Schoolhouse 226 has been one of the greatest blessings to our family. As parents searching for a first school for our 3 year old son, we had most of the same concerns as many parents. How will our child adjust? Will he be happy? Is it possible for him to receive the love, care, and attention that we give at home? While we embarked upon this journey with these concerns, I can confidently answer every single one with "YES" at Schoolhouse 226! From our very first Discovery Day at the school to present day, every staff member at Schoolhouse 226 has made the environment feel like entering a home full of family and friends. Not only does each classroom teacher display such great love and compassion for all students, the school Directors are amazing and always actively engaged and involved in the development of each child. Our son comes home every day singing new songs (and it's especially the SWEETEST to hear the Christian songs he has learned) and talking about how much he loves his school, teachers, and friends. God truly blessed us with Schoolhouse 226 and we are so thankful for the continued daily blessing the school pours into our son, which is a blessing to our entire family. read more

We have been more than pleased with this school since we put our 2 kids in here this past year. We have a 4 year old and a 5 year old that are thriving with the teaching and guidance here. Schoolhouse is led by the Bible with strong leadership from the ladies up front. Paije and Ann and everyone from the front end always greet us by name and love our kids even though they don't directly teach them. The leadership from the school is first class, and it trickles down to every employee that we get to encounter. It seems like our kids are known by all the teachers including those outside of their primary classrooms. The biblical teaching is truly important to everyone on staff. Our kids learn Christian songs that I sang in preschool, and they are even memorizing long Bible verses along the way! In addition, both kids are picking up some Spanish, history, and geography so schooling is top-notch as well. My wife and I both have demanding schedules with our careers, and there are not many options for Christian schools with extended hours. We love the teachers and the staff, and I highly recommend this program for anyone looking to trust their kids with a Godly school. read more

This morning I came by for a tour after my husband had spoken with Tracy last Friday. There was some construction going on which was not an issue. However, I rang the door bell 3 times and knocked. 2 women including Tracy walked past the door and a woman at the front desk saw me but ignored me. When I was finally allowed inside after about 5 minutes of waiting awkwardly I asked why I wasn't acknowledged and Tracy said because the woman at the the front desk was in training and couldn't give anyone access. Okay fine. You can't open the door but you can acknowledge me and tell someone I was there. So that's the first reason I will not enroll Holdyn or recommend your facility. Secondly, Tracy needs to work on her personable skills. She appeared rude and condescending. I was just uncomfortable the entire tour. Perhaps she is a wonderful woman but she did not come off that way. Lastly, the outdoor facilities are terrible. For a school that opened less than four months ago everything is old and beat up. I know kids are tough on toys but those look unsafe and dirty. A three year old was swinging around a broken hula hoop. That does not represent safety to me. read more

Our family is so blessed that we found Schoolhouse 226. My kids love going to school, and they learn so much. Not only does Schoolhouse 226 partner with Frisco ISD to prepare our children for school, but they also teach about God and Christianity. I am blown away by my children leading us in prayer! The staff at Schoolhouse 226 teach the whole child, including cognitive, behavioral, emotional, physical, and social lessons. Each and every staff member knows our children's names, and our names as parents. Not only that, but they pray for us regularly. They truly make us feel like we are part of their family. I can see the love this staff has for every single family they serve, and it is incredible and inspiring. I am kept up to date with everything my children do in class, how much they ate, if they napped or not, and I am sent home wonderful papers and art projects that they do each day. It really helps me feel involved and my children are proud of the work they bring home and enjoy talking to us about it. We originally starting going here because we were unsatisfied with my 4 year olds previous preschool and her preschool bestie decided to change schools. We're so happy we made the change! Not only did my daughter get to continue to cultivate her friendship with that girl but she met so many other nice kids and was given more one on one attention. The class size is better suited for their development, the teachers are all happy to be there and they actually learn! They make it a fun and challenging environment, care about their progress and stay involved with their learning. We love that it is rooted in faith and they find so many kind and positive people to work there. When we had our second we knew exactly where we wanted to take our youngest for daycare. They were super accommodating and every day we drop our 5 month old off she smiles from ear to ear upon seeing her teachers. Highly recommend this school. I have two little ones that attend this school, and I couldn't be more pleased with it. We don't have family in town to help with our kids so finding a childcare center we can trust is integral to us being able to maintain balance in our family life. Finding a place with a fantastic curriculum, great hours, good location, and that teaches Bible to our kids every day is a God send! They have quickly addressed any questions we have had, and are easy to get in touch with. Most importantly they love our kids so well, and are extended family to us! We trust them completely, and our children are thriving here. My oldest comes home singing songs and telling me all the things she learns at school. We recommend them highly to anyone who need childcare in the area! You won't be disappointed! They also offer a multi-child and first responder discount which is hard to find! read more

