Nobody should put this baby in the corner! Regardless, in it's little corner in a shopping plaza off Bridge Rd, sits this little "dive bar/restaurant". I'm relatively new to the area and after my first time there with my mom for lunch, I was sold. Then we decided to put their To Go service to the test, and like Baby from DIrty Dancing, this place flew off the charts! For lunch we were the first or second table at the place and our waitress was the best, she went out of her way to go down to another store to get my mom a Coke since the only serve Pepsi, there only flaw at this point. However, the burgers were perfectly cooked, the fries were crsipt on the outside, soft on the inside and HOT! The prices were very reasonable for the portions and the fast friendly service! For takeout, we ordered around 6pm on a Friday. I got there and it was standing room only, but i waited maybe 5 minutes before my food was ready and it was just the way we ordered, the wrapped the accouterments so they didn't get warm from the burgers or get the buns soggy (thank you!) and everything was great! If you haven't been, you have to try it. I don't normally eat burgers unless ive cooked it myself, but this place as won me over. read more

First time coming here & they called us Virgins & brought us 2 cherries, lol. Lisa gave us good service. Wings were raw & chicken fajitas were burnt & dry. Tortillas hard. I arrived here cranky and hungry. Luckily, our server, Lisa, saw through this and treated us great. I was surprised with the menu variety. I got the meatball sub with a bloody mary appetizer. Both were super tasty. I had low expectations going in, but I'm glad this place was suggested to me, ie: I wanted to go somewhere else, but here we are. Post dive lunch! We were going to go somewhere else, and it was closed. So a local directed us to Scooters... and I am glad they did. had a patty melt with onion rings. The melt was cooked perfectly and very tasty... one of the best I have had. Onion rings were crisp and pretty darn tasty. The rest of the group I was with ( 8 people in all) all had different things, and all said they were happy and satisfied. Portions are good sized, and they have a good cook. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is many people want a place on the water or some other kind of atmosphere. I have gone to this place for 30 years. This place is awesome! Super local with cold beer and great, cheap food. Most if their items are home made. They have great special's varying daily usually including a soup and special entree/sandwich. No matter what they have the BEST WINGS EVER! My husband and I love wings and order them frequently when we eat out. When at Scooters they are ordered 100% if the time and never fail to be amazing! If you like spicy (and I mean spicy) order their doctor death sauce. They also have smokehouse Wednesday for which they serve ribs. This is everything a local bar should be, where the bartenders and staff can tell upon entering who is local and who is not, where the lights are low, the drinks flow easily and the food is comforting and makes you smile. Have the fish dip or have nothing. It is that good. I so love my local bars and this moves to the top of the list. This would be the perfect place for me to sit when I am writing sci-fi. Scooters has been a part of the community for longer than I can remember (35 years), although for most of that time, I was not a not a patron. I have been there twice in the past year, and I can honestly say, I haven't missed much. Went again last evening with another couple (natives), and it lived down to my expectations. Scooters is the quintessential dive bar, with the emphasis on the word "dive" Every surface is sticky with dirt and grease, and if you look closely at the tiled floor, it's not black grout between the tiles, it's grey that has turned black with grime. I would really love to turn this place over to Robert Irvine of "Restaurant: Impossible" just to see his reaction to the dirt and grime that appears to liberally coat everything in he place. We ordered the ""Bang Bang Shrimp"; a basket of fries; a dozen medium hot "Buffalo Wings" a dozen of their BBQ Grilled Wings" and a pitcher of Bud lite. Now what we were served as "Bang Bang Shrimp" resembled nothing I have ever tasted as "Bang Bang Shrimp" before in my life. What we received was a small basket of smallish (41-50 count) shrimp, and "banana pepper" rings that had been over breaded and deep fried at too cool of a temperature, as the items were overly greasy, and fried until joined; then drowned in an obviously purchased in a jar, sweet chili sauce. There was nothing remotely resembling the delectable goodness in true Asian "Bang Bang Shrimp". As for the medium Buffalo Wings, again cooked at too cool a temperature, as they were overly greasy, and not at all crunchy. The medium "buffalo sauce" was to my taste, another product right out of the can or bottle. The BBQ wings showed some potential, but after the wings had been grilled (and in a few cases, partially cremated), they were doused in an overly sweet (obviously canned) BBQ sauce (which was permeated by the taste of "liquid smoke". With the fries, there were no pretexts, frozen, crinkle cut fries under cooked, and cooked too cool. The fries were limp, mushy, slightly golden colored chunks of potato. With a big cast iron Dutch oven full of 450 degree (f) peanut oil, and a little Zateran's Cajun spice mixture, I can turn the exact same pre cut /frozen fries into delectable bites of goodness. But with no care or concern, we were served "blech" fries. So, dirty, and poor quality food, but with really inexpensive draft bears, scooters warrants two stars. So come for the beer, and leave because of the food ~ that would be the perfect Scooters experience. read more

