Bachman's is huge and has a large collection of plants and.gardening supplies. In many ways its size is a liability as it is difficult to find what you are looking for and often the staff are not knowledgeable. Wagner's on the other hand is smaller. They don't have as much stock but in general their staff are reasonably well Informed. Sunnyside Gardens is a nice compromise in size. The quality of their merchandise is excellent and their staff are accessible and seem knowledgeable. They are easy to reach and there is lots of nearby parking. I highly recommend.

I have bought a lot of plants here and have got even more advice from the incredibly helpful staff. They answer all my incredibly dumb, repetitive questions. They help me find the specific type of whatever plant I am looking for. For example, we bought a bunch of hydrangeas and a staff member helped us think through which variant would be best in specific locations in our yard. They also have a home goods shop with some really nice decorative stuff, too.

Not sure what their deal is but they are illegally ignoring the do not call list (which technically you could sue them for) and they call non stop and I have no interest in every hiring them and going by all the recent 1-2 star reviews seems like the few people that do hire them are disapointed. So guess that's why they need to constantly call to try and get new customers since the people that hire them hate them so much. My suggestion is AVOID THIS COMPANY at all costs. Hire weed man at your own risk!

In any case, ~20 years ago my son and I terraced the slope & garden on the East side of my house and installed timber retaining walls. Despite the fact that I used treated lumber the once pristine barriers had begun to deteriorate. I also had started but never finished several other projects. The patio and backyard were getting shabby and overgrown. It was time for a change. Anyone who may have read some of my previous reviews knows about my somewhat recent physical challenges. I'm not exactly a Spring chicken either. A professional job was in order. In addition to choosing Inspired I selected bluestone rock to replace the rotting timbers. The resulting walls and edging look great and the old beams were hauled away. Finished work included river rock and mulch. Gustavo partners with his father and brother to schlep, prepare, install and clean up. Gus was personable and I found him easy to work with. Everything was completed on time and according to neighbors looks: "amazing." Bluestone is not inexpensive. At first I was hesitant to spend so much, especially since I had done much work myself. But I think that in the long run the landscaping/hardscaping will more than pay for itself in providing years of entertaining and peaceful contemplation. Not to mention that it will likely raise the value of my home. If I have any major landscaping additions, I won't hesitate to contact Gus and his crew. Together they are effective, efficient, courteous and meticulous.

I called them countless times during the last two months but they only said they are trying to have someone come out and do an inspection but they never came. Instead of making a notch and using ropes to pull the tree away from my property, they used a tractor to pull their tree up and out of the ground which was on the property line. The tractor tipped over and the tree landed in my yard. They promised reparations; three months after the fact I'm still waiting for completion of what was promised.

But the result was much more, the variety of flowers, shrubs and trees, (some bearing berries for birds) is the envy of the entire neighborhood. The plants have matured into a planned "painting" of contrasting foliage. My experience is that money spent outside of the house goes further than remodel money spent inside...maybe it is the "alive" thing that plants have. We were out of town the week the construction took place and came back to a completely new backyard! I have a huge yard to care for and these guys are out here every week mowing, trimming, and cleaning up. The professionals on the team keep my grass mowed, fed, and treated for weeds, keep my shrubbery trimmed, and my gutters clear. In the fall and spring they will do a full cleanup, getting rid of all the leaves and dead plants or raking up and reseeding after the snow melts. In the winter Derek is great about emailing snowplow updates and it's so reassuring to know I never have to worry about coming home from a trip only to find a foot of snow in my driveway. These guys work around the clock during big storms to ensure everyone has access even in a blizzard. I couldn't be happier with their service!

The company clearly states if you have a concern let them know. I sent a message indicating we still had snow and needed it removed. We have an elderly women that comes to our house daily & I was concerned for her safety. The owner proceeded to argue and imply I was lying and told me to review the terms & conditions. I'm very familiar with contracts since I manage the contracting process for a fortune 5 company. Needless to say, I removed the snow. We had a similar experience the next snow. The company did eventually show about a day after the snow fall & the sidewalks were not clear of snow. Again, I reached out and sent a picture indicating my concern for the safety of people using our sidewalk & walks. Again he implied I was lying. At this point, I concluded I would need to do the sidewalks myself moving forward. Understandably, sometimes due to timing snow can't be removed at the best time. At this point, I was told he would refund me. I was refunded but the next day they charged the full amount AGAIN without consent. I reached out with proof asking why this occurred. I was basically told it had been refunded and there wasn't an issue. When I checked in again they acknowledged I was charged again & would be refunded. The refund is not showing on my account and I'm hopeful it is processing. I switched to 'Quality Seasons' for the 1 inch snow trigger and should have stayed with the reliable service we have had for years. If you want to be called a liar, pay a ton of money & remove the snow yourself hire this company. I have never experienced this type of horrible service before.

Stone Arch Landscapes and Alex completed a project for me in 2022, and within a couple of months…read morethe retaining wall started leaning, and the pavers dropped along the wall. This wall is now out of plumb by 3-1/2" over a 4'-0" area, so out of plumb by almost 1 inch per foot. The pavers have large 1/2" plus gaps in this area, and there is concern that this wall is going to fail, and will fall. Alex has been notified numerous times each year about this issue, and he has refused to respond or answer my calls, texts or emails, he is ignoring the problem. When looking back, Alex failed to acquire a permit or to notify the city, which is required with any wall that is over 4'-0" in height, and he did not complete an engineering review which is also a requirement for walls of this height. Because of the lack of response from Alex and his refusal to warrant his work, I am forced to get quotes to repair and will need to pursue legal means to resolve the issue. Beware.

Just got back from patio town. Last week I was able to buy 1/3 of a yard of rock. Today I was told…read morethey could only sell in 1/2-yard increments. I quizzed the front desk about the new policy and the told me I could get 1/3 yard but would have to the price of a 1/2 yard. What a lame policy. I've spent plenty of money at patio town not anymore. I guess I will keep doing my business with Site One where they sell by weight. At least you get exactly what you pay for. Not open on Sundays but I guess I can wait a day and save some money.
