Dr. Holmes is a fantastic dentist! He makes me laugh so I won't be so nervous and he is really kind…read moreand careful not to hurt his patients. I was delighted that he offered a way to avoid getting a novocaine shot which hurts and then takes hours to wear off. He was very aware of my fear of dental procedures and went out of his way to make it a quick and painless visit. Recommend him 100%!! I've sent friends to him who have also been really happy with their care. He is also great because he doesn't try to charge you for things you don't need.

This dentist bought out the previous dentist, Dr. Poindexter who was an excellent dentist…read more My parents, age 88, and I had been customers of Dr. Poindexter for many years. My parents saw Dr. Holmes just prior to the COVID 19 outbreak. On their first visit, Dr. Holmes took measurements of their teeth and that was it. My folks were charged over $350.00 for both of them. They were not happy with his prices, understandably but did return for future teeth cleaning and check ups. They both said he was rough and not at all like the gentle hands of Dr. Poindexter. They were still unhappy with the charges but continued to seek treatment from Dr. Holmes until recently. My Dad was seen recently for a crown that was bothering him. Dr. Holmes broke part of my Dad's tooth when removing the crown. Then he told my Dad the only thing that could be done was to pull the tooth. He proceeded to tell my Dad that he could not pull the tooth and would be referring my Dad to another local dentist that could pull his tooth. My mother was also seen recently for a crown that was bothering her and she had a cavity that was under the crown. Dr. Holmes charged her over $900.00 to fix the cavity and to repair the crown. Dr. Holmes replaced another crown for her prior to this crown and again charged them over $900.00. The latest issue with my Dad's crown was the final straw for all of us. We feel Dr. Holmes is overpricing his customers and is not interested in doing what is in the best interest of his customers. Be prepared and beware!

Dr. Reyes is very proactive in her approach, for which I am grateful…read more When the dental hygienist said I had periodontal disease, I said, but the dentist I saw less than a month ago said nothing! Dr. Reyes explained that her approach is more of a 'nip it in the bud' method rather than wait until it's much worse. The office worked with me and came up with a plan not just for my gums but also for the several teeth that I knew needed work. I had no discomfort during my first deep gum cleaning and treatment. The office is equipped with the latest technology which, when it comes to dental work, is exactly what is best.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience involving Aspen Dental's offices in Kerrville,…read moreTexas. My treatment plan at the Kerrville office was financed through CareCredit, and I was told that it included two dental cleanings. Before relocating to Jacksonville, I informed the Kerrville office that I still had one cleaning remaining. I was assured that I could receive it at any Aspen Dental location near my new home. Based on that assurance, I canceled my Texas appointment and scheduled my final cleaning at the Durbin Park office in Florida. When I arrived at Durbin Park, the office refused to honor my remaining prepaid cleaning and told me that I would have to pay more than $290 to receive the service. I was also told that the Durbin Park office would not honor any agreement made by the Kerrville office. The office also attempted to collect a payment that was already being processed between my bank and CareCredit. Consumers should be aware that, in my experience, CareCredit's payment processing time is extremely delayed. When I contacted the Kerrville office, I was told that I could fly back to Texas to receive what the office then described as a "complimentary" cleaning. If the cleaning was truly complimentary, why was it included in the treatment plan financed through CareCredit, and why was my insurance company also billed? I am 83 years old. Suggesting that I fly from Florida to Texas for a routine cleaning that I had already paid for was unreasonable, insulting, and completely lacking in consideration for an elderly patient. I am asking Aspen Dental to refund me directly for the service that was charged but never provided. Customers should carefully review their Aspen Dental treatment plans, request itemized statements, and obtain any promises regarding the transfer of prepaid services to another office in writing. In my experience, being told that Aspen Dental has locations nationwide meant very little when one office refused to honor what another office had promised. I am allowing Aspen Dental to review my records and resolve this matter fairly. If the company refuses, I intend to pursue the appropriate consumer-protection and regulatory complaint options.
