    a long roll of sushi

Wonderful store! I always come here for fruits and veggies but because it is expensive I buy canned and other non produce items elsewhere. I recommend paying attention to the weekly prices they mail out to take advantage on sales, I've got a lot of great meat, seafood, and produce for a steal by looking for deals. My favorite is going on Thursdays for half off their sushi! The staff make it on sight so it's fresh right up at the counter and the rolls taste great! If they don't have a roll you want out you can place an order do your shopping then go back to grab it before checking out!

I LOVE this farmers market style grocery store. They have so many great deals and fresh foods- the variety of fruits and veggies are always seasonal and fresh. Make sure you check out their cold pressed juices- they are so flavorful and amazing! If you are working toward a low waste lifestyle the bulk section includes everything from cooking oil- honey, vinegar as well as spices, grains, nuts and dried fruits! The gluten free items are well labeled and the layout of the store is easy to follow. If you are looking for a new twist on a health store- this is a great place!

The vegetables were very fresh and last longer than stuff bought at Schnucks. Prices were a little lower as well.

I wasn't expecting much because my usual go to would any local honey, a coffee stand, pet treats, and produce. And I got what I was looking for and then some! The parking situation here is not bad since it's in the center of shopping plaza. We got here pretty early at around 8:00am and it was already set up and lots of people roaming around. It didn't pick up until closer to 9am, and we were already leaving by then. We stopped by the following: *Bean Sprouts Coffee*: I ordered a coconut kiss iced latte - so very good if you like coconut and vanilla! *Elli + Cubb Lemonade*: they have something called an orange crush which is SO YUMMY! Their drinks come in deli containers so it is a lot. My husband got a regular lemonade and he liked it *Tripleton Boricua*: We got the triple meat sandwich and a cubano - the bread was great, and the meats were juicy. This should have been the first bite of the market, but I'm glad it was the last. *Kandela's Food*: My husband and in-laws got empanadas from here while I waited for coffee, I wasn't hungry yet but I did take a bite - very good! *Smirking Dog Farm*: I noticed they had butter radishes here and beautiful, colorful carrots. I bought one bunch each and my total was only $9.00. I really enjoyed this market, and I hope to come back again!

This is not one of those big commercial farms that are overcrowded with people. Instead, there is plenty of room to roam, and it's great. Our visit last weekend was no different. I have taken my kids here for about 14 years now. We always have fun, whether we are picking apples, pumpkins, or playing. My only complaint is that there usually seems to be a limited staff, and we never walk away thinking, "wow, they were so friendly!" It has never felt like a friendly place. That's surprising to me for a multi-generational family farm. Last weekend was the same, unfortunately. The young lady that weighs the pumpkins was exceptionally grumpy and rude. My kids even talked about her poor attitude. Prices always seem to be relatively high here, although there is no price for admission, which is very nice. However, as we left last weekend, a somewhat oversized woman was walking around the barn entrance, just out of sight from the staff. The kids and I wondered why she was looking at people this way. Then we saw why - She was stuffing mini-pumpkins in her coat and pants! Seriously... stealing mini-pumpkins! In all, we had a great time and continued making fun memories. We will no doubt be back, despite the crankiness.

This isn't an overly-commercial apple-picking farm that's crowded with swarms of people like some farms. Centennial is a grassroots family farm with heart and soul. I really enjoy walking out back to the orchard (though they do have a hayride for those with small children), and going through all the rows of apples. There are multiple varieties of apples clearly labeled with wooden signs in front of each row. One of my favorite varieties of apple they have are Empire apples (and it's not only because I'm a huge Star Wars geek). They are a sweet and sour apple that are great to eat by themselves or wonderful for baking with. When you're done picking, just weigh your own apples on the scale and head up to the register in the barn to pay. Pick-your-own apples are $1.75/pound. If you want a peaceful apple-picking experience out in beautiful Augusta, Mo., then please give Centennial Farms a try!
