I wanted to introduce my mother in law to this pretty place. We decided to do an impromptu dinner. Unfortunately, they forgot about us sitting in the corner. I had to go grab the hostess to find our server and out popped Alexis. Super sweet, bubbly and kind! She is amazing in every way. We ordered burgers and I had to send mine back as it wasn't done enough. Alexis to the rescue. Swooped it up and back it came perfectly cooked. The restaurant is decorated beautifully but I'm looking for that holiday vibe. Overall, we will be back!

Will be quick on this. Large open patio for dining, ambient inside seating with large bar. Quaint, friendly servers and staff with amazing live music (Bj Parks was their music lineup and this guy is an amazing musician / singer...). I ordered (2) "Palm Classic" old fashions, their incredible, amazing P & I burger which is a combo of short rib, chuck, and brisket blend, ordered it medium rare with a side salad instead of fries. Quick, simple, and I believe probably THE best burger I have ever stuffed in that hole in my face. Truly a must do if never...

So we went back to try happy hour..... And just like brunch, it did not disappoint! The drinks and the bites were on point. The honey espresso martini is enough to go in for on its own, but pair that up with their wings and your night will be complete!

Stopped for nightcaps & we're not disappointed. Brown butter bourbon & a delicious tiki drink. Great atmosphere & consistently great cocktails.

Tried Palm and Ivy tonight and it was delicious! Atmosphere is great! Food was really good too! Definitely unexpected and will definitely dine here again! We had the goat cheese croquettes, salmon and burrata and fig salad with grilled chicken. Didn't take a pic of cocktails because they were super delish!

Anyway we were hypnotized by the orchestra of people working in there. The food was really good: snapper, chicken kabobs and fried chicken. Took forever once seated to get food or any type of service. Eventually went to the bar to get a refill of drinks along with others in our crew. The menu is an absolute joke as there is a lot of fill on what they serve you but both my wife I chose the burger as it was the most likely to interpret what I'm ordering. One it came after about an 1 -1 1/2 hours the burger was ok and fry's looked like it was fried in old oil. They were cold and for the money it was not worth it. I think a Macdonald Big Mac would have tasted better at a fraction of the cost. $27 for a burger, cold fries and a small milk shake which I couldn't understand that addition. While sitting at the table I am getting dripped on by the AC duct as that portion is in front of the door opening and with humid air coming in hitting that cold duct it was condensation and dripping on the patrons. In this case me. The server was terrible in my opinion and didn't really cater to many of our needs but the restaurant feels obligated to charge 20% gratuities of 6 people or more. Now I understand that concept as foreign people don't tip like in their country or none at all but that is where the problem is. If a server is good or bad they still are get their tip and in this case there was no incentive for good service. If I am paying $27 for a burger and fries that server better attend to my needs quickly and efficiently. Not sure if I ever will return to this restaurant as it left a bad taste. I usually go by the baseball rule 1 2 3 strikes your out but what brought me over to 3 strikes is the stupid menu and pricing. I think I will make my own dinner at home and bring it to the causeway for a better view and cheaper food and much better food.

For our entrees, I had the seafood platter, my bride had the shrimp scampi. Finally for dessert we shared a slice of the caramel cheesecake. THE ATMOSPHERE: The restaurant is on the water with bar seating and white cloth table dining in several rooms. If you're looking for seaside dining Pirates Cove will suite you fine. THE FOOD: Our appetizers... My French onion soup was made like a traditional French onion soup with plenty of melted cheese and oodles of onions. There were plenty of mussels bathed in a delicious white wine and butter base for my brides mussels appetizer. Our entrees... My seafood platter featured a small serving of white fish, which was nice and juicy, two small stuffed shrimp, which were quite tasty, two scallops made properly (not under cooked and slimy or overcooked and rubbery). My brides shrimp scampi featured 5 small shrimp over a bed of linguine. The dish was well made with hints of garlic and butter in the balanced cream sauce. The dessert: Our caramel cheesecake dessert was creamy and rich. THE SERVICE: It's always a challenge for a server to serve large parties, but our server did great. Delivered our drinks in a timely fashion watched over us for any needed refills and clearly explained any questions we had. THE BOTTOM LINE: As always with my reviews, the "customer so what" would I return is complicated for the Pirates Cove. My answer... probably not. Why not if the food was prepared properly, the ambiance was fitting for a seafood restaurant and the service was fine? The answer lies in serving size, price and add on charges. I don't mind paying premium prices for a premium meal but Pirates Cove charged $40 for a seafood platter that should more realistically be called a seafood sampling. At $36 My wife's shrimp scampi should have featured large shrimp instead of the small shrimp she received. And, finally, the add on prices which included a 3% service charge and a whopping 21% tip. I don't mind tipping heavily for good service and our server would have probably gotten 25% if it was my choice. However, I HATE having a restaurant dictate what I'll tip! I understand mandatory tipping for a large party but I've never seen it set at 21%! As for the service charge, it was placed on every bill whether you paid with a credit card or not. One of my guests asked if that was a credit card fee (which I hate as well) and was told if he paid cash, our servers would take that fee off. How many people didn't know enough to ask that question, and end up paying that fee when paying with cash?? I hate underhanded trickery like that and discourage it by not returning. In summary you'll have to ask yourself before dining at Pirates Cove, is the food, ambiance and service quality worth the rest? If it is, enjoy. As for me, I'll skip it. There are too many other great seafood places that will provide quality dining, great service and atmosphere without the unwelcome luggage included.

