Leave it to Schnucks to price gouge during the pandemic. They carry the NOW brand of vitamins, which I buy several different vitamins of. I was shocked to see their Vitamin D cost over 16.00! That is twice what it normally is. Not cool. Also, as a fairly regular customer, if you see anything refrigerated marked down, don't buy it. It's already spoiled. Have had this happen a few times before. It's a nice store...lots of variety and the produce is great, but overall, there are MUCH better places to shop, that don't price gouge. read more

Sadly after many years at this store we are moving our weekly shopping to Woodmans, This store has rebranded their products and in many cases we have found empty shelves and on inquiry have discovered a number of things have been permanently discontinued with no apologies. We have felt their prices increasing over time. We have enjoyed the employees but can't continue to shop at a store that is restocking to less desirable products and raising prices or discontinuing those products we continue to want and need. read more

Who runs out of limes on Cinco de Mayo? The staff was nice even though they didn't have what I was looking for. The store was clean and well lit. Prices seemed kind of high, but I think that's a grocery store trend. I would shop here again. read more

Today I bought an Angel food cake from this store's bakery department. I asked if it was freshly made and the department employee told me it had just been removed from the oven. This cake was a major disappointment as it was the driest Angel food cake I ever attempted to eat. It was so dry that after pouring milk on it the milk just ran off the surface. Along with the dryness it was granular, breaking up I'm my mouth with the texture of a rocky sand. Disgusting to say the least. We called the store and spoke to the store manager to request a refund or some type of credit. We also suggested that they remove those cakes from their display as they were not fit for consumption and customers would be wasting their time and money. The manager refused not only to provide any credit or refund but showed little concern if the cakes were of good quality and only told me he would look at the cakes on display. I highly suggest not to purchase bakery goods from this specific store and would be leary of any Schnucks store bakery items. read more

Always great food. My dealership orders from them a lot. Excellent food and they never disappoint. Pizza is good as well. The pasta and salad are outstanding. Definitely some good grub after moving a whole lot full of snow. read more

I received a beautiful arrangement of fresh flowers delivered to my door today from the Rockford State St store, something I didn't even know they did. I wasn't home and got a call from the woman delivering them. I told her I was near the Cherryvale mall location and would be home in 10 minutes and to please leave them. I got a follow up call from her about 30 minutes later as there was a terrible accident at Perryville and Harrison and she just wanted to be sure I got home ok and wasn't in the accident rushing to get my flowers. Kudo's to this women and this store! I always shop here and find everyone helpful and friendly. Thank you for the follow up! read more

Their produce and meat is good quality however I would never do my big grocery shopping there as their prices are outrageous. The last time I did look at their ad I literally laughed out loud and through the ad & into the recycling. Much better deals are to be had at Woodman's, Aldi, and Valley thank goodness. Before they came to the area I hated grocery shopping. But now grocery shopping is a pleasure because I can make fun, delicious and interesting food that's actually affordable as well read more

Excellent customer service. Deli and bakery items are fantastic and they have the best soup/salad bar which makes for a great grab-and-go lunch style. My only gripe is the prices, which are waayy to high to have an enjoyable shopping experience. By the time your cart is half full, you have spent $100 and now the organic locally produced honey you felt so good about isn't looking so great anymore. This is the place to come and buy a few things that are only on sale. read more

I went in for cheap butter quarters. I will never ever buy anything there unless it is an amazing advertised deal, EVER! Why? Because of "sale prices" like what I saw. Heavy whipping cream quart Prairie farm brand over $6 . Um WHAT???? I stood there for a while trying to decide if I was reading it wring. Nope. The smaller size almost $4.50. Again, what???? It is things lIike this that keep me out of your store except for crazy good advertised sales. That same product else where is $2.50 ish. Aldi sells a smaller size for under $1.80. Schnucks you are absolutely out of your mind charging these prices. Please consumers, do your homework. If it isn't on sale, and a GOOD sale DONT buy it at schnucks. Good location. Great cafe inside. Good clean store with a nice layout of the aisles. Not the cheapest but not unheard of to come away with a deal. Also has freshest fruit and veggies I've come across in the area. read more

I remember when this location used to be called Loglis growing up. It was a prime location for getting groceries. It's pretty clean for the most part. The best part about this place was the cafeteria. They made delicious pizzas and other Italian dishes. They even had a salad bar with everything you possibly think of for a grocery store and it was cheap too. Overall, great grocery store despite being bought out and changing the name. read more

What's up with this grocery store never having enough baggers? More times than not, the cashier is also tasked with bagging the groceries causing the checkout time to become way too long. I usually end up bagging my own groceries to save some time, but frankly, for the overpriced items in this store, I shouldn't have to. It's not like it's Aldi, after all. Hire people and pay them to bag groceries-not doing so is a cheapskate move! read more

I have always enjoyed Schnucks just not this location. Every time I go through check out there's a group of employees, I believe managers standing there gossiping. The person checking me out is having to bag and put my stuff in the cart as their line grows. People are waiting. Do the managers think they are beyond bagging or helping? Never fails. Stopped in to pick a couple items. Saw signs buy one get one free, wow great deal. One of these sign was between the beef bologna and salami, the chicken and pork bologna was on the other side of the salami. The sign did not state a certain variety so I picked up the beef bologna. After my purchases were rung up I noticed the bologna was rung up full price. I brought this to the checkers attention, her response was "I doesn't include the red bolagna". I told her the sign didn't specify a certain variety. She responded did you still want the bologna. After paying for my purchases, I parked my cart by the self service check out, walked to the back of the store to reread the sale sign thinking I made a mistake. I didn't. Then proceeded to customer service, explained my problem, the employee pulls out the sale flier and says "see it's says right here that the beef bologna isn't included, did you want to return it". My response was " I don't have a sales flier and that's not what your sign says, I won't be back". And I left. The most lousy customer service and deceptive in store advertising ever! To bad there were many items I bought exclusively at Schnucks, now I have to go else where. If I could have rated them a minus 10 I would have. read more
