Don't miss this adorable but YUMMY spot!!!…read more Thanks to the Yelpers we took a 30 minute drive and wow oh wow did we make the right choice! Cute! Cozy! Clean! And the great words you want with good food! We sat in a cute little booth and right away Maisie brought us hot coffee and a happy morning greeting!!! I got the Matthew and the guys got biscuits and gravy! This isn't canned gravy: it's homemade served on hot, HOMEMADE biscuits and real sausage crumble. They serve their meals on cute old-timey aluminum plates. The coffee was hot and FRESH!!! The Matthew was potatoes and peppers and eggs. I picked scrambled eggs but you can have it your way!! The Matthew is hot diced potatoes straight from the griddle, diced sweet onions and sweet peppers with lean tasty shave steak and a little cheese. They top it with a zig zag of hot sauce (they'll hold that back if you like) and served on one of the cute aluminum plates. It's delicious!!! Ms Audra, the owner, served us herself. They tempted us with apple cobbler and buttermilk pie. Hard to decide but we went out the door with a perfect ice-cold Coca-Cola and a bag full of take-out apple cobbler that made our car smell like hot sweet spiced apples. We are definitely going back! Skip all the franchises and go have breakfast, lunch, or supper at your new favorite spot with the best home cooking. Call beforehand and they can tell you any specials but it is ALL special. Clean bathroom. Cute front porch! Enjoy! Thank you Ms Audra and Maisie!!!! And Happy Thanksgiving!

Bumped by here about two weeks ago for a drink for the road after lunch on our way out of town…read moreheaded to the gulf. I picked this spot because it was local and they had a drive through for coffee. I didn't go inside but it's a cute little building. Limited parking and a sort of twisty drive through, but I really like the concept. I wish more higher quality places had a drive through. I ordered one of their seasonal specials, the Cadbury Egg. It's a double shot espresso with white mocha, regular mocha, and caramel. It gave me /bad/ sticker shock. I ordered the smaller size and it was almost $9. For the size of it, I thought the price was very, very high. Service was also quite bumpy. The girl who took my order didn't seem too happy to see me but she took my payment and went back to make my drink. We waited a while, and then a different, friendlier girl came to see if we'd been helped, which we said we had. Then we waited....a lot longer. The first girl finally came back after an extended time, made a very halfhearted apology for our wait (after we watched her horsing around with a male employee right behind the window) , and we were finally on our way. The drink was aggressively fine. I didn't taste any caramel and it mostly had a sort of nondescript mocha vibe. It was a touch on the bitter/burnt side too, though not unmanageable. I think I'm more upset about the price vs the size and quality rather than anything intrinsically wrong with the drink; if I could've had the same drink at around ~$5-6 I'd probably bump up to a 3 star rating. As is, though, it was a mid drink for a high price served very, very slowly with a touch of surliness. I wonder if service is quicker on the inside. They didn't seem too busy but it's hard to tell what was going on indoors; the drive through had no one ahead of us though. The food offerings look good. Perhaps I just caught them on a bad day.
