When a place that sells donuts says they are the #1 Rated Donuts In The World...you stop in and try the #1 donuts in the world. Wifey and I stopped in here after a wine tasting in the area (sort of dessert after trying dessert wines). When we walked in I asked the person behind the counter which donut was the "the one" and they tried pushing the "they're all great" but we went with their simple glazed and it was really, really good. Best in the world?? Impossible to say, but probably not. But let me say again, this donut was really good - and if given the chance I'd order two more!

I'm afraid to say that until now I hadn't tried a good vegan ice cream. Many varieties I've tried just didn't have the formula correct but that problem has been solved by Scoop 'n Dough. I had the opportunity to try a couple flavors but settles on the black sesame and it evoked the flavor and texture of OG dairy ice cream. A truly pleasant surprise. I'm remiss to have not tried the best donuts in the world but next time I won't make the same mistake!

Scoop 'n Dough is a must-try place! As a vegan, sweets and pastries don't come around often, so I was thrilled to find this place on Yelp. I visited the store Sunday afternoon, it is a small and brightly lit area, with a kitchen in the back and display cabinets in the front. Upon entering, I was greeted warmly by the staff, who promptly took my order and started preparing it. The selection is incredible - all vegan! The donuts were the thickest I've ever seen, and the ice cream options were amazing. My mission was to get donuts since we were leaving early the next morning for Porto. With over a dozen different styles to choose from, I ended up with two Madagascar Vanilla glazed, one raspberry (red berry) with cream glaze and blueberry filling, and one Chocolate glaze with Chocolate Ganesh filling. These donuts are to die for! The yeast-raised donuts are about 2 to 3 inches tall, and the fillings and glazes are bursting with flavor. They're not too sweet, and you can immediately tell what flavors they have. They were the best donuts I've ever had, hands down. I can't wait to go back to Lisbon and try more of these delicious treats!

Omg we were so thrilled to find this vegan place. They have amazing donuts, delicious ice cream and scrumptious macarons. I have had my fair share of vegan desserts and the donuts here are by far the best vegan dessert I have ever had!!! We ordered the raspberry & vanilla, salted caramel, apple crumble and bannofie pie donuts. We also ordered a box of 6 macarons and coconut & passion fruit ice cream. They were all delicious!!! We enjoyed it so much we came back for a second round our last day in Cascais. My favorite is the raspberry vanilla donut. Treat yourself and order one of everything lol. You won't regret it.

I came here because all of their desserts are vegan. We got four donuts, which included a chocolate, lemon, berry, and caramel doughnuts. I also got the vanilla ice cream. It all tasted amazing. They have a little bit of outdoor seating. The guy who helped us was nice and friendly. I would definitely return for their donuts in particular.

Was so surprised to see a vegan donut and ice cream place near the Rossio Square! We went later at night so unfortunately the donuts weren't really available. Note to self: go early! A lot of the ice cream was gone too, but we were able to try some of it. My husband got the coffee flavor and I got the cookies 'n' cream. It was also voted as one of the best spots in 2021 and I can see why! I'm so glad there are options there for vegetarian and vegan places for us! I hope I can visit Portugal again one day and hope I can go back so that during the day time I can try their donuts!

According to a list I cannot locate on the Internet, Scoop n Dough was allegedly voted - by someone or some site - as the best donut purveyor in the world. Is it delicious? Absolutely! Is it better than crosstown rival Crush Donuts? Not even close! But it's good enough if you're near Rossio Plaza. Most donuts are sold out by the afternoon, so don't delay! Scoop n Dough has a great raspberry donut filled with cream and topped with a rich raspberry frosting and bits of real fruit. The layered dough is wonderfully chewy. They also serve a lovely lemon sorbet. Lisbon's Crush Donuts might actually be the world's best donut, in my humble opinion, while Scoop n Dough is certainly not. However, I do think I understand why tourists voted this the best dessert spot in Lisbon on TripAdvisor. It's located in a touristy area while fewer people make it to either Crush location or the legendary bakery Pastéis de Belém, both of which are far superior. Scoop n Dough got the "scoop" on better eateries thanks to its prime location, and it's a worthy stop. But it isn't the best.

Yum‼ Vegan ice cream is amazing. This ice cream did not lack in flavor at all. All we needed was a scoop because of its richness. The atmosphere was small but cute and they workers were very friendly. We paid with cash and they actually have a machine so there isn't a hand to hand transaction which I thought was dope. We didn't try the doughnuts but from the looks of them I'm they are amazing. Also, you are allowed to sample before you actually make you decision which was great since it is so rare to do now of days. Would definitely love to come back and try more flavors.

