Now our first daughter is four and a half, and when our second daughter was born (she just turned 2), we knew she'd be happy and well-taken-care-of (and well-loved) there, too! Our second had some gross motor skill delays and had certain special requirements for her care as an infant, and we might have worried that she would have a hard time at full-time daycare, but we knew, based on the care we'd seen with other kids who needed a little help (some kids had their PTs visit during school), we knew that she would be just fine. She is a bright and happy kid, and we were so impressed and grateful for the many ways in which the Directors and her teachers in the infant rooms on up worked with her every day to keep her mind happy, stimulated and busy with age-appropriate activities even when she couldn't crawl when others were starting to walk. When she could crawl but not yet walk, but many classmates were walking, her teachers again made certain she could participate both inside the classroom and on the playground (and not be squashed by the walkers :D). Now she is walking proudly and hasn't looked back! :D We are forever grateful for all the special love and care for her! Both have been attending since they were a few months old, and we continue to be impressed by not only the care, but the educational curriculum, the safety and security of the school, the activities aimed specifically at each child's development, and even the menu! The directors and every teacher learns every child's name, and the girls love being greeted when they arrive. They also love the playground and projects and special fun days (and my preschooler is in Cub Camp for her second year, something she looks forward to), and I love that the curriculum is presented in a way that makes it fun to learn, and that each child comes home with a paper saying what she did, what she ate, how she napped, etc. each day. Most of all, though, you can tell that everyone loves and cares for your children, and it's a safe, nurturing environment that my husband and I feel comfortable having my girls attend. Highest recommendations!!!

Instead they fostered a hostile environment, provoked the child (and other children), and spoke in a very unprofessional manner directly to my 4 year old and to myself. They had difficulty maintaining a staff, and lacked consistency in all classrooms. They promised a lot in terms of education and preparation for kindergarten, but offered very little. We switched my child to another school where there is an emphasis on academics and curriculum, and my child is now thriving.

She loved all of her teachers, loved all the monthly themes and arts and crafts. She ALWAYS came out of school with a smile on her face. As a parent, I felt very comfortable knowing Peanut's was a safe environment with teachers and Directors who truly care about the well being of all of their students. My son is currently enrolled in the 2's program. He has grown so much since the start of the school year; I am already sad thinking about when my Peanut days are over. My son LOVES his teacher and co-teacher. When the teachers greet his class in the morning, my son lights up, smiles so big and rushes to get into the gate. As a Mom of a 2 year old boy, I couldn't ask for anything more, to see my son so excited each school day. I love that both Directors are involved in the classroom and know all the students names. I called again the next day and was told I'd receive a call back. I called a third time the following week and was apologized to. The woman I spoke to said she would call me back in a "few minutes". I had a missed call from the center, so I called back to which the same woman said "Sorry I didn't mean to call you back, I thought I had time to speak but I don't. I will call you later". Never got a call back. There's no way in hell you have absolutely NO time during the day to return a phone call inquiring about enrollment. If you don't have space, then say that. Beyond unprofessional & I wouldn't recommend this place in a million years.

Oyster Babies was caring and understanding. My daughter had been home with me up until she started there and they were sensitive to her needs and didn't push her to socialize but also didn't ignore her. When they became concerned with some of her behavior they met with me right away and were of great assistance getting her a full special education work up through Mill Neck Manor. They are a little expensive but they offer early and late care as well as flexible days. When I first put my daughter in school there I was working retail so I needed to have a sort off odd schedule and they were more than accommodating. The other wonderful thing is that food and all activities are included in their weekly/monthly fee. They serve breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack. All the food is tasty and they serve a variety of different things. The center director is there almost all the time along with the assistant director. They are both wonderful people and will help with parenting problems and unique family situations. My daughter is really happy there and has loved all of the teachers she has been I contact with. The center strives for a home feeling in a school environment so all the different teachers are familiar with all the students and can call them and usually their parents by name which really makes everything seem more homey and friendly. They are definitely worth considering. We couldn't be happier unless they were cheaper. Haha

Our son (who has developmental dyspraxia) will be pulled out at the end of the week at our request as we are no longer comfortable that he will be adequately cared for in this environment. I cannot speak to their competence in dealing with regular education students, I simply believe they have demonstrated that they are not willing or able to care for students moving through a special education track.

The admission fees is very expensive and I paid 400.00 each for two shadow dates and a statewide assessment test. Both of my children were denied into the school grades K & 7th. I was told they didn't test at a high enough percentile out of 96%, total BS. I must admit I was angry, but luckily both of my children were accepted into a better more diverse school. No child's needs a school were the faculty shrug their faces up at children visiting and are only out for money with fees combined with fees.. Overall Bridges Academy in West Islip is a Racist Parent run school who clearly doesn't want no kids from any other background unless your white with blue eyes!!!!!
