We absolutely love everything here! Our son has been attending since he was 4 months and is almost a year old now. He is so excited to be dropped off and immediately starts playing with friends and reaches out for his teachers. There is a sense of security and safety here given the location and access codes required to gain entry. Our son has also learned to flourish and express his personality. The arts and crafts the teachers complete with him are precious and the constant updates via the app daily on what he is doing, eating, napping is essential. I have ZERO COMPLAINTS and am so grateful for the love our child receives here. read more

I have to update this review: after our unfortunate experience at this school I have to give a huge shout out to the owner Parkash Arora. He called me and my husband to not only apologize for everything but also to acknowledge this was an eye opening for him and his school. He assured us he will be more involved in the school, meet the parents, make sure they hire effective teachers to take care of the kiddos and be more present to ensure his staff gives their 100% to the kiddos. As an educator myself I admire when one admits their error but also does something to improve and correct the problem/issue. This is the meaning of growth! I had a horrible experience here. My child has a severe egg allergy for which we provided the school with her allergy plan from her pediatrician as well as medicine should she be exposed to said allergy. Not only did her teacher give her scrambled eggs for lunch, when she began throwing up, her teacher did not inform the school directors, medicine wasn't given nor were my husband and I called. I found out hours later when I showed up to pick my child up. That was the last day I took my child there, up till today a few weeks later, I have not heard from anyone at the school. Oh, her teachers explanation for the mix up? She forgot... she expected my child to remind her. read more

We could not be happier with our choice of this daycare for our son. He is 6 months and I feel that his teachers Sunita, Alesia and Vera genuinely care for him. They work and play with him all day and provide update and pictures regularly. He lights up when he sees his teachers every morning which is the best feeling as a mom leaving her baby for the day. My daughter has been enrolled here since 3 months (they take them as early as 6 weeks) and is now 3 years old. The staff takes care of her and treats her with love as if she were their own. I have a strong relationship with the office staff and feel comfortable talking with them about any concerns or issues. They are open with their communication and make it easy for me to access information about my daughter's development and care. Her teachers continue to be vested in her education and development and previous teachers check in with her when they see me. As a young three year old, she can spell her first and last name, identify her colors, shapes and numbers as well as count in both English and Spanish. I recently had a parent teacher conference, which I was apprehensive about given my child is only three and not in "real school" but I left being surprisingly impressed with all that she is learning and how they are measuring and charting her development and learning. They have outside time every day (usually twice), serve/provide food (lunch, snacks) daily (breakfast is available for those arriving prior to 7:15 am as they are open 6:30 - 6:30 daily). There are classroom cameras with live stream available to parents (via private password protected site for each camera). I used these much more when she was younger but it's nice to be able to monitor at any time I feel the need/want. They also have cameras for playgrounds and the splash pad which they use in the summer. Parent reports are submitted daily through an easy app called Tadpoles. You can access via phone app and/or email for daily reports, photos and videos, teacher notes and school updates. It's a great communication tool and makes it easy as a parent to stay connected. read more