The bartender Bowin was great but the owner that was talking down to him was absolutely appalling. First thing I heard across the bar before taking my drink order "I heard you're wanting to serve here and it's not gonna happen" which shocked me because where I come from if you have a correction to make with an employee take it up in the office, not in the public eye. I'm visiting and wanted a nice happy hour experience but let me say I'm never happy seeing workers mistreated like that. I was polite enough to wait until the end of my meal to speak with the owner, Ron, and he was very dismissive. He said the following "it's not that deep, you don't know the full story, etc." which absolutely true I don't know the full story but I don't need to. Actions speak louder than words. The way he treated him I would never support someone like that and first impressions are everything so shame on him. I stayed because I wanted to give Bowin a good tip and ensure I take this up with the owner before leaving instead of leaving a review. Here we are, I'm leaving a review because hospitality is very important in 2 sectors: 1) the way you feel; 2) the experience. I give a singular star for Bowin's great service as well as Celine's but Ron, the owner, doesn't deserve anyone's money for the way he treats his employees. I've never left a review like this but there's a first for everything. I do not recommend this establishment but if you do go please sit at the bar with Bowin or Celine because they deserve a good tip to take home. I support them but not this establishment or Ron. The way you treat your employees is the way they will treat your customers. I will also not be dismissed by someone like this. At first I wasn't going to say anything because I'm on vacation but I will not stand for this nor support this.

This was our first visit, and the restaurant is tucked away in a shopping plaza. From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed. This is a family-owned restaurant, and even the son, who is currently in college, still works here. He was actually our waiter, and I was incredibly impressed that he memorized all five of our orders, including drinks and special requests. Everything came out perfectly, which is no small feat for a larger group. The owner is absolutely wonderful. Dining here doesn't feel like you're sitting in a restaurant--it feels like you're a guest in someone's home. We ordered a bottle of wine, and she personally came to our table to share the history of the wine and where it originated before opening the bottle for us. It was such a warm and personal touch that made the experience feel special. Three of us ordered the lamb Bolognese, and it was easily a 10/10. The portions were so generous that all three of us took leftovers home. The flavors were rich, delicious, and comforting. I ordered the eggplant appetizer and shared it with one of the girls in exchange for some of her Bolognese. The eggplant was absolutely fantastic, and I would order it again without hesitation. The menu offered so many tempting options that it took us forever to decide what we wanted. Ironically, most of us ended up wanting the same thing, which gave us all a good laugh. On Thursdays, they offer a prime rib special for $20. One of my girlfriends, who follows a high-protein diet, ordered it and absolutely loved it. She said it practically melted in her mouth and happily took the remainder home. When you first walk in, there's a small, quaint bar that seats about six or seven people. The owner was behind the bar crafting cocktails, and she mentioned that Old Fashioneds and spritzes are her specialties. I originally planned to order a rosé, but after watching her make an Old Fashioned, I changed my mind. I'm glad I did--the drink was smooth, balanced, and thoroughly enjoyable. Overall, if you're looking for a place where you'll feel genuinely welcomed and treated like family, this is it. I would absolutely recommend making the drive, even if it's out of your way. I drove 40 minutes to get here, and it was completely worth it.

I was…read moretold I had the duck but, honestly it obviously didn't leave an impression one way or the other. Why I had duck at an Italian restaurant is beyond me. Clearly it was not the dish to try. However, that was not the experience I had with my most recent visit. The Ambiance The ambiance is a cross between your typical Italian restaurant with wallpaper scenes of Italy and a sports bar with photos of baseball players (predominantly my team, the Yankees) and a Tom Brady wall when he was with the Buccaneers. There's high-top tables and bar seating in the bar area and a large dining area in the dining area. The Service Efficiency with a smile would be the best way to describe the service. It seemed like everyone had a job and each person filled that job to perfection. Tables were cleaned as soon as they were messed, dishes were cleared as soon as they were done, drinks were refilled immediately all with a smile and the utmost of courtesy. As a restauranteur, I must say I have never seen such efficiency and professional courtesy all in one package. The Food If you like big dishes, one's that provide enough leftovers for a week, you'll love this place. If you like fantastic Italian food, this is the place for you, if you enjoy a great dessert, you'll find one right here. For our appetizer, we shared the Calamari. It had a crispy crust and a uniquely chewy, yet tender interior. My lovely bride chose the Chicken Piccata over a bed of Angel Hair Spaghetti. The chicken was oh so tender with just the right lemon in the sauce to add a bit of zest. I chose the eggplant parm with rigatoni and sweet Italian sausage. The eggplant, although a bit thicker than I like, was covered in a crispy layer of melted mozzarella cheese. The eggplant was tender and tastefully finished with a nicely seasoned breading. The entire dish was amply topped with a robust marinara sauce. The accompanying rigatoni was a bit too thin for me but was cooked Al Dente to perfection. For dessert, we chose the tiramisu and peanut butter pie. Both were excellent with the tiramisu featuring just the right blend of coffee and cream. The peanut butter pie was oh so creamy and finished with a sprinkling of chocolate. Both were a fitting way to end a great dining experience. The bottom line The bottom line as always with my reviews is my "customer so what" ... would I come back? I'm sure you know the answer based on my above review. Although pretty expensive for an Italian restaurant... $150.00 for a party of two, the size of the dishes is big enough to provide leftovers for another two dinners, I definitely would return and if you haven't been there, it's definitely worth the trip.
