Vic and Scooters cycles are a savior! Point blank! My bike is my sole transportation. I relocated to the area for my job at the shipyard and my bike broke down when I got here. I was on vacation in southern Mississippi (from New England) for the purpose of getting some riding in only to end up with an electrical malfunction with my HD Fatboy. They understood my plight and fit me into the schedule in a reasonable amount of time understanding I was on a limited timeline. It wasn't a simple problem to find but they were tenacious. When it turned out that Harley-Davidson couldn't supply the parts, the owner helped me locate replacements online. When they arrived they installed them for me, and pointed me to the HD dealership because the new electronics had to be synced using a computer only HD has (that's a HD issue and no fault of the repair shop). They helped us load and tie down the bike. This is my second time doing business here; the first being a trip a year ago when they installed my new tires, did a service and trimmed my windshield for me. The owner is very knowledgeable about Harley Davidsons and is so friendly and helpful. I will definitely return if needed in the future before I'd go to an HD dealer. read more

A few friends suggested this place when I was looking for a place to take my bike. Now, I don't listen to my friends anymore. Brought the bike in for a simple carb cleaning and syncing, as well as a new starter relay installed. Should have been a 3-5 hour job. They had my bike for nearly 2 1/2 months. Every week I called, they kept trying to make as if something else was going wrong with the bike. At first, I was told that the battery was bad. Well, that's doubtful, as I had the battery tested and charged at a local auto store. Then, I was told there was a series of wiring problems. I was also told I needed a new starter solenoid (which turned out to not be the issue, so the old one was put back on). Then, supposedly, the bike was being hauled and wasn't secured properly, so it went over and scratched up the immaculate paint job. They had to remove the tank and bring it elsewhere to be painted. Not sure why they couldn't paint it. I'm also not sure why on earth they'd be taking my bike home to work on it. Of course, someone else pointed out that someone was probably riding it, and dropped it, which may have caused the other sudden issues with the bike. I was given a million little excuses, and it got to the point that the owner wanted to be paid for the work they'd done to the bike, and just get it out of his shop, before it was even running correctly. What the hell am *I* supposed to do with a bike that isn't up to par? Isn't that the whole point of being a damned repair shop? Fixing bikes? All in all, they had my bike for a day shy of 10 weeks, I forked out $500 for a new battery, a bypassed ignition, and supposedly cleaned carbs. I'm not happy with the work, or the run around that I got. I learned a very expensive lesson with these guys. The owner and the mechanic both seemed nice (until they got frustrated with the fact that they couldn't get my bike up to par), but I feel like I was jerked around and screwed out of cash. I'm actually considering taking them to small claims court to pay for the actual repair of the bike. read more

Avoid this shop at all costs. They are absolutely worthless. Had my bike for 3 months. Said they put 20 hours into the carburetor, and ignition coil. Still didn't run. Told me they couldn't get parts so I had to order and pay for them upfront and have the delivered to the shop. They delivered to my house and the bike would not start. The owner's son (sitting in a de facto owner) delivered the bike, then, when it wouldn't run and I refused to pay, threatened to "knock me the fuck out" Classy dude. They took the bike back then 2 weeks later said they give up. Still made me pay $200 or they wouldn't have delivered. Do yourself a favor and do not do business with them. Tell everyone you know to stay away. read more
