I chose Firehouse Movers because of their glowing Google reviews, and their initial estimate was very competitive. Unfortunately, the final bill was a complete shock. To begin with, they insisted on a virtual estimate and refused to come out in person and assess the job. This was a 5000 sq ft home full of furniture, and I wanted the most accurate estimate possible. I asked multiple times for an in-person estimate, but my requests were declined. By moving day, I had sold two-bedroom sets and several other large pieces of furniture that were included in the original estimate. Even with significantly fewer items to move, the final price was more than double the original estimate. On the day of the move, I somehow went from needing two trucks, as stated in the estimate, to four. And from 9 to 17 total man hours. At the end of a long day, my husband just wanted them gone, so he reluctantly paid the bill before they could log anymore hours. When I called to discuss the bill, Firehouse claimed I had verbally approved the additional associated costs over the phone, citing a recording, which was completely false. I have asked multiple times for this recording, but I have not received it. That was not a small miscalculation. Our move was grossly underestimated. This whole experience felt misleading and dishonest. Stay away.

Beau, the owner, visited us and gave an estimate that was very competitive. Throughout the move process they had very good communication. Before the move, we packed up most of the things ourselves, but Phoenix offered to have some of their office staff pack up the fragile items like dishes and art work on an hourly rate. This really helped! On the day of the move, they were on time and they brought in 10 people to pack the van and get us on our way quickly. When they moved us, they did not consolidate and transfer our things to another van, our things stayed in the same van until it reached its final destination. When they unpacked, they were very professional and efficient. To summarize, we had a great experience moving with Phoenix Express and I would highly recommend them for anyone to move with!

All documentation was provided on time, and the movers arrived as scheduled. I had my items moved from Los Angeles, CA to Dallas, Texas in a POD. Unfortunately, my TV was damaged during the move (unclear if it was from the POD, but I doubt that since the TV was against the king size mattress). One of the movers later stated that he had noticed damage to the TV box when he unloaded the tv from POD but did not bring it to my attention at the time, which was very disappointing. However, the owner Joey, took the situation seriously and handled it with genuine empathy and accountability. I was extremely frustrated from the move (it's really a lot to handle) and Joey was kind and patient as he listed to me explain what happened. He suspended the team member involved, made it clear that he wanted to put the customer first, and worked with me to make things right. After I provided the original receipt for my TV, he sent me a check for its full original purchase price and did not waste time to go through insurance. I didn't buy additional insurance, so at most if Joey had went through insurance, I would have received $40/$50 back for my tv at $0.60/lb. He said he wanted to make sure we reached an agreement that felt fair. I truly appreciate Joey's customer first mindset. Although the damage was frustrating, I greatly appreciated how Joey responded. He's been in business for 25 years and stated that accidents happen and what he cares for the most is customer satisfaction. His integrity, compassion, and willingness to stand behind his company ultimately left me with a positive impression. I would highly recommend Eagle Movers and I will definitely be using their services again in the future!

PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS HORRIBLE COMPANY…read more Movers arrived to my 1 bedroom apartment (packed) and they unloaded at final destination at 6PM. 8.5 hours! They broke my 65 inch tv. it looked like they stepped on it. when plugged in, you could clearing see the heel imprint. They stripped the screws on my bed. So bad that they messed up their own bits from the tool box. They left my new apartment with my mattress on the door, frame leaned against my closet. One of the movers, explained to me that the OTHER worker used the wrong head (bit) to unscrew and then screw back in! Had to call my son in law to help. he had to buy all new screws to fix their error. i did a claim (just one) but only the one, because the company ONLY allows you to file one claim. My offer for a $700 TV, is a payment if $150. I moved 7 miles down the road...my cost was $1256. DO NOT USE THEM! I was screwed over and this move cost me so much more than it should have. I have asked to speak with an owner, VP or someone else....and Ace keeps giving me the run around. Reviews are the most important thing I will do on all things that I do moving forward.
