I drive past this coffee stand almost daily and finally had the opportunity to stop by. The gal at the drive through was super sweet and helpful with my order-- same thing when I paid and pick up my drink at the window. I got a decaf almond milk latte and it was delicious. I like to stop at not-the-usual coffee drive thrus. I was up early to do an errand with no food or coffee on board and Scooters was on the way to my next errand. I ordered the hot lavender white mocha. Never had it before and I love lavender. It tasted quite good but needed a bit more lavender... next time! The cold brew coffee is like water. I've given this place several visits and just haven't been able to get a good coffee. Last visit the cashier didn't want to scan my barcode (for points) and said I could just put the info in from my receipt into the app. This did not work. Experience ruined by one rude employee.... We've been going since it opened, 3-times a week on average. Always have been fans! However...the reason I'm writing this review is because of a particular employee. I don't have a name BUT ... she has made me feel like I was doing something wrong every time we encounter her. I ordered a Large drink and when I came to the window I was given a Medium. When I said I had asked for a Large, she argued with me. "You ordered a Medium!" (My daughter who was in the car with me, said she knows I ordered a Large.) Ok, I said, please just charge me the difference for a Large... well she didn't do that - she charged me for BOTH a Large AND a Medium and was huffy and rude giving me the new drink. The next time we went, (same gal) got angry with me for touching the tip cups (I ALWAYS tip in cash!) because I was trying to see the pictures on them and show my daughter, asking her, "which one should we put the tip in?" I got an angry face from the employee and "you can't touch those!" ...obviously she did not receive a tip from me this time. I could go on about a third experience w/this employee but you get the idea. Rude and disrespectful- terrible customer service. Also, my "smoothie" has large chunks of ice in it. Yuck! I do not like leaving negative reviews for places I love but this one person has ruined my experience enough that I won't be going back. One last note, everyone else there has been lovely and the owner Wes is nice too but with so many other coffee choices around, I don't want to know I'm starting out my day by being told I've done something wrong. I can say with utmost certainty that I have never had a bad experience with anyone working at Scooter's. The first time I went there, I had found out that the coolant reservoir of my car had completely fallen out -- or was never even there to begin with. The valves and hoses were completely shut. Not even welded, it just looked like they hadn't ever even been there. A kid on staff came out and looked at it after smelling hot metal from the window as he handed me my caramelicious blender, and had told me to pull around to the staff parking lot so he could take a look. Upon finding that there had been no coolant, he was certain my car was electric. After being assured that I drive a 2002 Toyota Tacoma, however, he promptly recognized what needed to be done. He ran to the nearest auto shop and purchased all of the tools and other effects needed to remedy the vehicle's salient problem, all on his fifteen minute lunch break. The second time, I had not been thinking much of the two tiny, circular wounds on my arm. One of the baristas saw it in passing and told me, again, to pull around. My truck had been running so smoothly from the former act of kindness, I could complete that task in half the time it had previously taken. Anyway, the lovely staff member comes out and takes a better look at my arm. My jaw had been feeling a little tight, so I couldn't drop it when he told me that I had been bitten by an Inland Taipan, the most venomous snake in the world. He had some spare Taipan antivenom rolling around in the back of his Honda, so he administered it himself and properly dressed the bite wound. My jaw began to loosen little by little, and I was able to finish the maple waffle sandwich with which he had graced me just seven minutes prior. The third and final time was perhaps the most outstanding and impressive. I had just woken up and had a bit of time before I needed to head into work. My water broke while at the box where they take your order. I was trying to play it cool -- I didn't have time to bring new life into this world, I needed to finish my auditing. The worker in the window saw that I was evidently not having a good time, so he asked what was wrong. I told him that my water had just broken while I was speaking to him on the mic earlier, and he donned sterile gloves and instantly jumped through the drive-thru window into the cab of my truck, seamlessly diving in a way that somehow didn't leave so much as a scratch in its blue paint. The line was empty, and I was in no condition to be operating a motor vehicle, so he delivered the child right there in the drive thru line -- get this -- in less than ten minutes. That very baby is named after him. Have I mentioned that the barista in all of these three separate occasions was the same person? Kyler, if you're somehow reading this, thank you for your unlimited expertise in automobile mechanics, toxicology, and obstetrics. The Scooter's team is lucky to have you, and I am lucky to have a son named after you. I can only hope he's not as Eric Cartman-esque as my last two. Irrelevant. read more