I don't normally post negative things but I just stopped here for lunch ordered a simple wedge salad with a piece of chicken and it took 35 minutes to get out the bartender brought my bill and then she accidentally cash somebody else's bill out and gave me back change I left her five bucks I thought it was $12 she gave me back 14 I just ended up leaving the whole 20 there a real disorganized food not that good and not worth a 35 minute wait at lunchtime read more

Busy when I walked in at 6 PM. A friend recommended the "Cowboy Ribeye" so I ordered one medium done. The house salad, onion rings and broccoli were good and the steak was good too, although more rare than medium. The problem is that I bit down on a big sharp bone spicule. When I pointed it out to the waitress she said, "Oh sometimes that happens with the red meat." I thought to myself, sometimes you get a visit to the hospital or morgue too. Anybody with a decreased gag reflex due to medication or age should be careful eating here. You could be taking your life in your hands. read more

This is a great bar with friendly locals as well as many out of towners who have discovered this authentic Florida watering-hole. Twice the food however was mediocre at best, but as I really want to like this place Im going to give it another shot. On a positive note, the chef puts on dishes that you wouldn't normally see in a country style bar e.g. Duck breast salad with almonds, strawberries, blueberries and a raspberry vinaigrette dressing! The salad dressing was probably out of a bottle although, possibly (and definitely should have been) homemade. Also the dressing was way too much, so that towards the end it resembled soup. Ask for it on the side next time I was told. Their french fries are possibly the worst my partner had ever eaten- cold, soft and totally unappetizing. Like I said, Ill give it another try. read more

Scooters is truly a dive in the most respected meaning of this term of endearment. A dive to me is a) a place where more locals than tourists eat and drink, b) has great food, c) is either inexpensive or a really great value, d) knows how to pour a proper pint or drink, and e) not a place you go to for "the experience" or the "Ambiance". Five stars for the food and NO STARS for the service we received this Monday for lunch. We've been customers for over 15 years and have NEVER been disappointed in the food.....I even loved it when you had "Battle of the chefs" years ago. It was after 1pm and it was not busy and there were two waitresses where we were seated, I believe there were 6 booths on the west side of the main room, only 4 were being used and one had finished and left before anyone came to give us menus and take our drink order. She brought them and we placed or order. After the food was delivered and we needed another beverage and asked a waitress for help, her response was "I'll get YOUR WAITRESS", which finally happened. She never came back to see if we needed anything, including the check. My daughter and I had to leave we no longer wanted to wait for the check and our waitress noticed and walked from the kitchen and then of course had to go back and get the check. read more

Ok so I love this place because they have amazing cheese fries! I've also had the buffalo chicken sandwich which is also great! This place has great, affordable prices & some pool tables for entertainment. I will say though that both alcoholic beverages my friend & I ordered were watered down so maybe just stick to beer here or ask for light ice? I came here on a Friday night & they had a live band playing which was nice, but also loud. If you're not into that sort of thing I'd say go on a weekday, but definitely try the cheese fries if you come here! read more

I have a love hate relationship with this local watering hole. I love the relaxed atmosphere and the easy bar menu but there are a few issues here that just can't be overlooked. We go pretty often but have slowed down on our attendance since we've noticed that every time we go our bill is completely different. Depending on who's working sometimes the same drinks cost more or less which is a alarming lack of consistency that a restaurant should never have. Because of this issue we've stopped going in most days and evenings except for Sunday's as Denise has always been hospitable and wonderful to us, she's become our favorite as well as Carley. This probably stems from the archaic ticket system they have in house. With the lack of a POS its all memorization and training, leaving it open to interpretation which isn't cost effective for the business and offensive to the guest. The food here is usually very consistent and the menu is a very simple sports bar menu but with daily specials it takes the restaurant up a notch. The only thing I wish was that their food between dinner and lunch was more consistent, balanced and seasoned. It's a great place for a filling juicy burger and an ice cold beer. No frills, nothing fancy just a local sports bar in a tiny town making it work. read more

It took me a couple of visits to get this place, but I finally realized it's a really good locals place that is friendly enough for outsiders to visit. The staff is PRO to the max, they are almost all female, all very energetic and helpful, just great service all the way around. I am sure not everyone feels this way, but this place is BUSY all the time, they kick ass around the clock. I haven't tried much of the food, but the wings were good, which is good enough for me, and the beer is cold and served quickly. Scooter's is the kind of place where little kids shoot pool while their parents eat, and real hustlers vie for tables with them during normal dinner hours. Live music too on the weekends. read more
