Chef Huber's food was so delicious, though the word that keeps coming to mind is "interesting." He uses lots of local ingredients, vegetables, and techniques I've not experienced. The carrot dish was so intriguing and I've been debating with myself as to whether or not it was the star of the show, which is not something I thought I'd ever say. It was dehydrated and then rehydrated in more carrot juice which made for excellent texture and taste, and it was accompanied by several creamy sauces to prop it up even further. The salmon trout and beef dishes also blew us away, both of which had some much going on that I just don't even really know how to write about them without messing it up - just go and you'll know I mean! We thought it couldn't get better, but then my wife's favorite dish came out, which was the desert. Particularly, she loved the sorbet in it, which looked humble but was by no means subtle, as it was packed with raspberry deliciousness way beyond what we expected. All in all, this was the dinner of the year for us, though it's making it difficult to remember a better meal throughout the years. Thank you so much to chef Huber and his team! The staff were also super friendly and welcoming, although service was a tad bit slow. The food is quite expensive but normal for Swiss standards, and honestly felt it was worth it given the large portion sizes. The spicy pork bratwurst was juicy and satisfying but a bit too salty for my liking. I also wish it was a bit spicier! It came with some caramelized onions on the side which were drenched in sauce and paired well with the sausage. The potatoes were buttery and delicious. I've had a lot of potatoes during the past two weeks in Europe and these were among the best. The veal schnitzel was also quite good. It was lightly breaded on the outside and succulent on the inside. We ordered the risotto on the side which was creamy and flavorful, but we had a hard time finishing due to the heaviness of the dish. Definitely worth a visit if you're seeking traditional Swiss food - you won't be disappointed!

The server just whips the cream and fluff up with mousse, serve two big dollops of chocolate mousse under the whipped cream on a plate. 4.5/5 Their best dishes are German and French which makes them truly Swiss. I left feeling satisfied. The restroom is downstairs. They have a wall of fame with pictures of celebrities and politicians that have dined at Old Swiss House such as Frank Sinatra, Pres.
