I was looking for really specific items today, so instead of ordering delivery through another store, I decided to visit Schnuck's today. It was nice to browse through their produce section and grab the items I needed. Then I went to the baking section looking for some almond flour, baking soda, cornstarch and other baking products. I also needed to get some sea salt and kosher salt which I found easily. I was really glad they had lots of the milk options I needed and they even had the kodiak waffles I was looking for! I found some of the other items I needed and made my way to the front of the store to check out. I decided not to use the self checkout since I had a few too may items, so I waited in line to check out at a register which took a while since there were a lot of other people there today. When it was my turn, I unloaded things onto the belt and then made my way to the bagging station since there was not anyone there to bag my items so I bagged things myself. Let me tell you about a little known secret. Schnucks salad bar is awesome! And, a great healthy alternative to fast food. With 115 locations in 4 states, there is always a Schnucks nearby when you are out and about. I find the salad bar is always stocked with fresh favorites. Plenty of protein choices to make a nutritionally rich meal. And, they have also have a few pasta favorites. I love the noodles with the little peas (shown in my pic). Lots of good salad dressings. My salad weighed in at exactly 1 pound. At $8.99/lb that is pretty competitive to your fast food choices as well. Staff is always helpful and friendly. Stores are always brightly lit, clean and inviting. Kudos to Schnucks for making their salad bar so accessible, nutritious and yummy! read more

I usually order pickup from this location. Each time I arrive, the people who bring my items are so friendly! If you have young kids, ordering for grocery pick up is such a lifesaver! It's also incredible that Schnucks has rewards, helping a little bit financially when you need it. read more

With better everyday prices than the nearest competitor, Dierbergs, this branch of the Schnucks chain is a clean, spacious grocery carrying virtually all of the products my family needs. The produce is fresh and their selection is good. The butcher/seafood counter is well-stocked and nicely compliments the huge refrigerated meat and poultry cases. The front deli counter carries a wonderful selection of Boars Head products, including the often hard-to-find low sodium varieties of roast beef, turkey, and chicken. Their in-store bakery produces marvelous bagels and other breads, as well as many tempting treats (donuts, cakes etc.). The staff in these three departments are friendly and very helpful, too! Everything else is what you'd expect in a modern suburban grocery store - wide aisles, well stocked with national, local and Schnucks-labeled products. And of course they have a in-house drug store (CVS) with a drive-up window. No Starbucks or bank (yet). But there's also a separate pet food section in an alcove near the register entrance, with great prices on dog treats. (Makes our pups happy!) The checkers are very friendly and the baggers speed the purchase along. I also use Schnucks online coupons and savings program - I get discounts on items that I actually buy, and usually save an additional $2 on every visit! read more

This store used to be a Shop N' Save. Used to have nice wide aisles and space to move around. Schnucks took over during this spring and it went to crap fast. As soon as Schnucks took over the store sat for nearly two weeks with bare shelves. They had all the time in the world to rearrange things while the store was down but that made no sense. When they finally put their Schnucks sign on the front they filled the shelves finally and moved nothing at all. Only change was Shop N Save generics were replaced with Schnucks generics. Fast forward to fall and with no notice at all they decided to come in and rip apart the entire store again and I mean THE ENTIRE STORE. Cases are empty. Empty shelves are all over. Many items aren't even available and items are randomly placed all over the store. Soda is now in the dairy area, cereal is in with pet food, alcohol seems to be the only wide aisle and some of the aisles are so small you can't turn a cart around in it and have to walk backwards to get out of it. Not enough cashiers working (as usual). I finally gave up and took my cart full of food to customer service and told them to return it as I gave up and don't see shopping there again any time soon. From the looks of it this store will be as horrible as their Dillon Plaza store which has such small aisles it's insane. Dierbergs thanks you for their new customer. Store is nicer, checking out is faster and I CAN FIT A CART DOWN THE AISLE WITHOUT SLAMMING INTO SOMEONE ELSE. Their new layout sucks and it's not even done yet. read more

I love the new single line for checkout as before I always seemed to pick the line that never moved. I would love to see the Missouri area Schnucks participate in more online apps like Savingstar, since the northern Illinois stores do. I believe it would give customers a greater incentive to shop there, because our money would go farther. Service is great here. I also wish they could get a self ordering kiosk for the deli soon. I prefer the convenience of that because it not only allows me to shop while its being prepared, it also reduces communication errors between staff and customers. This Schnucks was completely remodeled and has a great selection to select from. The associates are all friendly and knowledgeable. We visit at least once or twice a week, and since the parking lot is large, it's easy to find a place to park. Today, I waited less than 2 minutes to be checked out, always greeted and asked if I found everything I came for. My only suggestion is to offer more for vegetarians/vegans. While there are several items, I miss my plant based lunch meats and cheeses. read more

This stores produce is really bad. It has never lasted more than 2 days maximum. They use bait and switch tactics with ads and shupons. Be very careful I've been over charged many times. read more

Only 1 star because they had what I needed. When we went to check out they had 2 check out lanes with 4 people in line at each. The lane we were in was extremely slow. The cashier was talking to the customers and not checking out as he was doing so. One lady said she would use all her rewards. He questioned her like she was wrong and shouldn't do that. Hello they are her rewards and she can use them as she wants. By the time it was our turn there were 4 people behind us and 4 in the other lane. If this was another grocery store they would open another lane at least until the lines were caught up. As we waited in line we saw numerous employees walk by but none were called to help out. I have given this store many tries. It used to be a Shop n Save and when they made the switch to Schnucks you could tell the Shop n Save employees were extremely mad at the switch. I'm to the point that I would rather go to the other well know grocery store for the better service and care of customers. I have heard they want to make this like the Des Peres store. If they do they need to make a big overhaul on customer service. read more