THE STAFF ARE ONLY BAD AS THE DIRECTOR.. I WOULD GIVE 0 STARS IF I COULD.. UNETHICAL AND ILLEGAL BUSINESS PRACTICES I took my girls to this daycare 10/09/2015 and when I arrived to pick them up I had made the decision that my oldest wouldn't be back from what i felt. The teachers in room 8 did not look of the most pleasant. The youngest one looked as though she was there just because she needed a job.. My youngest I adore and loved her teacher(s) They worked with her for the most part on her walking and independence. THE OFFICE STAFF IS HORRIBLE AND ARE THIEVES. Due to it was my first day to start at work and my fiance' was out of town I had decided to give Children's Lighthouse a chance knowing that if I had have explained to him my concerns he would have told me to take our kids and turn around to head home. The African American in the office had a attitude that you can feel walking through the door and a rude demeanor that you can not shake off. I assumed maybe she just was having a bad friday as some do. Well Monday, I decided to take my kids elsewhere due to my concerns. Wednesday the school called and left a voicemail and of course I could not answer but it was Stephanie who is really sweet and genuinely care but as they say ONE BAD APPLE SPOIL THE BUNCH. I had my fiance' to go to the school to get the rest of the kids belongings but only to see that her things had been used or who knows but it wasn't in her cubby. The African American lady proceeded to ask my fiance' what happened(probing) and he told her that I had decided to go to another school which I did have a right to do because I did not sign anything and from what i was told they do not do prorated THEY WOULD DO THE DROP IN FEE($70 OLDEST, $60 YOUNGEST). Her attitude then change from bad to worse consistently bringing up collections loudly almost to try and embarrass my fiance' in front of the other parents there. She claim that I had signed a agreement( i still have both by the way UNSIGNED) she and I have a copy(WHICH IS A BLUNT LIE). My fiance' asked her three times to make sure that she knew what he was asking. She DID NOT PROVIDE HIM WHAT HE ASKED FOR, SHE GAVE HIM A DETAILED RECEIPT OF CHARGES THAT SHE GAVE ME FOR FRIDAY WITH A $200 FEE THAT SHE JUST CHARGED TO OUR CARD WHILE GETTING THIS SUPPOSED SIGNED AGREEMENT KNOWING THAT SHE DID NOT HAVE IT FIRST OFF. The very next day, my fiance' spoke with the director because he wanted to handle it BUT he did not get anywhere as THE DIRECTOR SIDED WITH THE AFRICAN AMERICAN CO WORKER WHO ILLEGALLY WENT INTO MY ACCOUNT WITHOUT ANYTHING ON FILE(EXCEPT FOR THE CARD # SHE HAD WRITTEN DOWN AND SOCIALS ON FILE. LONG STORY SHORT, I WILL BE PRESSING CHARGES ON THIS FACILITY DUE TO THE UNETHICAL AND ILLEGAL PRACTICES THAT THEY TRY TO JUSTIFY AT THIS FACILITY. They do not obtain any proof that they had the right to go into my account and get $200 fee, NOTHING WAS EVER SIGNED, and they will be getting put under investigation by the little elm police department to make sure that this is to ever happen again to anyone else. As you can't judge a book by it's cover WE DO KNOW PEOPLE. I AM YOUNG BUT FAR FROM UNEDUCATED. read more

Children's Lighthouse has been such a wonderful educational experience for our 3 year old. We have been a part of the lighthouse family for almost 3 years now. Being in education, I know the importance school has, even before Kindergarten. I have been incredibly impressed with the things she has learned: counting and colors in Spanish, what nocturnal means, life cycles of various insects, how to write her name, and so much more. The director, assistant director, and owner have been extremely helpful and accommodating for our family as well. The ONLY thing I wish that was more detailed and individualized would be the daily reports. I love seeing what they are learning and words of the week, I just wish there were more specifics on each child's report. Other than that, we have been extremely happy here and can't wait to see what else our child learns! read more

I have a 1st grader and a 10 month old that both go to this location. I can honestly say that I have never been more at ease knowing my kids are in good hands. The director (Amy) and asst director (Allie) are such a fantastic duo and keep everything running so smooth and efficient. They are extremely observant and pay attention to details about each kid that walks through the door. They're both so personable and it's much appreciated from a parent standpoint. My oldest rides the afterschool care bus and it is a HUGE relief seeing that Amy and Allie PERSONALLY check off each kid as they get off the bus and they walk the bus to ensure no one is left. With all of the scary news stories about kids being left on the bus, I take comfort in knowing that they follow a specific protocol to make sure everyone is accounted for. Big kudos to Amy and Allie on this! I have personally gotten to know the infant and toddler room teachers and they without question love the kiddos as they are their own. Not to mention each and every teacher greets you with a BIG smile and are so excited to see your child. But the best part, is seeing how happy your baby is to see them too! That's when you know they're in good hands. I could not be more pleased with this staff, from room 1 all the way to room 10! read more

My almost 2 year old daughter has been going to the Children's Lighthouse in Frisco for about 2 months and we have nothing but positive reviews about this place! It's a very structured and organized day and after everyday when you pick up your child, ou receive a paper stating what they did all day, what they ate, when they check diapers, and how long they nap for. Our daughter has some separation anxiety but has lessen greatly. She now reaches for her teachers when being dropped off and doesn't fuss much at all. All in all a great place with an excellent staff!! read more

