Not sure what other issues people had in these reviews but I've dealt with car places for decades and this has been the best experience I've ever had. We paid under 7k sticker on an older van. We didn't make anyone's month or probably even week when we walked out the door with a car. The old van we got started to have some malfunctioning of a door from an electrical panel getting wet about a week after we took it home. They fixed it at no charge to us and it wasn't because we complained or threw a tantrum. They wanted us to be happy with the purchase even though it wasn't a big sale. We will absolutely go back there for service and look there any time we look to purchase because of our experience. Side note: the waiting room is stocked with kids play table and loads of things to keep the kids busy.

Not one person acknowledged me until a young gentleman in the very back finally spoke to me. He said he was newly transferred there. Overall, it was NOT a very welcoming experience in Marne. Later that day, I went to the car lot and asked whether paying cash would help with putting some money down or getting a better deal. I was told, "No, because we make less taking cash." I then asked if the price was negotiable and was told no, they wouldn't come down on the price. Later that evening, I used their online chat. A woman took my name, phone number, and my offer and said she would pass everything along to the manager to see what they could do. That was 8/21. Today is 8/23, and I still haven't received a phone call, text, or any response whatsoever. Communication and customer service go a long way when someone is seriously considering purchasing a vehicle. Unfortunately, my experience here was enough that I would personally avoid this place.

If they can't align headlights, imagine how bad serious mechanical issues could be treated... SCARY! Now for the 2nd time of bringing the vehicle in... Dykstras has no answers for aligning headlights... I am truly fearful for anyone who has mechanical issues worked on here in their vehicles if these people can't even figure out how to line up some headlights. As a mechanic I have sent many people to Walker towing but if this is how they work with me I cannot ever in good conscience send anyone their way again. 1. I was out of country so I could not head this off but here goes. My wife and 2 daughter in a roll over onto the trucks side hung from seatbelts for about 1/2 hour upside down. They get out the police man asked her who she wants to call for a tow truck company of course wife is more concerned about kids and herself so she says whoever you think will be the best so the officer calls Walker City Towing. Because he called instead of my wife calling I got an extra $350 police called fee. If she had called no fee. After I get back home I looked at bill and called the first guy who answered said that should not be on your bill that is if you have full coverage I have a 22 year old truck so no full coverage. He says call Jim the owner and he can adjust bill. Jim obviously was not interested in my call but said he would call back in 24 hours. That was two days ago still no call. 2. We said deliver the truck to our house which also has my auto shop on site. My house is literally 3 miles down the same road as the tow company. Yes same street. Driver says no go cant do it and brings it to his yard. My son who is trying to help his mother and sisters out meets the truck at the yard its there less than 15 minutes and they charge us for a storage fee of 75 dollars. Yup they just wanted the extra tow charge and storage fee instead of doing what we asked. 3. To add insult to injury the driver that flipped the truck right side up ripped the rear brake lines off from the rear axle of the truck. Now I have another 4 to 5 hundred of time and parts fixing this. 4. Jim the owner was obviously not in the mood to deal with me as he was trying to hang up as fast as he could in our call. From other tow companies my bill would have been $100 hook up $250 for the roll over and winching and about 5 dollars per mile which would be 8 miles or 40 bucks for a total of $390 dollars plus a fuel charge. And I would not have brake line repairs on my dime. All I am asking for is they make things right and I get crickets. If a car is damaged in any way while in my care I am expected to fix no questions asked.

One star is giving them too much credit…read more I am extremely disappointed with my experience at AJ's Automotive. My 2019 Ford F-150 was in their shop for 21 days. Throughout the process, communication was frustrating, and instead of feeling like a valued customer, I was made to feel like an inconvenience. At one point, the owner even suggested that my truck remaining at the shop was preventing them from servicing other customers, despite the fact that the vehicle was there because it had not yet been properly repaired. After paying approximately $4,000 for repairs that included replacement of the camshaft, VVT sprocket, timing components, and related work, I drove the truck home and immediately experienced a significant coolant leak. The following day, I had the vehicle inspected elsewhere and was informed that a hose clamp appeared to have never been installed, despite AJ's invoice indicating these components had been removed and reinstalled. This allowed coolant to escape and spray throughout the engine compartment, ultimately causing my truck to overheat. Since then, the situation has only become worse. I have now had the truck inspected by two separate independent repair facilities. Most recently, Keweenaw Auto informed me that while replacing the VVT solenoids, they discovered numerous additional concerns with the work previously performed. They found multiple stripped components, evidence of coolant leaking throughout the engine compartment, corrosion caused by the coolant leak, and other issues that should not have been present following a major repair. Their technician told me the truck should not have been driven in the condition it was in. I am now facing an additional repair bill of approximately $1,500 simply to correct these newly discovered issues before any further diagnosis can even continue. This is on top of the nearly $4,000 I already paid AJ's Automotive. What has been equally disappointing is the complete lack of accountability. During conversations about these issues, AJ acknowledged that their mechanic had been extremely busy and stated that "mistakes can be made." Despite that acknowledgment, they have continued to dispute the findings of multiple independent repair facilities. Since picking up my truck from AJ's Automotive, two separate mechanics have identified serious problems they believe originated from or were discovered because of the original repair. Rather than showing a willingness to investigate or make things right, AJ's has repeatedly insisted that everyone else is wrong and that their work was not the cause. As a customer, I trusted that my vehicle would be repaired correctly and that if something went wrong, the shop would stand behind its work. Instead, I have spent weeks without reliable transportation, incurred thousands of dollars in additional expenses, and endured the stress of watching my truck's condition deteriorate while trying to determine what happened. I did not want to leave this review. I simply wanted my truck repaired correctly. Instead, I have had to seek multiple independent opinions because new problems have continued to surface after AJ's repair. I sincerely hope AJ's Automotive chooses to take responsibility for its workmanship and works toward a fair resolution. This review reflects my personal experience and the information provided to me by the independent automotive professionals who inspected my vehicle after it left AJ's Automotive.