Wow - This will be our 3rd daycare with 2 boys. We moved to Frisco over a year ago and we of course were looking for a great daycare. We interview numerous daycare's but non of them came close to Schoolhouse 226. My wife and i interviewed the daycare's separately and we both came back saying Schoolhouse 226 was hands down the best. Both of our boys, 4 and 2 have been attending Schoolhouse 226 for close to a year and they love it. The 4 year old has made many friends and enjoys the daily activities. I dont like to mention names in reviews but I cant talk enough about the teachers and the staff with how they care for our boys as well as everyone else's children. We have become friends with some of the parents as well. Most importantly my wife and I feel absolutely safe leaving our 2 precious boys with them. Absolutely love this daycare!!!!! read more

Our family moved to the DFW area in the summer and searched high and low for a preschool for my (then) 18mo daughter. Schoolhouse 226 is a Christian preschool that came highly recommended by soooo many moms in the area! That alone was enough to make me schedule a visit. My focus was to find her a school that would nurture her emotional, intellectual and spiritual development and we've found exactly that. The teachers + administrators are all SO kind, attentive, and she's blossomed so much in terms of speech, sign language and being able to express herself. I love receiving her daily sheets to see all of things she learned at school that day. This school is as good as it gets. From the warm front desk team and director to the teachers, we loved Schoolhouse 226. We moved from Frisco to Rowlett and we found another school we love, but Schoolhouse 226 will always have a special place in our hearts. Our daughter was lovingly cared for from 9 months to 18 months when we moved. When she was 18 months she knew all of her primary and secondary colors, the alphabet, animal sounds & identification, shapes, numbers 1-10 (counting and identification) and spoke in multiple word sentences. I know the preschool is only a part of the equation when it comes to a child's education, but Schoolhouse 226 made a huge positive impact in my child's early learning. read more

We've had our child at Schoolhouse 226 in Frisco for a little more than 2 years now and we could not be happier with her education and care at this preschool. It is comforting to know that each day my child is getting a quality preschool experience that is faith-based. My child loves coming home to tell me about a Bible story or sing me a song about Jesus. Our daughter started at Schoolhouse 226 when she turned 10 weeks old and we both mom and I had to return to work. I cannot express what a blessing it has been to have found them. The staff and caregivers are all extremely nice and they all go above and beyond to make she that the school and daycare are offer more than just a place to drop your kid off. Our daughter loves being dropped off! She is always all smiles when we drop her off, and is in a great (and tired) mood when we pick her up. I was so nervous when I had to go back to full time work and needed to put my school age children into an after school program. I was so grateful when I found out that Schoolhouse not only had openings for my kids mid-year, but they also were very reasonably priced in comparison to the other available programs. My kids have been welcomed with open arms into a Christ-centered and loving environment. They love their friends and their teacher and I have such peace knowing they are being so well taken care of each afternoon. LOVE Schoolhouse 226!! We started our twins when they were 18mths and I wish we would have started sooner! Office staff is always friendly and willing to answer my (many) questions! Teachers are always so kind and seem to really care about our kiddos and explaining how their day went! The daily sheets home give us a sneak peak into their day and really help to encourage my working-momma heart! We are excited to see what the next two years holds before our girls go to Kinder but also sad that we only have two years left. We have been attending Schoolhouse 226 for about a year. It has been a loving, nurturing environment for our son. The teachers truly care about our son as individual. The academic curriculum is excellent. Everyone is professional and kind. Everyone (from the director to the front desk staff to the teachers) know our names and our son's name. Communication through email and and from teachers is prompt and pertinent. Our son is thriving and enjoys going to school every day. He is growing emotionally, academically, and spiritually. We have been here for over a year now and I couldn't imagine my little one going anywhere else! They are genuinely nice and really care about the kids and families. He stayed home with me for almost 3 years before I picked a school for him. To say I am picky would be an understatement. It takes a lot for me to trust folks with my babies. Our family has been at Schoolhouse 226 for 4 years. We have always adored the staff, especially the teachers that each of my boys have had. They always make a point to tell us about each of our boys' days when we pick them up even though they already have a daily sheet. I am a Frisco ISD educator and I have been impressed with the curriculum that the school utilizes. There is no doubt in my mind that my boys will be prepared for Kindergarten when that time comes. We have sent our 3 daughters to schoolhouse 226. One graduated after going there from about 8mos all the way up to Kindergarten. Our other daughter is slated to graduate this summer and has been with them since around 4 mos. Our youngest has been in their care since about 3mos old. We wouldn't continue to send our children to Schoolhouse 226 if we didn't think they were going to get the best experience possible.
