My wife and I recently visited family in Alexander City for Thanksgiving and found ourselves in need of an early-morning caffeine fix. A quick search led us to Scooter's Coffee, a spot we hadn't tried before. My wife ordered a chai latte and absolutely loved it. I wasn't sure what to get, but the manager kindly suggested a flavored chai latte, and it did not disappoint--it was delicious! We also tried the bacon and gouda omelet bites, which were equally satisfying. The staff was both friendly and professional, making the experience even better. Scooters has been wonderful for as long as I have been going! The last week or so they have hired a new night crew who totally screwed our drinks up and took around twenty minutes the first time. The second time they charged us wrong and got our order wrong even though they confirmed our order. I really try to just not go at night now. Day crew is %100 better. Always pass by Scooter's on my frequent drives up and down 280 and finally decided to give them a try. Do not regret it! Their caramel latte was a far better brew than what you might receive at Starbucks or Dunkin for a petty comparable price. Also tried their breakfast burritos, and it was delicious! Alexander City has been in dire need of a coffee joint especially since The Coffee Corner closed down [insert. sad face here]. This place is going to do VERY well - prime location, and fast service! I tried an Iced Vanilla Oat Milk latte with caramel sauce and it was DELICIOUS. SO smooth and creamy. A lot of times lattes with milk alternatives taste sort of watered down but you could have fooled me into thinking this was real milk - big fan! Service was fast, friendly, and very helpful. Stopped for coffee. The service was good, but not the coffee. My wife had a latte, which she said was okay. I wanted a single espresso, but was told they only sold triple shots, which is really stupid. They had single shot cups in the window where I could see them, but would only see me triple. It was terrible: over-roasted, no flavor and all acid. It had caffeine, but I could have gotten that at McDonalds. And the price was outrageous: $9.60. I will not be back. read more
