Recently moved to their new and much improved location on Galveston. (Next door to Primal Cuts.) Decent enough options for a small stand given how limited it is for space. Decent ratio of organic to non. Good reminder that local doesn't always mean better was had here the other day as rhubarb, from a local yard they said, was not ripe, limp and past prime while rhubarb at Whole Foods,not local, was ripe and in crisp prime condition. Beautiful spring green Walla Walla onions, hard to find, were available at Paradise Produce and delicious. They also had resh Oregon berries, the delicate gems were just on the cusp of being past edible given how fragile they are once picked. But at last Paradise had them when others didn't. With so many good produce alternatives in Bend, this isn't one I think of often, but AOK for what it is. Thumbs up for the fact that they are finally wheelchair accessible at front here, old location was step up. Small paved lot at back also has accessible parking. read more

I'm a big fan of Paradise Produce Stand and always eagerly await their reopening each Spring. Great selection of local produce, the tomatoes from John Day this year were exceptional. And the berries, delish. We make this place a regular stop with our grocery shopping in the spring and summer. Always pleased with the selection, quality, service and prices. My objective, always, if possible is to shop local. I appreciate the effort made to source locally. Keeping prices inline so you don't feel like you are splurging. And the quality of the produce is pretty darn exceptional. I believe the owner heads to Nicaragua in the winter while I anxiously await his return to Bend. Bravo Paradise Produce Stand! read more

the way you treat people is everything. The produce looked beautiful and we said wow we should come back here. But the man working here waited 10 minutes and followed us into dump city dumplings and yelled at my husband to move his car. We said sorry we didn't know, just getting to go is it ok, he stormed off. Then as my husband went to move his car proceed to say f*%@ you to him. The parking spots are not labeled for paradise produce only, and the other 3 were empty and they are closing in one hour. I'll say it again the way you treat people, customers, or what would have been future customers is everything. Epic fail dude, we will take our business elsewhere. read more

Truly wonderful fruits and vegetables. Always fresh . Changes within the season as each one becomes ripe. I find the prices high but are worth it because of the high quality and flavor. This is a really great little stand with good prices. Everything is always kept up well and looks fresh. The girls who run it are always friendly and it's a nice place to stop in to get some vegetables after getting some killer meat at Primal Cuts next door. Love this little farm stand! So much so that I avoided the zoo at the Farmer's Market all summer long and just went here instead. Great fresh produce selection-decent amount of organic selections-huge fan of the organic greens from Good Earth Farms!! Location is convenient, staff are friendly, and they have quite reasonable prices- I can always fill my bag for around 20 dollars! And they do take cards- another perk! My only gripe is the tantalizing aroma of bratwurst courtesy of Red Napkin, who they share a parking lot with-VERY hard to resist. Thanks for being a great addition to the neighborhood! read more

The produce is pretty nice, but the organic choices are limited (as of this review) to two small shelves in the back. If you want organic Oregon produce, the farmers' market is still your best bet. EDITED to add: As the reviewer above mentioned, "when available" the organic produce is more plentiful. I talked to the girls running the register and they confirmed that indeed, they try to get more organics in, but they are at the mercy of their suppliers and cannot guarantee consistent shipments. My three stars remain (there's nothing wrong with a three star review!). I think it's a great little operation and will continue to support it; I'll just rely on other more reliable sources for my organic produce when Paradise is thin. The people running the stand are friendly and helpful, they take credit cards, and their prices seem to be reasonable. The Paradise Produce Stand is slated to relocate in 2013 to the vacant lot on Galveston next to Primal Cuts (where Spork is currently parked). I'm excited for it to be within an easier walking distance of my other Galveston food stops - Primal Cuts and baked! However, it probably won't become a regular habit unless they start stocking a lot more organic options. read more

When available, Paradise Produce boasts about a 2 to 1 organics to conventional produce selection, contrary to a previous inaccurate review. Owner Adam and his crew were eager to please in their carefully arranged and ingeniously designed Bend westside stand. A common grocery manager's dream is to run a busy going concern like Paradise' roadside destination. And this well-thought-out business, with it's western themed homemade structure and constant happy reggae music (hence the name "Paradise"), will not disappoint. Branching out, they occasionally supply numerous local culinary hotshots like Spork and Bend street fairs. As a non-bricks and mortar produce supplier, I can't see how you could do better than a visit to Paradise. read more