OMG, vegan donuts and ice cream!!! Scoop 'n Dough is a short 10-minute walk from our vacation apartment in the Barrio-Alto, which is both a good thing and a bad-thing: Good, in that they make the best doughnuts (vegan or not!) around; Bad, in that the temptation is way too close!!! (I'm gonna look like a doughnut if I keep eating 'em!! Lol!!) These aren't the cheapest of fried-dough; but, I've no doubt they're the best tasting! All the fancy ones are terrific, but my fave is the simple Madagascar vanilla-glazed ones. All their doughnuts are extra-large, as well. I'm not much of an ice cream eater; however, I had a cup of their dark chocolate one and, Oh-Boy!, it was scrumptious!!! The shop is located in a prime spot near a Broadway-like theater and the touristy Rossio plaza, so they tend to sell-out fast. Sadly, they don't open early (at 11:00a), so I suggest picking-up some of these doughy jewels early to take home for your morning coffee. If you love doughnuts, RUN don't walk to Scoop 'n Dough, pronto!!! :D
This appears to be a local shop with a few locations in the Lisbon area and one in Cascais. We didn't get to visit the Cascais location because it was closed. The location we visited was in Marvila. It was a little more pricey than I expected but the vegan donuts and vegan ice cream were really good. I was hoping to get a bit more ice cream for the price but the single scoop was more like a kid scoop size. It was good! The service was good as well. There was a small area to sit. It was located within what seemed like a plant and home decor store, very interesting but great people watching! Glad we tried it and would definitely visit again. read more

I can't believe it's not dairy ice cream! My friend and I were drawn to this place because of the MANY accolades we noticed on its window. We decided we HAD to try it. I got the coconut caramel which was to die for, so creamy, I could not get over it. I would also say it's pretty fairly priced which is a nice plus. read more

Doughnuts and ice cream together is a deadly combination. Scoop 'n Dough brings the business and their products are delicious. So, I recommend getting a doughnut with some black sesame ice cream on top. This will give you more vitality, especially on a hot day. read more

Service was quick. Ambiance was incredible, both for the patio area and the indoor area. I was genuinely in awe of the decoration and cleanliness inside. The presentation of the food is also great. The ice cream is very creamy with a great texture, however the flavor is somewhat lacking. It is either too sweet or not sweet enough depending on the flavor. I tried the strawberries and cream donut, and it was tasty but too rich and sweet for me personally. It was well made, though, and the fact that all of this is vegan makes it much more impressive. If you're vegan, I definitely recommend this place. Otherwise, it's still worth a visit, but you may have less reason to choose it over other ice cream places. read more

I have tried Vegan donuts everywhere, literally everywhere I go. Vegas has Ronald's, Portland has Voodoo, NYC has Dun-Well, Berlin has Brambles. All these donut companies SLAY. So when Scoop n Dough told me they were the best, all I could think was "that's going to be hard to compete with" First off, as a big fan of Ben and Jerry's ice cream (vegan) the "cookie dough and fudge" ice cream is the BEST and CREAMIEST ice cream I have ever ever had. I'm serious. I ate it around non-vegans and they were losing their mind. DONT SLEEP ON THE ICE CREAM. But the donuts....... I don't know what to say, they are honestly a whole experience. The Hazlenut one is my favorite, but the dark chocolate, and the crème brûlée were right there with it. First off, they are works of art. You almost feel bad to bite into them. That feels fades the second you do. They are soft, delicious, moist puffy clouds of delicious perfection. Not a single ingredient is out of place. The cream fillings are bold and intense without being over bearing, the toppings do what they should, coat the the top and offer flavor while leaving room for the rest of the experience. Honestly I came here every day. Just go. It's worth it. read more

Cool ice cream novelty. Donut was good, but nothing special. Ice cream flavors were honestly horrible and flavorless. After trying 3, we decided on vanilla brownie. Mainly because it was just plain vanilla ice cream with brownie pieces. read more

Meh. The texture is very very good but Sn'D falls short on flavor. First of all, all four of the flavors we tasted and ate were weak, but what did not work for us was the coconut flavor aftertaste. We had four flavors at Niva that were incomparably better than here. If you can take the time to get up to the Principe Real, you'll find it worth your while!! read more

If you're going for nice Portuguese vegan gelato, this place is a necessity to go to. Everything is a vegan which works very well because my sister is vegan and does not eat any meat, fish, shellfish, dairy, eggs, oil, grease, carbs, grains, wheat, or leather. This vegan gelato place was very convenient for my family because it was right next to our hotel right in the heart of my asshole. Enjoy a great fucking dessert when you go to Scoop'n Dough! read more

I loved this ice cream shop! Super clean, very friendly staff, easy to find. I did not have a donut, but they look delicious - almost like a cross between a donut and a fruit kolache. Ice cream flavors were a great mix between traditional (Belgium chocolate, lemon sorbet) and more adventurous flavors (biscoff, Black sesame). I recommend the saffron with pistachio. The saffron gives the ice cream a hint of a floral flavor and the pistachio balances the ice cream with that earthy, green flavor. read more

Lovely ice cream shop in Lisboa! I had the black sesame ice cream which was absolutely delicious. Usually vegan ice cream is too sweet, but this had the right consistency and flavor. It's a place definitely to visit if you're in the area! read more
We decided to come here after a nice downtown dinner for a little dessert. The location was great, located in the center of a back ally with many restaurants and tourist action. We got to the storefront and it was so small, there were maybe 4 customers and we couldn't all fit inside. The young lady working was very nice and explained the menu given the fact that we haven't been there before, enough though we were there 2 hours before closing she explain that they no longer had the famous doughnut and ice cream sandwich available because the costumers in front of us had the last one of the evening. I thought this was unusual especially being about 9:30, grime dessert time. With that we did leave because we wanted to try what they were known for. I may have given this place a higher rating if i acting got to try their food, but as for now, i cannot. Maybe we will try again, but then again, there are numerous other Lisbon classics that will be sure to have their desserts in stock. read more