When my wife and I were looking for a daycare (or private preschool as some like to call them), we didn't have any experience. We also didn't know anyone who could give us a recommendation either. We called several facilities to get quotes, and toured two. One was Merryhill and the other was Children's Lighthouse, both on Eldorado Pkwy in McKinney. While Children's Lighthouse wasn't the cheapest option (but it was very close), it was bigger and brighter than Merryhill. I felt the infant room at Merryhill was dark and small. Additionally, it felt Children's Lighthouse was cleaner overall. We took a chance and enrolled our daughter. The infants room teachers are phenomenal, the toddlers room teachers are great as well (although there was some turnover that I think took a toll on my toddler as she built relationships with some of them). Overall, however, I am very pleased. My favorite teachers are Mrs. Kris, Mrs. Dorinda and Mrs. Gina, however any and all of the teachers that my daughter has had have been at least very good. We now have another daughter and she is enrolled there as well. I like that both my children have had the same teachers, and I am very rest-assured they are being taken care of. Some of my complaints have more to do with the other children, which of course you can't control. There have been a few "biters" and at one time my daughter was bit almost daily; the problem no-longer exists. Also, some of the children are rude and have bad habits that my daughter brings home. It just requires us to be more attentive to these learned behaviors before they become habits. My other complaint is that tuition has increased very steadily, and there are lots of additional fees like supply fees and registration fees (even when already enrolled). I don't know if these complaints are normal for all preschools, but I'm inclined to believe they are. It's been almost three years since I enrolled my first daughter, so I'm no longer aware if the pricing here is par, or more or less. This is the best place you could ever put your children. I put my son here when he was six months old and he just turned 12 months last weekend. All of the women have taught my son so much and made him feel loved and welcomed here. I've researched many day cares in the area and I have found that this is the best!! You can honestly feel that the staff genuinely loves what they do and it isn't a job for them. Stephanie runs a tight shift and the daycare is extremely clean . I know it's hard trusting people to watch your love one but I promise you you will not be disappointed!!! I highly recommend Childrens Lighthouse at Panther creek. My boys have been attending Children's Lighthouse for the past 2 years. We had recently moved here from Austin and I was nervous about finding a daycare as great as the one we attended in Austin. Needless to say, they have EXCEEDED my expectations and I couldn't have picked a BETTER place for my children to attend. My youngest started at 1 and he is so advanced compared to a lot of kids his age, because of the teachers at Lighthouse. Not only are the teachers AMAZING, they provide a loving and nurturing environment and my boys (who are moma's boys and love being at home) look forward to attending each day. My oldest attends their after school program and summer program and he absolutely LOVES IT. They work with him on his homework and keep him entertained until I'm able to pick him up. From day one they've treated us like family and I honestly don't think I could've picked a better place! read more

I picked up my almost 2 year old daughter early today because when I checked in on the monitor I observed her running around with no shirt for the better part of 15 mins. This is only the second time I've even looked at the online cam (feeling guilty now) in the 3 months that she has attended so if this is going on during the rare occasion that I check in I can only imagine. I thought surely they would go to her cubbie and get one of her extra shirts but as I continued to watch and the teacher was wholly unconcerned I realized they were not going to. My wife called up there and they said they had been looking for a shirt for her and was about to call her, which I saw no indication of. My wife called and pointed out that there were two extra shirts in her cubbie and I watched as they got the shirt and put it on her. When I arrived and spoke with the manager I was told that they were searching for a shirt and were about to call us. I asked where is the first place you look when you are trying to find extra clothes for a child and her response was their cubbie, the same place where there were two replacement shirts. Additionally, if it were true that they searched and just overlooked the first place they would normally look, why not put the jacket she brought on her until they could think to look in the first place they normally look, or contact us which, again, they did not do, we had to call them. I would not give any rating at al. I only kept my then one and half years old son there for one week. He had bruises on his forehead one day.Upon asking them they were evasive and said they forgot to inform me. On further pressing I was told that he y after the care taker and the door shut on him... The bruise was quite big.. The next day again I found a big bruise on his upper right arm and they said they don't know and that it might have happened when he was playing on the ground.Inspite of repeated requests I would find my son soiled with food all over. They would never wipe any kids clean even though I would provide bag full of wet and dry wipes.. Each class had 10 or more babies and they would gladly admit that they don't have enough staffs to attend specifically to my sons needs. My so who is a very happy child and loves to laugh a lot lost his smile for sometime !I would never recommend this place to any mother specially toddlers. I still feel guilty and blame myself for putting my do in there and making him go through such experience!! read more
