The shop was clean and they had a nice variety of flavors. After tasting a couple, I ordered one scoop in a cup... The scoop was literally almost the size of an entire pint of ice cream. People comment that this place is expensive, and yes, one scoop was eight dollars, but it was the quantity of nearly a pint of ice cream! I couldn't even finish it! So if you're looking for a normal scoop of ice cream at a normal price, go with the kids size and you won't be disappointed. That being said, it was some pretty amazing ice cream! I have been here several times with no problem. Went last night for milkshakes and they were watered down, flavorless and almost had shaved ice in it. The first time we got regular scoops from the case and the second night we were too full from dinner to eat ice cream right then so we got pints from the freezer and brought them back to the airbnb. Meh. I guess by Scoops they mean one scoop full of air because that's what I got. They weren't very busy but they were pretty slow. Maybe they had just reopened after COVID so I'm trying not to judge too harshly. The ice cream tasted ok but my one scoop was mostly air so that was disappointing. Hubby had one scoop that was good so they did ok there. It's not a huge place and it may get busier I'm the summer and maybe they get better at scooping. The price for the quality and size was reasonable. We each ordered a small and received 2 large scoops. In addition 10+ ice cream flavors, Scoops offers concretes and smoothies. I love the ice creams even though they are EXTREMELY OVERPRICED. I decide to treat myself with them occasionally. Every time I go there the teenage girls that work there are very rude. It's always a different girl but the same attitude as the last if not worse. I've worked in an ice cream shop, I understand how boring it can be. I know how annoying it can be to be slow allllllll day and then suddenly a bunch of people walk in at once. But I am literally greeted with someone rude every time I go. I spent 30 dollars on 2 scoops of ice cream yesterday!!!!! That's INSANE but I love the ice cream that usually it's worth it. I usually order shakes and decided to get a sundae for the first time and the girl working there was very rude and condescending when explaining to me what comes on a sundae after I had some confusion on the toppings that go on it. It made me feel bad and it wasn't even that big of a deal for her to be so mean about it. Money is so hard to come by nowadays working in food service and I just wanted to enjoy some ice cream with what I had. I even tipped because that's just the nice thing to do. But I can't spend my hard earned money there anymore and justify the price on top of the treatment I get every time. You guys got the ice cream down but the customer service is trash. If you don't like your job then don't take it out on PAYING CUSTOMERS. I used to recommend you guys to everyone but now I won't be going back myself. Six of is went after dinner, we wanted to see what the fuzz was about (reviews and recommendations). 5 each got one scoop waffle cone and one child had a child scoop, for a total of $36 dollars (OUCH!!!!!). For the price, this should be the creamiest most delicious ice cream in the state of Arkansas..... it was not. My wife got the cafe latte, I got the rocky road, the others got mint chocolate chip, vanilla bean, The creaminess is average, the sweetness is not too sweet (which is good) because it doesn't give you an immediate sugar high (so you get two stars for that). The ingredients, that is where you lost stars) the lack of ingredients. The mint should have a punch of mint and plenty of chips. The rocky road (my Lifetime favorite) had zero marshmallows and lacked chocolate flavor, you couldn't tell it was rocky road because it was a whitish brown color ice cream (pretty strange), it tasted a little like chocolate, but reminded me of me drinking milk with powder chocolate Quick. Vanilla bean was plain vanilla (like having a vanilla shake from Sonic). I wish i had tasted the mango ice cream, which should be made with fresh mango chunks (I hope you don't make it with mango flavor), maybe next time. I regret skipping dessert at dinner to come and try some homemade ice cream. read more

Ice cream is just ice cream... Bah humbug! Anyone who says this has not been to Scoops. I have tried 8 different flavors so far and have not found anything wrong with any of them. You can really tell that they take pride in their product- the taste is a perfect blend of taste, texture and sweetness. My favorite flavor is the peanut butter but it also seems like it is the first ones they sell out of. The suicide by chocolate is really good too. Mix them up and get a shake with these two and I promise you that you will not leave disappointed. The one downside is they do not accept cash. That, to me was a bit annoying and I think it could limit their audience- especially younger kids that may just walk over from the lake or neighborhood. That is the only reason I could not give it 5 stars- there is definitely nothing wrong with the product!! read more

Overpriced ice cream. I asked if I could get 2 flavors in the small cup so just make half one flavor and half the other. He said I would have to get a double small. Good homemade ice cream with large scoops. Prices are a bit expensive though, can add up for a family and kids.

Ice Cream was very cool, but you do pay a high price for it. Next time I am in Hot Springs, I will return for another scoop.
