, & change is shown by repentance; of course we can forgive, this just doesn't mean we let people off the hook of consequences... I will say: what they did do is beautiful (again, it's incomplete; not only by my opinion, but of the City Inspector *who their employee told me to have come out* who issued a correction notice they ignored, & other Contractors all agreeing they didn't meet industry standards [see just the few sample pics for yourself, do these areas look caulked & repaired...?!]). We spent thousands last year to remove termite damage, dry rot & mold, & they left my home exposed to have it happen all over again (please take this as your reminder to go walk around your house & ensure it's sealed, & have it inspected by a termite company before more rain comes; the longer we wait, the more the damage, the higher the cost). I simply just wanted my house protected from the weather, as outlined in their contract. I don't understand the point of offering a 10-year warranty if they aren't going to uphold it.‍

She will be able to start in a couple of weeks and expects it to take one to two days, all of which is fine with me. I will post another review once the work has been completed, along with photos, but I just wanted to share that she was very personable and has a lot of skills other than just painting. She offered to fix a few small items around my house that she noticed when she was here, and would not accept any money for doing that. I'll update this review once this job is finished.
