The same person who was driving unsafe earlier was now operating a phone while driving. I had reached my destination and called from a parked car.

Having been around gifted children, I've seen how difficult traditional schools can be for them and that sometimes they are not being challenged, but here they cater to exactly what the child needs. The school has a very open floor plan that allows the teachers to have a bit more freedom to teach each child how they need and want to learn. The school itself is very clean and tidy, with plenty of books, some instruments, and technology for the students. A new head of school seems excited and eager to bring her years of experience and knowledge to the school and community. Excited to see what this new school year brings for the school!

As an adult theater - the shows range from safe to edgy, which is great to see as it appeals to a broad audience. I'd like to see more edge but all theaters have to keep the lights on, you know? They attract talented actors and directors. The black box is minimal in all senses of the word, but it never hurts the quality. I'd rather see a bare bones set if the show is done well than big budget designs with terrible direction or acting. As a children's theater - all efforts are made to teach their young performers more than just how to stand and look cute. The shows are fun and less "cheesy" than your average kids' productions. You can tell how much work goes into these shows, both on and off stage. Parking is free, there are plenty of refreshments that aren't priced to break the bank, and the staff is warm and welcoming. Sure, there is room for improvement. But for a theater company just now in the end of their second season, they are running like a well oiled machine. While my oldest daughter worked with Kaitlyn for voice lessons for a few years and had a great experience with her, the business is so poorly run, and they will just take your money and run. About a year ago, we were informed that we owed over $2000 in back pay due to their lack of proper accounting. It took me hours to go over records and verify that what they were claiming was correct. And in the end, I still wasn't sure if there was some inflation of charges since it was over a year's worth of billing that I had no invoices to keep track of. After this blunder on their part, they changed their accounting and billing policy and actually started sending invoices monthly. But the invoices reflected payments for 2 months in advance. So essentially if you decide to quit, they have 2 months worth of your money. My daughter's voice teacher, Kaitlyn, decided to leave AMI, and we were only given 1 week's notice prior to her leaving. In fact Kaitlyn said she was instructed NOT to say anything up until one week before. And my daughter is about to go to college, so switching now to a new teacher made no sense. So now we are left with over $800 in credits that we will never use. I asked several times for them to reconsider and reimburse our money. In the medical field where I work, it is customary to give patients 90 days notice if you are leaving so they can find a new provider. And we have worked with other music related businesses and none of them were crooks like AMI. Look elsewhere.

We have done their JSCs for both of my kids this summer and have now signed up for weekly lessons. My daughter literally screamed and cried at the last place we were at and here she has had 0 tears! The water is warm so my kids are not shivering during lessons. The instructors are great and keep the kids on task and focused on the skills there are working on. I have noticed that sometimes they have a second (floater) teacher that goes to each lane and helps out as a second teacher for a few minutes and then move on to another class. At the end of each class teachers give you a little summary of how your child did. Sometimes the kids even earn ribbons for accomplishing different goals, which my kids absolutely love. I think it's a great motivator for them as well. The facility has some great added touches with amenities like an area with blow dryers, showers with soap in the pool area. It's well kept and clean. My kids are growing and becoming more confident and comfortable in the water. I could not be happier here!

Eleanor went above and beyond to make sure Saylor was comfortable, and by the end of the first makeup class, Saylor was thriving! At our next makeup class, Eleanor had Saylor's favorite toys waiting for her, and Saylor loved that, and had no tears, and was ready to swim! I just wanted to say, we have loved everyone we have worked with at Goldfish St Charles, and we definitely appreciate Eleanor going above and beyond!
