A Peoria classic!! My wife's and my fave place to eat out at! Never had a bad meal or bad service! I always get the onion rings (of course!!!) plus whatever else Stokes my fancy. Its all good here !! Plus the atmosphere is low key and never pretentious. One of our favorites! We have gone here for the wings for 10 years and they always satisfy. Several choices of heat for the wings. They are very lightly breaded so they are not sloppy, which we like. And the beer garden is great! read more

Schooner's is a pretty cheap bar, but it is kind of a dive. They don't have much of a beer selection, but if you're going for a Busch Light you will be satisfied by the huge beer you get for such a low price. The food isn't bad either. read more

Food was very good, Italian beef was flavorful, handmade onion rings very good. I guess this is what Guy Fieri would call a dive. I recommend it. I actually expected it to be a lot bigger. read more

I never have to worry about getting a good meal here. The people and staff are friendly. I am a terloin sandwich fan, and Schooners has a good one. A little on the thin side, but. The big as your head size makes up for it. I can never get away without ordering some of their great greasy onion rings. Alway served piping hot. My friend Sai her chef's salad was just ok, but good. The gaming machines take away from the little atmosphere, but all and all I recommend a trip to Schooners. read more

I worked at the Bloomington Schooner's when I was in college 27 years ago. Incredible food and a great place to work!

Stopped in yesterday, for my first visit. I sat at the bar and had excellent service. The ruben sandwich was the best I ever ate. The corned beef was about 2" thick. the frieswere the thick cut and I'm a thin fry guy but these were very good. The homemade chicken noodle soup was very good. My daughter and I went to schooners today and were very disappointed. I had the chicken which had no flavor and was a little greasy. The baked potato had been in the warming drawer for long and the salad was just iceberg lettuce with a couple of strips of purple cabbage along with croutons. My daughter had a grilled pork chop and fries. The pork chop wasn't seasoned so was bland but the fries were ok. I will not go back and will not suggest it to anyone. read more
