While the new asphalt driveway we had installed is not perfect, it is 95% better than what we had…read more Aesthetically the drive looks very nice with a few exceptions. There are a few cuts in areas that are not symmetrical side to side, but not awful. There are a few uneven spots in the driveway, as well as at the bottom, that puddle a bit of water that could not be seen when the job was being done. Also, not awful. Then there are two areas along the sidewalk where water puddles which will be a problem for ice when the time comes. I mentioned this to Drew when the job was being done and he said it was because the sidewalk had sunk a bit. I thought, well maybe, let me see it when everything is settled and wait for rain. Well, it's not that at all. It's because the asphalt is raised over the lip of the sidewalk in those areas which then collects water. The sidewalk was never flat to the stone driveway we had previously so I blame myself for not making a point of that to Drew before the job. But then again, in my opinion, the asphalt should not be over the lip of the sidewalk in some areas and not others. In other words, make it even or lower the asphalt along the sidewalk to avoid any puddling. This is not to give a bad review. It is to point out details that others may not think about when looking to do a project like this. Drew has a wealth of knowledge and experience. He was very polite, interesting in conversation and followed through on everything. The crew worked VERY WELL together, very efficient. They left us nothing to have to clean up which was a big plus. Drew and both of Mickey's sons, who were also very engaging with us about the job, were on the job on work day . Several neighbors have made nice comments on the driveway as well as several others stopping in their cars to admire, make comments and take a picture of the sign in the yard, so hopefully more jobs were created for Mickey's Asphalt. I did give a good word for those that asked me about Mickey's service. Overall, we are happy with the job. Price was reasonable.

I had followed Montana Concrete Pro on Facebook and loved their work. When I suggested looking into them, she insisted it would be too expensive, but we called to get a quote just to see. Ahmad came out and we explained that we were in the beginning stages and weren't really sure what we were looking for (concrete, decorative concrete or pavers). We saw other project that had sitting walls and firepits, but weren't really sure what we wanted. Ahmad was very understanding and transparent. He worked up a quote for each style and gave us pricing guidelines on added features (sitting wall, firepits, etc). He spent a few minutes explaining the benefits of each style. We let him know we'd have to talk things over and we'd get back to him. We did call two other companies to get prices Montana Concrete was similarly priced to one and more affordable to another. We chose Montana and Ahmad because they were more responsive, professional and transparent during the estimate process. We worked with Ahmad to create a final design, price quote and schedule the job. Because it was busy season (mid-June) we would have to wait until the first week in August. Two weeks later we got a call from Ahmad explaining they had another job in the area next week and he'd like to do our job at the same time since his crew would be in the area. We agreed and the job started the following week. The job was originally planned to take 5-7 working days, but there were a few minor delays due to rain and extreme heat. Even with the delays the job was completed in 8 working days. Ahmad was responsive and transparent about the delays. The finished product is amazing. Montana Concrete came back numerous times after the patio was complete to reseed grass, clean spots from the pavers and remove excess materials. They made sure we were satisfied in every way possible. My mother has received so many compliments from friends, family and neighbors. One neighbor commented that it looked like "something out of a magazine." I would recommend Montana Concrete to anyone.

The aging caulk between the coping and concrete was cracking, pulling away from the concrete and badly needed replaced. Mike, business owner, removed the remaining caulking and backing, sanded the gap and replaced with new backing rod and caulk.
