I lived in Harrison for 29 yrs, and was a loyal customer! During the years there were a couple lousy drivers! They charged a reasonable rate,nice size trunk, always helped me! The dispatcher wants everyone to know he is disgruntled and angry at the world 24/7. Also, they keep sending me a guy who doesn't shut the hell up during the cab ride. Once in a while the cabs stink like annoyingly nauseating car freshener and not the good kind. Otherwise, it's a pretty good cab service. No smoking cabbies & you don't have to share a cab (*cough* *cough* HARRISON CAB). They usually show up on time, and once in a while early. And the cab fare is what I expect to pay for a cab. You really don't have a choice anyway, this is the only logical cab company to take in Kearny. read more

Really, really did not like any journey I had with Schuyler cabs. The dispatcher seemed incredibly unpleasant, the drivers are incredibly unpleasant, and therefore my experience was generally an unpleasant one. They're more expensive then Harrison cabs, by a dollar but still, and I just thought the driver I got both times was one of the rudest taxi drivers I've ever had to put up with. He was so nasty to the other woman who got in (Yes, they do cab sharing over in New Jersey. How weird is that?!), and he wouldn't stop swearing, and acted like it was the worst thing in the world when I handed him a $20 for an $8 journey because he had to spend time fishing out a $10 note. Get a grip. Phone Harrison instead, you'll have a better journey with a taxi driver who won't make you wish you'd walked. read more

I have used Schuyler Cab for rides to the airport and they are the best option. Punctual, affordable and very friendly. I will continue to use them for all my rides to Newark airport (from the Kearny/N.A. area) in the future, in fact I am on here now because I'm looking for their phone number quickly but feel they deserve a higher rating so I'm leaving a review. Using them is not expensive, stress-free, beats the heck out of paying long term parking rates & running the risk of your car being broken into at the airport, dealing with the slow shuttle bus hassle or asking a friend to do it. So I called this company for a pick up and drop off approximately twenty minutes from my house last night, and after being told they'd arrive in ten to fifteen minutes, an hour later I left because guess what? THEY NEVER SHOWED UP or CALLED. I called half an hour after my initial call to see if they were on their way, and was told they were by the dispatcher but nobody showed or tried calling. Don't even bother with this company. Good thing I found a ride because I would have been stranded by these fools. read more

DO NOT use this service, at all costs. EXCEEDINGLY RUDE drivers. i had to use them to get to my doctors office because i had no other ride and my lady was yelling at me and making fun of me with me in the car. i thought "the customer is always right", but i dont think this company has ever heard of that phrase. i dont use taxis often but this was hands down the worst ever experience: even NYC cabbies beat the treatment i got from this service. im humiliated and absolutely shocked. 3 stars overall rating? this place deserves less than half of that. unless you want this kind of experience, dont order a cab from here. my drivers name was "patricia" if you were wondering. read more

Dispatcher always sounds annoyed, but at least he answers the questions you ask and makes sure to get your ride to your front door at your request time. The cab is usually very punctual and Schuyler Cab Co is one of the more affordable options in the Kearny / NA / Harrison area. Ride to the airport for less than $40 and they are very quick. read more

Tonight I had very pleasant service from this cab. Dispatcher was super nice, car came quick. No complains. Definitely will use it again.

Zero stars dispatcher flat out lies about pick up times. I was told 15 minutes. Called them back after 45 and was told driver screwed up address which is 4 blocks from their dispatch. Was told he would be right there. Waited another 15 no show called harrison cab who is in the next town. Harrison showed up after 10 more minutes still no show from Schuyler. Same shit last time I tried to use Schuyler cab. Better off calling harrison or classic in newark. Never bother with Schuyler again deleting from contact list! read more

I've used this company twice in the last year for rides to Newark Airport and will be using them again this year. From dispatch to driver they were very professional and friendly. Schuyler cab may have had a bad rap in the past but they have turned it around. i used to use Milenio or Classic but do not anymore. read more

Called them today for two trips. The operator's tone is a little cut and dry but she did what I needed. Both experiences, the drivers were chatty but I don't mind at all. They got me to my destination quickly and safely. Will definitely call again when I need a cab. read more

After reading the 5-star review, I called them to ask a question about their service area. It's ok if they don't pick up from the hotel where I plan to stay, but the rude a-hole who answered the phone was a complete jerk. Bad karma. read more

Poorly managed and unreliable, sometimes 10 minutes, sometimes 50 minutes, sometimes no show! The most important thing about car service is reliability, do not count on this place!!! They will leave you stranded! read more

The cars are absolutely filthy. I know this is a just a medium-sized suburban town with few other options but have some respect for your customers and yourselves. It's shocking how dirty the cars are. The drivers are lazy, and smell bad. The dispatcher is probably the best part about this company but when I called 30 minutes ago she said 10 minutes. I would give it zero stars but can't. Have tried them a few times, but NOT ONCE did they come at the requested time. Add at least 10-20 minutes more to your reservation if you want to make it somewhere on time. And agree with the other comments, dispatcher ALWAYS sounds annoyed!! And just loooooved the smell of cigarettes. read more

I've used Schuyler Cab Company a few times. I called them this evening from the Secaucus train station and the driver was incredibly jittery and had a heavy foot. He also missed the exit so we had to go the round about way which took an extra 15 minutes. I won't mention the guys name but he really freaked me out by the way he drove. He was incredibly high strung. I don't think that he should be driving overnight at all. I'll remember him and I'll request not to have him ever ever again. Otherwise the company is great I've used them a bunch of times with no problems and I'm not the one to complain about anything but this guy really freaked me out and I drive for a living as well. read more
