Adam and Ashley Clark appeared to be very earnest and sincere. They appeared trustworthy so we decided to go with them. We paid 20% at signing on 5/6/23 and per the contract, a weekly draw of $3k and they promised, per the contract, to be done in 6-8 weeks with work starting on 5/15/23. We suspected by early June that we were being strung along..little to no work was being done. We live an hour away so it appears he took advantage of that. He became defensive when questioned about the lack of progress and came up with plenty of excuses. But, he sure was eager to get that draw, he'd find out what time we were bringing it and leave after we did. It has been an absolute nightmare. After weeks of requesting that he install the new kitchen cabinets, he installed them over damaged drywall and not even at the correct height. Since he told us he was "done with us" on August 4th, we have brought in a new contractor to de-install the cabinets, repair the damaged drywall and finish the work he never did. He took over $35k of our savings and did perhaps 20% of the work he was contracted to do. We are in our 70's, there is obviously a lack of values and integrity in ANYONE that would do this to senior citizens. We do NOT intend to let him get away with this. Based on our experience, if you hear the name Adam Clark or AC3 Construction....RUN!!
