A very large and well run facility. It seems to be very popular with lots of tournaments and the largest number of clay stations at a facility I have seen. They also offer a wide variety of hunting options. We travelled here for a Lesson with AIM shooting school and were not disappointed. It was an excellent lesson and we learned a lot from the instructor Dianne. We hope to come up again some time to shoot one of the courses. read more

Clay shooting is a common eastern shore pastime. I heard about this place from a friend. I'm a regular at Pintail Point in Queenstown but they're not open on Monday and Tuesdays. Schrader's is open 7 days a week and they have A LOT of activities beyond just clay shooting. They also do a lot of stuff including upland shooting and whitetail hunting. The staff is super friendly and eager to inform you of their services! There's also a club house area to chill and ample parking spaces. If you're looking for an authentic eastern shore experience, put Schrader's on your list. read more

The range set-ups at Schrader's Outdoors are safely spread out over what I imagine are thousands of acres. Other shooters could be heard, but our pistol range felt private and relaxed, like we had our own little nook. The target stand was a little rough, but somehow that just added to the rustic charm. Having the pond in the backdrop added to the experience. Friendly staff; hourly rates reasonable and certainly worth the fun. Can't wait to go back. read more

I am a first time duck hunter and I had the best first hunt with Schrader's and their guide Andrew F. Andrew is professional, proficient, kind, knowledgeable, and considerate. As a first timer, I was nervous about how the operation would go, when to set up to shoot, when to fire, how to follow through, etc. but Andrew guided me with clear instructions and genuine excitement at my success. I was reluctant to promise a second trip at the beginning of the week, but I can safely say now that Andrew convinced me to want to come back! Schrader Outdoors is a cool little woodsy establishment that provides for a fun time for both beginners and veteran's alike. The staff are on the older side which is a nice departure from the typical high school student trapper. Fantastic place in the Baltimore/DC Metropolitan areas to try out various activities like skeet shooting (clay pigeons) and 3d archery. The staff was very nice in helping me create a package for my husband that included an archery lesson and clay pigeon lesson (both included rental of their weapons) over 2 days with a stay at the beautiful hunting lodge with breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We originally planned for him to go on a turkey hunt too, but you need to take a class and get a hunting license beforehand so we nixed that. My husband said his archery and skeet shooting lessons were great, and the courses were spread out enough that it didn't get repetitive, especially with the parts in the woods. He said the instructors were very helpful. Also, it was raining the day of his lesson and they were nice enough to say we could come back on a nicer day since he didn't get the full experience. I do wish the manor had someone staffing it 24/7 - you check in at the club house and otherwise there isn't someone always at the manor. The day we checked in there was a very loud bridal shower on the main floor and it was hard to chill out with the noise. We were the only ones there afterwards, which was problematic when it was time for our dinner and we couldn't find anyone! They use a caterer who has to travel there only when someone has signed up for lunch or dinner. The catered food is good, simple comfort food. Breakfast is "continental" meaning several packaged pastry desserts and cereal - could definitely do with some fruit, maybe yogurt or something fresh! Besides the small issues I have with the manor itself, this place is great! read more

Terrific place for sporting clays. They have sixteen different stations and 4 targets at each station. The trappers change the targets all the time so you're never shooting the same course no matter how often you visit. The staff are the nicest people on earth because it's a family business with a real family feel. read more

So when I originally found this place it was amazing then after coming awhile it started to go downhill. So three times now we have been double booked and after that I think we are done coming here. How is that we book our spot a week in advance but the day we show up to shoot another group is there reserved the range that morning. How does that happen? Ridiculous. A friend and I went out for a day of deer hunting. Didn't see a single mammal all day long. $300 for the privilege of sitting all day birdwatching in arctic temperatures. On the other hand, they were extremely good hosts -- the manager went above and beyond the call of duty to set things up well for us -- and the hunting guide seemed to be doing his best, though he did put me into a tree stand for the morning with the wind blowing from the south when he said the deer would be coming from the north. But he put me in a blind in what seemed like an excellent spot in the afternoon. Some days are just unlucky, I guess. Some other hunters were there for geese and did great. So maybe a better place for birds than for deer? read more
