I live in Hot Springs and happened to be in the area, so I decided to stop in and try this place out. I'm always up for good gelato, so I figured it was worth a shot. First impression walking in: the place is actually really nice. It's spacious and very clean, which I appreciated. That said, the atmosphere felt a little rushed and not especially welcoming. The employee didn't say anything rude--it was just one of those situations where you kind of feel like you need to order quickly and move along. Now, about the prices. To be fair, they are clearly posted, so nothing was hidden. But they are *very* high for the portion size. There's a gelato shop right on the downtown strip where you'd normally expect higher tourist prices, and you can get a triple scoop there for around what this place charges for a single. Getting it in a cone costs extra, and if you want a chocolate-dipped cone... well, let's just say your wallet should probably stretch first. Since we were already there, we ordered a single scoop in a cup and a single scoop in a cone. The scoops were pretty small, and the total came out to $27. I actually had to double-check the receipt because I thought maybe something rang up wrong. Unfortunately, the gelato itself didn't make the price easier to swallow. Good gelato is supposed to be very smooth and creamy. This one had a grainy, or crystalline texture, more like lower-end ice cream than true gelato. The flavor was okay, but nothing special--definitely not what you'd expect at that price point. For comparison, I can buy about five pints of Talenti gelato at the store for the same amount of money, and it's honestly much better. Overall, I hate leaving negative reviews, but between the high prices, small portions, and the texture of the gelato, this one just wasn't for me. I won't be going back. If you're in the mood for gelato in Hot Springs, I'd recommend heading downtown to the shop across from The Arlington instead. Your taste buds--and your wallet--will probably thank you. read more

Technically would give like 3.75 stars so you know the deal! Got a coupon for this place from our hotel and looked forward to the treat the whole trip! They closed early on Christmas Eve which sucked but made our way back on our last night, the coupon had expired the day before and they refused to validate it which sucked considering how pricey this place is and we're out of towner's trying to spread the word. When we walked in I caught the young man behind the counter taking a sample of one of the gelatos. If I worked there I would sample myself into a case of diabetes. The hardest part of places like this is trying to decide what you want to eat. We knew we wanted gelato but my wife can never decide on a flavor. I quickly ordered two flavors (salted caramel and Irish creme) and let her pick which one she wanted. She has a hard time with very sweet things like ice cream but she ate every bit of that gelato (and a little of mine too). While we ate were perusing the menu board and we both agreed that it was a shame that we didn't go there for lunch. We won't make that mistake the next time we're in Hot Springs. Now for the review. We had four in party and it was $40 plus tip. So, like others have said, it's pricey. That aside, it was very good gelato, good shake, good sorbet. The service was good. They are walk-in, carry out. They do offer free samples. Seems like would be a great atmosphere pre and post-covid. They weren't wearing masks, but stayed more than social distancing requires from us across the counter.
