What a HUGE disappointment and a ruined Mother's Day dinner! Sadly, we have been coming since they opened and will not be back, and will be sure to warn others to not waste their money. A 5pm reservation would make one think, quality service and a fresh hot kitchen! Well something certainly has changed in the last few months because we received neither! After explaining to our server how excited we were to be there for Mother's Day and how it was our parents first visit we placed an order of 3 appetizers (all more bland and less hot than they should be) - keep in mind the restaurant was mostly empty. As we waited for our entrees (an unusually long time) our server didn't check on drinks or water. When 3 of our 4 entrees did come out, we waited for the 4th as manners would expect. Five minutes, 10 minutes, still nothing. When I finally was able to flag down our server there was some excuse about "mixed up tickets" and that a "manager would be right over." 15 more minutes, all were done with their meals as my husband still awaited his entree. No manager, no server. Completely unacceptable. As my sweet husband cut into his filet, completely over cooked and rubbery, was supposed to be medium- he dare not send it back as everyone else was done and he felt terrible. To make matters worse, my father's fish, was loaded with blood line, ruining the flavor of the meat of the snapper. The least they could do was send a manager over. $200 later- (no alcohol) we will definitely never be back and you shouldn't waste your time or money either. This place is just fantastic! It was our first time going there. We had seen the other reviews and wanted to try it. We didn't need reservations when we called and were seated right away. We had Alexis as our server. Let me just say she is everything you could ever want in a server. We can't recommend her enough. We will always ask for her. The food was outstanding. We had the bolognese, the Philly cheesesteak egg rolls and the goat cheese croquettes they were all super delish and enjoyed by everyone. We had as well dessert with the Oreo peanut butter cup and the donuts and carrot cake. So so so tasty. Can't wait to go back here and have already told others. I wanted to introduce my mother in law to this pretty place. We decided to do an impromptu dinner. Unfortunately, they forgot about us sitting in the corner. I had to go grab the hostess to find our server and out popped Alexis. Super sweet, bubbly and kind! She is amazing in every way. We ordered burgers and I had to send mine back as it wasn't done enough. Alexis to the rescue. Swooped it up and back it came perfectly cooked. First timers here and close but not super close to where we are in Stuart, w went with some friends to P&I on a Saturday night. Reservations at 7, we were seated promptly. Walking through the bar area (packed) we enjoyed seeing a lively atmosphere is an overall nice setting. Dry Jan, so no drinks. My wife and I split the Maple Kry rubbed wings. 8 of them. They were excellent. We then wanted to split a wedge salad and the pork chops. They did 'kitchen' split this for us which we really appreciated. 1) Wedge Salad: Was very good if I'm being picky, a bit too much dressing but overall, really enjoyed. 2) Pork Chops. Here's where it went a bit wrong. They delivered the two kitcken plate salads and ONE pork chop plate. But never said 'the other one is coming'. So here we are looking at our $33 pork chop with a ridicilously little amount of food. Luckly the other plate came a few minutes later. At a nicer place such as P&I, this shouldnt' have happened in IMO. Ok, past that......a portion of the Pork chop was raw, yes raw. My wife and I didn't speak to it much but as our stomachs rumbled a bit later, we discussed it. We were like 'uh oh' As we were w friends we chose to not say anything but rather not eat the parts 'really raw'. The Palm and Ivy chef must have departed Hobe Sound. Our fish dishes tasted fishy and the service at the high top tables was sub par. We used to believe the food was exceptional at Palm and Ivy but not any more. Glad we returned to NJ for some better meals. read more

So unfortunate to be writing this review.. we have been a regular at Palm and Ivy since it opened always receiving great quality food. We typically do pickup orders and even then the food would be hot and delicious 9 times out of 10. The past couple of orders have been such a massive disappointment, it begs the question if they have had a change in ownership because the standards can't seem to have dropped more. Last order we did i received a chicken Milanese (what I always get) the texture of a chicken nugget - way over breaded - mushrooms in what is normally Parmesan only risotto, no lemon which is vital for the dish, and to top it all off, a blonde hair in my food. (I'm a brunette) I didn't even eat my food. This order was the last straw. We ordered a steak sandwich cooked medium, the steak that came was thin strips that were a quality that could have come from dive bar and well done. They also ordered the carne asada salad - $28 mind you - the salad consisted of ice berg lettuce, chopped tomatoes, three pickled onions and NO STEAK! Literally how did they forget to put steak on the STEAK SALAD???? Do not go here! It's gone so far down hill it's not even funny. I would be surprised if it doesn't go out of business before the summer ends. read more

Very good option if you're looking for a fun night out. The venue is very large but doesn't feel loud or cavernous as they've segmented the space into a few separate dining areas. It's not overly formal and fine for kids, families, or just adults. The menu is extensive with a little something for everyone. The goat cheese and burrata entrees are fine but there isn't enough variation across the two make make them unique. So get one not both for the table. The burger is delicious, and we shared a southwest salad, which was Ok. Service could improve - nothing bad to report, but just a very novice group of servers. read more

We visited P&I and unfortunately we did not have a great experience. I ordered the hot honey chicken sandwich and it was inedible. The chicken could not get cut and there was so much runny coleslaw over the top that you could not eat it. I sent it back and our bartender Ashley was kind enough to remove it from the bill. She made great drinks and my bf had the sliders which were good. I'm not sure if there's been changes in management and the kitchen staff there, but it was not busy and everyone appeared to be new. We were there about 2 months ago and had a great meal so we will give it another try in a few months read more

The decor is open and fresh, white washed wood and inviting, nice large bar area. Food and service were totally lacking. Wedge Salad uninspired Burrata & Fig Salad costly for the amount of Burrata Butternut Squash Soup, creamy, but flavorless Beef Tip Sliders, tasty with small pieces of meat Pan Roasted Chicken, tough and hard to cut, flavorless Salmon & Halibut were ok Key Lime Pie is actually Cheesecake with a key lime flavor Now, here's why I would not go back! They automatically charge 18% service charge (tip) on the total bill and we were a party of 4. They took off one of our meals, because it was described wrong by the server, but still charged the 18% on that item AND then they charge tax on the service charge (tip). You have about 4 choices from the Happy Hour menu and 1 of them was a medium size "Empanada", fried and served in a plate and garnished with made up salsa of corn and red onions. I would not even pay $4 for it. Don't bother paying $18 for their Wedge Salad which is from their Main Menu. On top of that, they added 18% service charge without your knowledge and asked for additional Tip on the bottom of the bill. Make sure you check your bill before giving your credit card. Ate here the other night. The place is beautiful and the staff is friendly. Our server wasn't super knowledgeable about the menu. The people bringing out food brought incorrect orders to our table twice. So these are some training points for management to address. That being said, when we got the correct food, it was very good. Everyone at my table was happy with their meals, except I will say the gnocchi with vegetables was more vegetables than gnocchi. We didn't order that dish for the vegetables. The food and atmosphere make it a great place for a special occasion meal. I've read other comments where people state the noise level in the restaurant is too much. This is true. No one was being particularly loud, but when the area starts to fill up, you cannot hear the people at your table. I hope this is remedied! With minor tweaks, this place could be a gem. read more

If the restaurant had a good view or anything to set it above average, my review would be higher.
